Talking to Roldira in the Crafters Enclave In Dornogal at /way 55.32, 55.76 they will give you a small quest, which gives you 350 Artisans Acuity and other crafting items depending on what you choose.

Currently, the only way to obtain Artisan's Acuity apart from the free 350 you get from the quest is to first craft NON-trainer recipes. That means the crafts have to come from recipes, discoveries and crafts you can unlock in the Specializations tab, which makes it very costly. You get 5 Artisan's Acuity for each first time non-trainer craft.

For the gathering professions, when you gather from a node you have a chance to loot a Deepgrove Petal or a Slab of Slate which will grant you a knowledge point and 5 Artisan Acuity.

As of first reset, you can acquire more through patron orders in your crafting order table. So far it seems to be limited to 12 patron orders per week (not all give you acuity though). Also not sure how to get more as gatherer besides new knowledge.

As of go-live, the sources of Accuity are, for non-gathering professions:

A one-off quest starting in the East of Dornegal, in the room behind the Craft Order submission table
First Craft of each recipe (except for the trainer ones)
Daily-changing Patron Orders from your Crafting table, many of which you will not initially be able to do as you've yet to unlock the recipe (Renown, random drop - looks at Engineering, or skill/knowledge points)

For gatherers, 5 (?) per random drop from gathering of the items that give you Knowledge Points.

It is used to pay for the Notes to gain extra Knowledge Points from each of the Renown Quartermasters (inc. Artisan's Consortium), on reaching the appropriate level of Renown, and for buying certain recipes (see "Currency For" tab).

So limited yet crafts asking for 300... I won't be getting the 'rare' fishing rod anytime soon :(

Check your crafting order table. This XPac now sends "Patron" orders for us to fill, the rewards from which contain Artisan's Acuity, among other things.

Please Blizzard, make a vendor that trades like 10 artisans mettle for 1 artiisans aquity.... my toons have over 70.000 artisan's mettle unused.
