DPS Raid Rankings Updates
Based on the first week of the raid, and
December 21st class tuning
, we've made the following adjustments:
Affliction from B to C - Destro has proven instead to be the alternative to Demo on the fights where Demo doesn't work super well. No fights really highlight the Affliction niche.
Survival from C to D - Basically nobody's playing this spec in Mythic content - its damage is lackluster, its defenses are lackluster, its utility is lackluster, and it has no raid buff.
Unholy from B to C - Even with buffs incoming, it's hard to imagine using this spec over Frost on any encounter. Small chance we're wrong about this for Raszageth, will check back in next week!
Assassination from B to A - Both Assassination and Outlaw have done great work this tier on several bosses, it's not reasonable to have them in different tiers. Depending on the fight, top guilds are running 2-3 of either spec, or even sometimes a split between the two.
Fury from A to B - We overreacted on December 15th based on early Heroic, turns out that while Fury is good on several fights, it's not a spec worth stacking beyond one or two, partially because Rallying Cry is already covered by one or both of your tanks!
We've left the non-arcane mage specs in B, these should have been in C last week but with the buffs we think B is a good place for them.

DPS M+ Rankings Updates
With the changes being applied on the reset of December 21st and more information available for many classes the tier list has been shifted slightly.
Marksmanship and Beast Mastery Hunter swapping positions between C and D as Marksmanship seems more viable for Hunters in dungeons Marksmanship still has significantly defined survivability weaknesses, but their damage helps compensate for it.
Balance Druid promoted from C to B as the damage seems more competitive now over beta after bug fixes to AOE.
Affliction Warlock demoted to C tier as their Single Target seems too problematic and their niche upsides feel too niche.
Destruction Warlock promoted to B tier as new Destruction builds seem more promising damage wise.
Arcane Mage promoted to A due to solid showcases over the first reset.
