In the end important lore characters are imo more important than zones and nameless NPCs becuse they can push story forward. What you won't do is gaslight people that Nelves consistently had a big spotlight since Legion. That's 4 expansions IN ROW. And Cataclysm because of Hyjal. (...) But nice that you handwave all the gains and focus on irrelevant stuff. I don't remember for Darkspears to get any extra cosmetic rewards for losing Vol'Jin, in recent expansionsrecency I know that the story is garbage, but it's objectively garbage for everyone. (...) Orcs were also mercilessly decimanted,They have been the canon fodder for q long while, and most of their prominent characters got killed. WoD was about killing almost every iconic orc hero. (...) You know what I'd also like? To keep Rastakhan alive, and finally get rid of old fossil that does nothing like Malfurion. NO OTHER race in the game has gotten so much stuff, be it in lore, transmogs, or even a freaking NEW CITY. Not even the Humans and Orcs (the game's poster races) got so much stuff as the NEs did.

Meanwhile, Gnomes have been trying to reclaim Gnomeregan for what, 19 years now?

So yeah. Be thankful to Blizzard for getting EVERYTHING a race could ever want.
