Deep Freeze


Deep Freeze Ultimate Frost Cooldown: 60 seconds Lucky Hit Chance: 2% Encase yourself in ice, becoming Immune for 4 seconds, continually dealing 25% damage, and Chilling enemies for 14%. When Deep Freeze expires, it deals an additional 100% damage. Casting Deep Freeze again ends the effect early. Cold Damage Sorcerer

Prime Deep Freeze When Deep Freeze ends, gain 10% of your Maximum Life (0.1) as a Barrier for 6 seconds for each enemy you Froze while it was active. Sorcerer

Supreme Deep Freeze When Deep Freeze ends, surrounding enemies are made Vulnerable for 5 seconds and your Non-Ultimate Cooldowns are instantly reset. Sorcerer

Someone please explain why and when can this spell sometimes deal 1000x damage! I'm lvl 60 Ice Shard build, I often use Deep Freeze to reset skills or for escape situations, and rarely for damage. It ticks for 600-800 dmg most of the time, but sometimes it ticks for 6000-8000 and crits for 10000 or more. It does not matter if I have every "buff" on, like "barrier + dmg%", "burning target dmg%", "immobilized target dmg%", "frozen dmg%", "chilled dmg%", "vulnerable dmg%", fresh spawned mobs can receive this higher damage.

Somebody mentioned that it could be caused by Overpower which could make sense and the cast of the spell has to be Overpowered, but the damage colors are the same as always and I am really confused about this spell. It would be nice to know what to do and how, to utilize this high damage proc.

My tooltip mentions 800-1000 dmg continually and 3400-4000 dmg at the end but there are dmg reductions of course.
