You can track a maximum of 16 before you get an error saying "You have already marked too many treasures in the Forbidden Reach. Collect a few before unsealing more Forbidden Reach treasure scrolls."
Definitely one of the longest string errors I've seen in a long time.

Good evening folks, I've come up with a method to somehow bypass the "consumed on use" effect on the Azure Crystal.

WARNING: The bellow advise might be seen as EXPLOIT by BLIZZARD! It might just be a clever usage of game mechanics but do use this method having in mind you can angry Blizz!

Use the scroll, go to coordinates 59, 65 (where most SCROLL-farm groups are anyway) and start killing adds WITHOUT looting the corpses. Faster kills (with a group of 5), faster drop rate.
You can use SHIFT keyboard button to sneak-peak whether scrolls have accumulated in the loot table without actually losing the buff from the Azure Crystal.

This way with one usage of the crystal you can walk away with 3-4-5 scrolls. You should loot every 5-10minutes (but not more than that).

I had 2 of this scroll (they do stack on each other). Used 1, was given a location on the map. Stayed at that first location and used the second scroll, was given a location a short distance away. Received Draconic Artifact both times.

You are limited to 5 active marks on the map at a time. This is because there are only 5 spawn points for the treasures. If you have a bunch of scrolls in your inventory you can cheese this. Simply mark your map with 5 scrolls and go to the nearest. Pick up that item and click another scroll. A new item will appear right where the one you just picked up the other because you have already marked the map with the other 4 locations and it is forced to spawn right in front of you. You're welcome.

It says This may be of interest to the Dragonscale Expedition but there was no-one to hand it in to, so I would say you can safely use it.

I've had a lot of luck finding these when I use my Azure Scrying Crystal and loot a Forbidden Hoard. I probably get 1 of these out of every 3 hoards. For me, it's been the easiest way to get these.

If you're like me and wanted the title after the fact, read below:
The fastest way I found to do this part of the Forbidden Reach Meta was clear the War Creche. The respawn timer is pretty quick and as stated above, you can wait to loot until you have a big pile of bodies for more chances at more than one scroll per buff without losing the Azure Crystal buff. I spent several hours each day flying around looting treasures and got about 20. I got the remining 30 in about 2 hours down in the creche. There is a limit for treasures accrued on the map, as stated (16), but if you clear the creche all the way thru the top, you can port out and go open the treasures and start the meat grinder again at the top.

Hopefully I can answer some people's questions regarding this item which is tied to a very intimidating achievement chain...

The best place to farm scrolls is in the depths of Froststone Vault. And whilst farming these you're going to want to grab yourself several Azure Scrying Crystal from Kraxxus for 2000 Elemental Overflow.

One thing to note about the Azure Scrying Crystal, which I realized after, is that as soon as you loot ANYTHING the buff is consumed and gone. So what you need to do is farm/ kill as many as you can in around about 10 minutes and then mass loot (At least that is what I did).
I got 68 scrolls with the use of 13 Azure Scrying Crystal which was a period of 2 hr 10 min. And 68 is just too many... I messed up.
You only need in total 50 for both X Marks the Spot and Scroll Hunter!
You can sometimes find a group of people to get these down faster on group finder, or list one up of course.

The following scrolls will aid you to your achievements:

Now once you have these scrolls, you can click the same scroll around about ~5 times and 5 red 'X' will appear on your map, then game will then not let you click another to prevent you from wasting them!
A nice quick way of using the scroll will be able to max out a certain scroll, then stay at one point, loot, click the same scroll again and the easy cycle will continue.

A different way to put the above, say you have 20 Sealed Fish Scroll, you click it 5 times, the game will not let you have more than 5 active X on your map. Go to one of the X, loot the fish, and click another Sealed Fish Scroll, the fish will be at you feet every time :)

The action of looting the item from the X contributes towards the achievement, you don't exactly need to hand them in, but you can of course!

Mysterious Writings goes to Kraxxus

I found that mobs in this area /way 43.93, 90.06
Have a high drop rate for these items:
Sealed Fish Scroll
Sealed Artifact Scroll
Sealed Knowledge Scroll
Sealed Spirit Scroll

There are roughly 20 of them, and they drop 2-3 scrolls every time I clear them (even without the Azure Scrying Crystal buff). Their spawn time is between 3-4 minutes.

This is part of Scroll Hunter achievement, which is part of You Know How to Reach Me achievement, which is part of Mata Achievement A World Awoken.
