I have killed at least 40 of these various southsea dudes and only have 3 cheeses... ugh! I need 20.... the Swashbucklers are your best bet but its still only a 10% drop rate.... all of this for a 3k EXP cooking quest!

Carmen Ibanozzle sells this, the innkeeper at Bootlegger Outpost, on the north edge of the Gaping Chasm. About 55, 65, or thereabouts - I don't have the coordinate thingy.

Fine Aged Cheddar can now be bought from a female gnome vendor named Carmen Ibanozzle.

She is located at the Bootlegger Outpost in Tanaris.

Coords are:

For those without coords:

The Bootlegger Outpost is located in southern Tanaris. Due South, and just slightly East, of Gadgetzan.
And almost exactly at the middle of the northern border of The Gaping Chasm.

You can find this spot easily on the map.

The only one piece of this cheese dropped for me from a normal enemy in the scarlet bastion of stratholme, in tanaris I didn't get a single drop out of over 30 creatures killed, so I decided to buy it from the innkeeper at bootlegger outpost.

If you're looking for this in Tanaris post Cata, Carmen Ibanozzle sells it at the Bootlegger outpost under the tent just beside the flight master at the Gaping Chasm.

When you interact with the Recipe Rat in one of the Zskera Vault rooms in post-storm Forbidden Reach (10.0.7) , the Recipe Rat will go into your bags. It will only stay there for further negotiations when you have enough Fine Aged Cheddar in your bags (5min cooldown, you'll have to repeat that until you've collected 30x Torn Recipe Scrap).
Be aware, your Cheddar will disappear over time! As long as you have the rat in your pockets, it will remove 1x piece every ~175 seconds. With 30x Torn Recipe Scrap you can use Combine Recipe Scraps to get the Ratcipe: Deviously Deviled Eggs recipe for cooking Deviously Deviled Eggs.

I would suggest either bringing 20 pieces of cheese with you or logging out and have an alt buy them and mail them to you. Keep in mind that the recipe rat has a FIVE minute cooldown between each negotiation, and you will have to negotiate 6-7 times to get all the recipe scraps to exchange them for the recipe. I fished in the Disgusting vat room to while away the time for extra rewards, (after exploring each vault for missed treasures). The recipe rat disappears from your bags after you successfully negotiate the recipe. Returning to the skeleton-picked clean room where the rat first appears reveals the recipe rat has disappeared, so you cannot repeat the farming of this recipe on the same character multiple times.

This can be purchased from Miwana in the Valley of Wisdom in Orgrimmar or from Ben Trias in the Trade District of Stormwind.

Gotta keep the rat happy.
