The Dragonflight Healer Divide - AutomaticJak Discusses Healer Issues Affecting Raid & Mythic+ Differently

This week veteran healer and Wowhead Class Guide Writer, AutomaticJak, addresses some of the issues impacting healers in Dragonflight Season 2. Spike damage has permeated throughout both Mythic+ and Raid but have lead to some confusing conversations about whether healers are too strong or too weak in the current meta.
In Raid, overhealing runs rampant to the point where players never really drop low for very long leading to a yo-yo style of healing. While health pools are similar to those in Battle for Azeroth, the amount of healing players are putting out comparatively is significantly greater. Healers are stepping on each others toes leading to many raiders suggesting healers are too strong.
In Mythic+, that same spike damage profile pervades in order to continue to challenge healers in dungeon content. However, without any additional health buffer healers are struggling to spot heal allies before the next mechanic leading some players to suggest healers are too weak.
These opposing viewpoints have lead to some confusing conversations about how to fix healing in Dragonflight and whether it's even possible with the balance of each content type so inherently linked.
What do you think about the state of the Healing in Dragonflight? Does healing in Mythic+ and Raiding need to be balanced separately? Do you think Blizzard can address these issues in Patch 10.2's Season 3 or will healers have to wait for the next expansion?
