The Orc Heritage Armor questline revolves around recreating the ancient Draenor tradition of Kosh'harg for Azeroth. During this festival, all the orcish clans put aside any rivalries to meet in peace for a grand celebration and feast. This questline features notable orcs from all over World of Warcraft's history, many of which have something unique to say!
During the feast, Orcs are grouped up at different tables. One table seems to have been set aside specifically for Barrens quest-givers, with Sergra, Thork, Mankrik, and Mahka eating together.
Mankrik and Mahka
Mankrik is a famous quest-giver from Classic
World of Warcraft
, where he would ask players for signs of his wife, Olgra, who he last saw during a fight against the quilboar. There were no quest markers in those days, and the Barrens was such a large zone, players struggled - as a result, the question "Where's Mankrik's wife?", asked commonly on Barrens chat, became something of a meme. Olga died in battle, meaning players who did manage to complete the quest had to bring the sad news back to Mankrik.
During Cataclysm, players once again encountered Mankrik. Devastated by his wife's death, he had been seeking revenge on the quilboar ever since, but no matter how much blood he shed, it could not give him peace. His friend Mahka became worried about him, and finally confronted him, telling him that even if he didn't care for his own life, there were others who did. The questline hinted that there could be a future for Mankrik and Mahka, but left it at that.
With the introduction of Patch 10.0.5's Trading Post, it was made clear that Mankrik was finally ready to move on, as he can be witnessed
buying a gift for Mahka
. Now, in the Orc Heritage Armor questline, they can be seen attending the Kosh'harg together, and Mankrik particularly finally does seem to be at peace.
Being here among friends, a real community gathering, with Mahka at my side...
This feels good. For a long time, I didn't know if I would ever feel good again.

Thank you for the part you played in bringing the orcs together like this.
