And now people will just ALT+F4 or whatever to prevent death.I don't play hardcore and don't give a hot damn about it, but doesn't that go against the nature of it ?If you ask me, playing hardcore on a online-only game with such things as connection issues (local or server) is dumb but if some ppl like it ...
Mioko is 100% wrong here. I am Hardcore player from all the way from old D2 classic days and let me say this is very needed feature.First, this is not competitive game and that is a good thing. If someone starts to disconnect himself in situations where death can occur in 0.1 second then it is not as big as someone losing all progress due server crash or computer crash.Second why on earth people would disconnect when there already is a scroll of escape which allows you to escape death situations with one key press.Thirdly I fully hope that features that limits crash deths and deaths because of disconnection will add player base to hardcore and that is just the best thing ever. After I tried out hardcore mode back in the days, I never could come back to softcore gaming as hardcore add so much more to these type of games.
Hardcore players are a different breed - they sign up for a system they hate, cry when the inevitable happens, and then go again. Absolutely wild.
explain to me why hardcore mode matters if you can cheat ?
They announced this in 2019 4 years before release. It was in at least 4 different video interviews. So they lie...and now they're trying to add it for Season 2.
season 2 is a long time to wait
Pressing Alt+F4 should put the player in the "softcore" base :D
