Look for Royal Ripple's. Azj-Kahet is where I found mine and the zone has a lot of fishingspots if you follow the rivers.

Had 7 minutes left on buff when I finally came across a Royal pool in Azj-Kahet at around 43, 23. Good Luck!

I've only found 2 of these pools and both were in hollowfall between the hours of 00:00-06:00 and beledar was in it's void state

do not overstack! tooltip said "can extend this buff up to 10 min" but you can only up to 5

I didn't manage to catch any of the queenfish until my fishing skill was above 60. So if you're catching these for the derby to get the Queenfish, make sure you hang onto them until you hit 60.

I was farming Kahetti Slum Shark's in Hallowfall as it's a high-ticket item at the moment, and was sick of constantly getting Cursed Ghoulfish. Sometimes, Blood is in the Water would just yield four Ghoulfish and nothing else.

I noticed the Regal Dottyback has in its tooltip "Protecting the waters around you from Corrupted Ghoulfish". I assumed this was a typo by the developers given that there is no such item called 'Corrupted Ghoulfish' (the name is too similar with 'Cursed Ghoulfish', I think anyone would come to this conclusion); but to my dismay the buff from the Regal Dottyback does not prevent catching Cursed Ghoulfish (it would make a Kahetti Slum Shark farm would actually be very lucrative at this current moment).

I conclude my comment with a question: does anyone actually know what the Regal Dottyback tooltip referencing the Corrupted Ghoulfish is actually referring to; or could this genuinely be a bug and it's meant to be Cursed Ghoulfish (and prevent catching of said fish)?

You can fish these up from open water, but they're rare.

I often try to use these to avoid catching "Corrupted Ghoulfish", as the tooltip says. I assumed, like another commenter here, that this was wrong and they meant Cursed Ghoulfish. But it does not avoid catching them at all. I've had this buff and caught Cursed Ghoulfish back to back to back. Yet there is no fish can I can find that goes by the name Corrupted Ghoulfish. So I'm not sure what the problem or actual use for this fish' use is.

Just a note about these, I notice a lot of fellow fishers out there throw the regal dottyback then proceed to keep fishing from the royal ripple pools.

If your fishing skill is high enough you can use the dottyback(s) then turn to fish in open water and still get the Queen Lurefish while you have the Dottyback buff!, then go back to the pool and get more Regal Dottybacks. :)

When salvaged with 129 cooking skill (100 from profession, +29 from gear), one salvage of Regal Dottyback yields 3-6 Fresh Fillet. (~4.5 Fresh Fillet per 5 Regal Dottyback)

That seems really low for a blue quality fish, though I suppose the on-use to ward off cursed ghoulfish would warrant that blue quality... IF IT ACTUALLY WORKED! Right now, all it does is increase your chance to fish up Queen's Lurefish and that's it.

Buff can only extend up to 5 minutes for me, so throw 10.
