Blood DK
(Deathbringer)5% | 5% | Hero Talent Choice ExplanationA peculiar difference between patches 11.0.2 and 11.0.5 is the introduction of a 20% flat increase on Rune of Sanguination the moment your target loses 0.1% health, in addition to the previous bonus derived from the health deficit of your target. This is specifically applied through Unholy Bond and was noted nowhere in patch notes. It is the main reason why San'layn will still be ahead on single target by a noticeable enough amount, even after these buffs.
This is a significant buff - one would even go as far as to say that this makes Unholy Bond the highest value point talent on the class tree for blood.
Without this bug, San'layn and Deathbringer would be within striking distance in single target - Deathbringer being easier to play and more intuitive, and San'layn rewarding players with much more power when properly executed. Unfortunately, due to this peculiarly insane hidden buff, which also does not apply to any other Runeforge, the difference is a lot more significant. |
Frost DK (Deathbringer) | 1.2% | 1.3%
Frost DK
(Riders)5.5% | 5.2% | The Shattering builds are unlikely to overtake Deathbringer Breath of Sindragosa in highly competitive environments, but looks to be a solid alternative for people who really want to horse around |
| Feral Druid | 2-3% | 4-5% | |
Guardian Druid
(Druid)0.5% | < 0.5% | |
Restoration Druid| 1% | |
Survival Hunter
(Pack Leader)-3% | -2.2%
Survival Hunter
(Sentinel)-1.2% | -1.5%
Fire Mage
(Sunfury)7% | Neutral | Fire AoE is already very strong, it's the single target that holds it back. AoE should remain the same, but have more priority damage. |
Fire Mage (Frostfire) | 22.3% | Neutral | Frostfire is now ~11% better than Sunfury before the Patch and 4% better than Sunfury now. Same AoE notes as Sunfury. |
Frost Mage (Frostfire) | 9% | 11% | Frostfire was basically unplayable before. On ST, it should be quite close to Spellslinger, but on AoE it's still going to be a bit worse. |
| Windwalker Monk | 4-5% | 6-7% | Conduit is probably slightly better on ST/Cleave fights that last less than 2 minutes and about equal on ST/Cleave fights that last less than 4 minutes. Shado-Pan remains the general recommendation for all content. |
Protection Paladin (Templar) | < -1% | -2%
Protection Paladin
(Lightsmith)-5% | -10% | |
Holy Priest| 3% | |
Subtlety Rogue
(Deathstalker)5% | 7-9% | Deathstalker is now best on Single Target (was equal). For Mythic+, Tricker will likely remain the go to, but Deathstalker becomes competitive, making both options equally viable. |
Elemental Shaman (Farseer) (DPS) | 7% | 7% | These changes are expected to make Farseer more viable in Raiding and specifically Single Target, but are not sufficient to completely close the gap. In Mythic+ Farseer is still lacking too much AoE to be worth considering. |
Enhancement Shaman (Stormbringer) | -4.5% | -5.5%
Enhancement Shaman
(Totemic)-1% | -1% | Totemic is still too volatile for Mythic+ and in raids, the fights where Totemic is playable it'll likely be the same story. |
Restoration Shaman (Farseer) (DPS) | Large Damage Gain |
