I started playing shortly after RoS came out and as a witch doctor, I'll never forget when I finally got my first Starmetal Kukri after seven months of searching and it dropped as ancient AND with perfect stats. That weapon was a game changer at the time. I started to get them regularly then after they buffed the drop chance, but none would ever be as special as the first one. That day was also my brother's 50th birthday, so it was a double celebration for me.Great memories 🥳
Diablo 4 is a game based on so called micro transactions soon it will be paid to win but then who cares ? A game that was released in 2012 is 5 times better than a game released at 2023 but d4 released in early beta. The title sold the pre-orders and game is proven sh*t and it's not based to be enjoyed is based to pay for sets that u can't even see in game not speak that the game is boring as hell. You only do nightmare dungeons pretty much and that's that , very overpaid game it should be 10-20 euros not 70 or 100 as some of us paid. I will advice any player not to buy that game (DIablo 4) you will be regret.
D3, where the seasons are actually fun and the cosmetics actually look cool.
in 11 years, you people will be talking about how great Diablo 4 was. And I'm not talking about Wowhead, I'm talking about the "fans" who complain about every aspect of the current product while it's current, and how great stuff was "back in the day."
Remembering at Journey's EndSeason 1 of Diablo 4 has been unleashed upon the world, and with it marks the beginning of the end of an age. Two months have passed since we set out with our heroes to stop the Eternal Conflict. With the help of our allies and the strength of the Ancients, we have felled wildlife and bandits uncountable in our never ending quest to end the Eternal Conflict and preserve the sanctity of life on Sanctuary. Rest in pieces Diablo 4, you'll never be good.
So what are you saying? If history is any indicator we have to wait a year for all the incompetent people to leave or get fired and an expansion to roll out for the game to be playable? I mean… you’re probably not wrong but that’s just sad if it proves to repeat itself.
After heads are rolling and new devs come in, we can hope for D4 to be awesome, yikes. Why do this company never learn? I tell you why, cause fans throw them the money regardless.
Played it from the begining, playing it now. Skipped a few seasons, but have seen all major events: patch 1.0.8 nerf of inferno, paragon 100, reaper of souls, seasons, broken af marauder set, roland set using shield bash, rework of 4p sets, focus/restraint, kanai cube, infamous Nevalistis post "we are listening". What a ride."This article clearly lays out D3 was a bad, essentially unfinished game / money sponge from its launch all the way to when RoS pre-patch hit. And even then, it took several iterations to make RoS the proper diablo experience we've had for the last several years." I think because D3 was meant to be a successor of D2 with different graphics, but it didn't work out so it actually became a thing of its own and that is good.
God it was so good to come back to d3 after the #$%^show of d4.Just wish they would continue to make new seasons for d3. I can't excite myself for d4 anymore, it's just bland and without any soul, just to make a quick buck.I only started playing after RoS launched so I can't say how D3 was before it, but it was such a good game at that time.So sad D4 will never get to the same level of fun. They clearly moved away from killing tons of mobs...
'The beggining of the end' - that means no more seasons? I heard about repeating the season from beggining or something like that
Jay Wilson getting himself removed from the team because of his public comments about the literal father of the franchise who offered some very basic constructive criticism is something I'll never forget and will always judge him for, because if you act like THAT publicly, then you deserve to be ripped off the project as its lead and shoved in a closet while the PR spin explains you are "seeking other opportunities in the company" before ultimately being fired and leaving the industry altogether because few companies wanted to associate with you afterwards.Diablo 3's AHs were an unmitigated disaster. They rigged the drop system so most things that dropped for you was worthless to that character at the time, often too low level and/or for a different class. Drops were also weighted against the AH stock. Things that were plentiful in stock dropped less, and things that were scarce or non-existent at the time on the AH dropped more often. These measures were designed to "encourage" people to use the AHs, but especially the RMT one that saw Blizzard triple-dipping by charging a listing, withdraw, AND a final value fee that a partner of theirs also got a cut of for their services in handling the transactions. For the people who came much later, none of this is supposition. They eventually admitted it, and that it was a failure and the feature would be removed going forward. They screwed with one of the the core gameplay mechanics of the franchise, the drop system and the hunt for items, simply to try and monetize the game. It's looked back on fondly by those who came in after RoS and major redesigns, but others will always remember how it became the first Blizzard game to get scathing reviews and something like a 95% player drop off after the first month.
To answer the question about seasons, D3 will still have them, but they will be reruns of previous seasons.
gg
Imho D3 was never good and somehow it got even worse after RoS.D3 have too many questionable mechanics for ARPG to be good:borrowed powersscaling( but tbh it doesn't feel that bad as in D4 cuz you'll get your 70 lvl in 2 mins)CooldownsDifferent loot 2.0 featuresloot pinata and etc. etc.D3 is more Arcade with it's call of duty rifts than actual ARPG.for some reasons Blizzard decided to leave all the core mechanics of d3 in d4 and added the pseudo ideology of d2. But with all these arcade mechanics, d2 ideology does not work, and it turned out to be a very bad arcade and at the same time a terrible arpg.despite the super low online in d3, the game still had its place for 10-15 hour arcade once a year. What place d4 will have is still unclear and most likely it will be an even bigger failure than d3. Why they decided to follow in the footsteps of d3, and not the previous games of the series, is unclear, but it seems to me that this will not lead to anything good.
