.
New Quests and Zones
More quests and zones open up in the 31-40 range, and you can check out our
31-40 Quest Filter
to see what's new.
Many of these quests are from Arathi Highlands, Badlands, Dustwallow Marsh, Feralas, Searing Gorge, Stranglethorn Vale, Tanaris, and The Hinterlands.
Note that some of these pages are incomplete, as we require players that complete the quests and upload them via the
Wowhead Client
to generate data like maps, quest chains, and drop data.
With the level cap increased, you may find it easier as well to complete some Class Quests that had a minimum level of 30, such as the
Mage Wands
and
Warrior Whirlwind Weapons
.

Riding
Starting at level 40, players are able to learn how to ride mounts. Mounts increase your movement speed by a certain amount and are used for traveling around most zones. Mounting takes 3 seconds and you cannot mount up in combat.
Each race has their own Riding skill:
Humans:
Horse Riding
Dwarves:
Ram Riding
Night Elves:
Tiger Riding
Gnomes:
Mechanostrider Piloting
Orcs:
Wolf Riding
Undead:
Undead Horsemanship
Tauren:
Kodo Riding
Trolls:
Raptor Riding
After learning a riding skill, you're able to buy mounts from that specific race (Humans can buy Horses, Orcs can buy Wolves, etc). The level 40 mounts are cheap next to the level 60 epic mounts, but move slower.
If you are interested in purchasing a mount from a different Race within your faction, you are able to! However, you need to first reach Exalted reputation with that race's faction before the vendor shows you the option to purchase mounts. Mounts are also BoE, which means people with higher reputations or above PvP Rank are able to purchase them at a reduced price and send them to other players.
Additionally, you're able to move slightly faster while mounted when you equip a
Carrot on a Stick
. This Trinket is a quest reward from the Zul'Farrak quest
Gahz'rilla
, which can be picked up at level 40.
Artisan Professions
At level 35, you can train Artisan rank in non-gathering professions and level them up to 300. This allows you to learn and craft even more recipes.

Specializations
Once you reach level 200 in Blacksmithing and are at least level 40, you’ll be able to specialize in Armorsmithing or a Weaponsmithing. These quests lead to rewards like
Plans: Blazing Rapier
or
Signet of Expertise
. Learn more in the
Specialization section in the Blacksmithing Guide
.
Once you reach skill level 225 and are at least level 40, you'll be eligible to choose a Leatherworking specialty.
Elemental Leatherworking
is generally considered best for Leather Agility users and has a lot of resistance gear.
Dragonscale Leatherworking
is best for Mail users.
Tribal Leatherworking is considered good for Agility Intellect users, but also has resistance gear and the powerful
Devilsaur Armor
set for melee DPS.
Arathi Basin
Arathi Basin is not coming until Phase 4, but it will open for testing on the Classic Beta. Learn more about PvP and the Honorable Kill system in our

Battleground Type
: Control Points
Arathi Basin is a battleground located in
Arathi Highlands
. This battleground is based on the conflict of the supply forces for both factions in central Eastern Kingdoms - Arathi Highlands is a critical zone for both the Alliance and the Horde. Both factions battle over the natural resources of the basin to claim said resources for their faction.
Following most Control Points battlegrounds, there are five bases with flags scattered around the battleground: Stables, Mines, Blacksmith, Lumber Mill and Farm, and teams have to battle it out for control of all bases. To capture a base, you will need to complete a 10-second channel time on its flag, without interruption, and then hold the base for a full minute without the enemy capturing the flag back. Successfully capturing a base will start generating resources for your team, and the more bases are captured, the quicker the resources will pile up. A faction wins once they gather 2,000 resources.
