Players have discovered multiple Diablo 4 post-credits scenes! On both
Reddit
and
Youtube
, reports have made the rounds that showed short post-credits scenes after playing through the campaign.
The short post-credit scenes are only a few seconds long, giving a glimpse of Diablo 4's potential future storyline - and not only that: There are multiple scenes available in the game files! A total of four scenes have been discovered:
WARNING: Diablo 4 story spoilers ahead!

Diablo 4 Post-Credits Scene 2
Diablo 4 Post-Credits Scene 3
Diablo 4 Post-Credits Scene 4
The first three, almost "jump-scary" cinematics, most certainly show Mephisto, the Lord of Hatred, in all his undead and lich-like glory. He played a leading role in the story of Diablo 4 so far, so seeing him in these short trailers shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.
The fourth scene, however, shows a very different-looking creature. Drenched in hellish red and with much less curved horns compared to Mephisto, a much more human-looking face stares into our souls - but who could it be?
The leading theory of this particular image hints towards Lucion, Mephisto's son and Lilith's brother. We have just recently heard about Lucion in
the first part of the Book of Lorath series
, and the following quote from the Book of Tyrael shows that the Horadrim know quite a bit about this particular Prime Evil descendant:

Diablo III: Book of Tyrael
Lucion is the ill-begotten son of Mephisto. Unlike his sister, Lilith, he served his father without question (or, at least, appeared to do so). At the behest of the Prime Evils, Lucion came to the world of Sanctuary and forged the Triune, a seemingly benevolent cult that, in reality, aimed to turn the hearts of mankind to darkness. Mephisto's son then took on the role of the cult's spiritual leader, calling himself the Primus.
It should be noted that Lucion assumed a mortal guise for this task. Indeed, the Books of Kalan describe him as a charismatic and wise man with a voice so soothing it bordered on the hypnotic. Only later, when the nephalem Uldyssian ul-Diomed and his followers assaulted the Triune, did Lucion reveal his true demonic form. Yet even the demon's immense powers could not withstand the might of the nephalem army.
Are we going to see Mephisto's son make his way to Sanctuary yet again in future Diablo 4 updates? Or could this be a first look at Mephisto who used Neyrelle as a vessel? Give us your wildest theories in the comments!
