Height Comparison of Faction Leaders in World of Warcraft

Players have been interested in the
size of the Jailer
recently, so we compared the sizes of all the faction leader models in
World of Warcraft
.
We created this image through new technology added to the
Wowhead Studio App
, a program we developed and show off on our
Shadowlands
datamining streams at
twitch.tv/wowhead
! With this feature, we'll be able to easily compare the sizes of any other models added to
WoW
.
We calculated the heights using the
measurements provided in an official WoW Engineering blog
, which stated that WoW uses yards as game units, meaning one unit in
World of Warcraft
is exactly 3 feet.
Without further ado, let's look at the results! Click on the image to enlarge it.
Greymane is the tallest faction leader at 10.72 feet while Mekkatorque is the shortest at 4.21 feet. And Sylvanas, for all of her unique powers from her alignment with the Jailer, is only 7.13 feet tall, putting her solidly in the middle of the pack, below Khadgar and Turalyon and just ahead of Tyrande and Alleria.
Of course, all of these faction leaders are dwarfed in size by various boss models, as Stevan demonstrated using the tool:

Disclaimers: Blizzard can change the size of the in-game models in special situations like cutscenes or server-side locations, and the in-game model heights may differ from lore descriptions of character heights. And most faction leaders are scaled to 1.2 size at their base location, but it's possible--albeit rare--for some to have different scales like 1.18 or 2.3. Finally, these models are taken using Shadowlands alpha data, which is subject to change before the game's launch.
