The amount of loot dropping will be reduced, but overall loot quality will be higher. The goal is for players to use crafting to customize their gear further.

Smaller affix pool - many unused affixes have been removed from the game.

More relevant and potent affixes, such as Core Skill Ranks and existing affix values will be adjusted so they can be felt.

Legendary or Unique items will now be tradeable. Modifying an item, e.g. through Enchanting, will make it account-bound and thus no longer tradeable.

Only Sacred items will drop in World Tier 3.

Only Ancestral items will drop in World Tier 4.

Legendary items will now have 3 affixes, down from 4.

Rare items will now have 2 affixes, down from 4.

Additional Itemization Updates

Legendary items dropped from monsters level 95+ will always have 925 item power.

Gems have been simplified and made stronger.

Gold costs to reroll items at the Occultist now have a cap.

Some crafting materials have been removed and consolidated.

Forgotten Souls will now also drop from Whispers and rarely from Elites.

Many Unique items can now drop in World Tier 1 and 2. All Unique items can now drop in World Tier 3.

Uber Unique items start dropping from monsters level 55.

Codex of Power Updates

All Legendary Aspects can now be found in the Codex of Power.

Salvaging a Legendary item at the Blacksmith will upgrade the Aspect's values within the Codex of Power. These can be upgraded up to 16 times to reach their maximum potential.

Legendary Aspects with maxed-out values will now only drop in World Tier 4.

New System: Greater Affixes

Affixes now have a chance to appear as Greater Affixes on an item which are 1.5x more powerful than regular affixes.

Greater Affixes can only appear on Ancestral Legendary or Unique items.

Greater Affixes can be rolled off through Enchanting. However, they cannot be crafted onto an item and are thus only found through drops.

New Crafting System: Tempering

Tempering is a new crafting system that will allow players to add new affixes to their gear.

Tempering Manuals will add one of their 4 affixes to an item (at random). These drop from most content in the game.

Ancestral items can have up to 2 Tempered affixes (from different categories) applied to them.

Items will have a limited Tempering Durability that will determine how many times a Temper can be rerolled.

New Crafting System: Masterworking

Masterworking is a new late game item upgrading system that will include 12 ranks.

Masterworking improves the values of your current affixes. Most ranks slightly increase the value of all affixes. Every 4 ranks, a single affix is significantly upgraded.

They have checked out Last Epoch's crafting system and decided to copy it. This company, manComment by AovaThey're copying mechanics from LE, but I'm not seeing any indication that the noxious monetization is being addressed.

They can mimic all the latest trends and repeatedly tweak the grindy randomization variables season after season, but as long as they keep all the cool rewards locked in a ridiculous store rather than being a reasonably priced part of the game, then I'll keep spending my time and money elsewhere.
