Give me a key that, when placed in a pedestal in any dungeon, chooses a random one from the pool. While this does virtually nothing to solve the issues outlined in this article, it would eliminate those pesky discussions in your guild/community group. Also, what kind of key you get does not have to determine the chances of finishing it, which was a point above.
Nerf ruby last boss then we’re gucci
The fact that there are some people who think you can outheal the skeleton wall from SBG after the fix proves that nerfing mid-season is going to cause problems. People don't read patch notes, and when a fight is suddenly easier they'll think that they are suddenly stronger/better at the game. When a fight is suddenly harder, it's other peoples' fault.Either provide an in-game popup for m+ hotfixes to tell players "HEY THAT THING IS NOW HARDER HEADS UP"(and many will just ignore it anyway), or don't make dungeons harder mid season. All that said, IMO SBG could be fixed by just flat-out buffing everything as if it were 2-3 key levels above current (and for the love of god reduce the health on worm boss; that boss isn't hard, it just takes way too long to die. Shave the timer if needed)Personally, I'd love a QoL change to reduce/remove RP elements from some m+'s, even if it cost the timer. Skovald, Odyn, Melandrus door, and even the CoS boat are all kinda useless. Melandrus door specially, where you lose time if you do the dungeon right instead of forcefully messing up something to avoid the long RP.
The problem it's not that some dungeons are more difficult than other, it’s true for any kind of content.I’m surprise than no one speak about how bad is the loot system in M+. If the great vault was not the only source of reward for M+, more difficult dungeon will not be a problem. They will be like the last boss of a raid. But because we have to max out the great vault, everybody want to push the easiest key…It will be so much better to loot the same “low” ilvl in the GV and increase the cap of valor. If you want to upgrade a item, you will need to time all the dungeon in a certain lvl.
blizzard has shown that they cant balance m+ proberly if its to easy pushers cry if its to hard the opposite happens you cant please everyone soreduce the weekly rewards to +15 again and scale up 20+ keys even more for those who want to push also reduce the dungeons you need for the vault to 1 3 6 or add dungeon gear only so people who dont like m+ dont have to deal with it and those who love it can still do it forcing people to do m+ or pvp or raids is not the way if they want to gear upas example i only like to raid so give me more loot from raiding
Do the last boss of RLP on 18+ Tyran and then Run CoS/SMBG/ any other key on 18+ Tyran and look me dead in the eyes and say the disparity of difficulty is acceptable. It almost feels untested
The changes are barely noticeable. It's more QOL than actual nerfs. The new dungeons are just bloated with mechanics that make them tedious and really not that fun. Blizz should look to remove mechanics from the fights or nerfing certain mechanics into the dirt. Do a Azure Vault or RLP and then do a COS and tell me those dungeons are at ALL parody of each other. Dungeon balance overall has been one of the biggest failures of DF right along side the restraining valor cap and the catalyst not being released sooner
Nerfs are barely noticeable... 80% of m+ dungeons are still massively overtuned.
As a healer with ptsd from Legion tyrannical Hyrja and Melandrus it does feel nice to have these two brought down to a more reasonable scale. There are still and will always be healer checks, and if it’s not challenging enough for the big boys that’s why the keys can always go higher.Sure it feels nice to prove you can do something that most people can’t do, but this balance was needed even if it is slightly too far. What’s better: Happily completing a dungeon with bosses of relatively equal difficulty across the key, or...Doing the whole key in time then spending 20 minutes on the last boss cause it is just so far out of scale and it’s all your fault. I’ll take the former. If big boys need big boy checks there’s always more key levels for the 1% to enjoy.
How about these guys play non meta specs from scratch WITHOUT any carries and then come back and complain if dungeons are "too easy". Being a Meta Slave every season and then flaunting your muscles doesn't represent the whole playerbase and I will go on a limb here and say it may not even represent 90% of your average casual playerbase.
Yes buff court and shadowmoon please, I'm tired to to 1-2 dungeons only for items and then struggle on the rest for score. RLP is just a fiesta pugs wipe on everything while SBG is unwipeable.
I think a geared healer being bored is a side effect of healing honestly, that's what gear does. However I think they could also take that time to dps if they're that over geared.
