This is trash. Gold isn't an issue for me, but this is a 2k gold purchase at best. I'd spend 100k on a skin that looked like the actual pirate dragon that literally everyone wants as a mount. This is a tragic comedy of pricing vs value.
Couldn't be bothered to at least throw on a hat. Way to go Bliz, you ruined an otherwise great thing -_-
Do people not know they make "expensive" stuff so its more "rare" if this was 1k everyone would have it and thats boring af.
It would have been nice if this drake looked like Timecap'n Hooktail from Tazavesh.
I just can't believe there isn't even the smallest discount for the Bloodsail Admiral, me!
i wish i could just pay 50k to have regular flight today.
Whether or not someone CAN afford it may not be the issue. Everyone will have to decide for themselves if it is WORTH the gold to them. If this could be used on all of the dragonriding mounts, then more people would probably think it is worth it. I happen to agree with the people who say that they would pay this for a mount, but not for a customization for a single drake. As to the comments regarding crafting ... that does not appeal to everyone, and that does not mean that someone is "playing the game wrong". In the end, people play in the way that makes them happy. As long as what they are doing does not hurt other players, then what is the difference?
bro doesnt pirates day &*!@in end today?
50k for some garbage skin next to no one will ever see? Hard pass lmao
I have no problem affording this. And I'm still not buying it. I don't even use the Highland Drake anymore but even if I did THAT is not worth 50K. Woo the treasure chest backpack glued to a slightly different saddle and armor set. If it gave our drakes an outfit like Captain Hooktail, I'd buy it in a second. But that? There's nothing that says pirate about that other than the recycled treasure chest and the BfA barnacles texture on the front leg pieces. I guarantee you this was slapped together from an existing unused armor and that cosmetic back. This seems to be the theme going forward. With the loss of talent and the cutting of planned content they're doing really low-effort stuff (see: Dreamsurges, even Timerifts) that's just recycled assets. The big stuff like the mega dungeon and raids were already in the pipeline with work done before they started bleeding talent. We'll get the final raid and gear and then probably nothing that's actually new for the rest of the expansion.
Shame they didn't use Timecap'n Hooktail's hooktail, pirate hat and "armor"
Always this model or the proto-drake... WHERE'S the love for the Cliffside Wylderdrake? Why is this even model specific? I like the smaller dragon both appearance-wise and because it feels better to maneuver. So far in Dragonflight both the Cliffside Wylderdrake and the Windborne Velocidrake remains the only dragonriding mounts yet to recieve a unique/special full-body skin or other customizations like all the other dragons.I get that this standard drake model and proto-drake have more commonly known boss builds to steal from, but I still wish they'd also make something for these 2 neglected models as well.
While that's kind of excessive, I'm sure that's doable with gathering professions. Then again, I might just be tolerating this because the dragonriding mounts are usually ugly when you change their scales.
