Fishing is such a fun profession in WoW Classic, we've made three guides to the content! As more people are leveling up and thinking about raid consumables, we thought it was a good time to highlight these guides.
Fishing is one of three secondary professions in Classic, alone with
Secourisme
and
Cuisine
. Being a secondary profession means that it can be learnt in addition to two primary professions, which include professions such as
Herboristerie
and
Alchimie
. Just like other professions, the maximum Fishing skill is 300.
Fishing is, as you likely can guess, a profession where you use a Fishing Rod to cast out your line, and catch Fish. Fish can be caught in bodies of water, such as lakes, rivers and oceans. There are many different kinds of fish, with higher level zones yielding better fish. Fish can often be eaten raw to regain health, used in
Cuisine
to create food, or feed to
Hunter pets
.
Fishing is a profitable side venture all characters can engage in. Not only is it great for Cooking, but several fish are also required for Alchemy. Fish are good for leveling your skills, but many of the higher-end fish are in great demand as stat food for soloing, dungeons, and raids.
