In their
Second Quarter 2022 Financial Results
report, Blizzard has confirmed that Diablo IV will release in 2023. Diablo IV will also officially support cross-play and cross-progression across PC and consoles.

As usual, the quarterly report provides details regarding the current and future development of Blizzard's franchises, stating that Diablo IV is still slated for a 2023 release:
Diablo IV, the next-generation installment in the genre-defining series, is planned for launch on PC and console in 2023. The title will support cross-play and cross-progression across platforms, and is designed to be the foundation for an engaging live service, providing ongoing storytelling and new content for many years to come.
The report goes in line with statements made earlier in the year during
Microsoft's Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase
. Back in June, Microsoft mentioned that all showcased games are "targeted to launch in the next 12 months". Earlier today,
we reported about an upcoming book release called "Diablo: Book of Lorath"
which is planned to be published on April 18 and could serve as the "pre-release" Diablo lore compendium for Diablo IV.
