Barrage Rogue Build Season 6
If you are looking for the Diablo 4 equivalent of the iconic Multishot builds from prior Diablo installments and other ARPGs, then the Barrage Rogue may be just what you're looking for. This build fights at a distance, suitable to any situation: fighting from afar to hit as many enemies as possible with or moving in close to shotgun Bosses and Elites for maximum damage. acts as a vehicle to trigger explosions through Lucky Hit procs, which are this build's main damage source.
Barrage Rogue is great for all kinds of endgame activities. It performs well at speed farming content such as Helltides and Infernal Hordes, but also excels at pushing in The Pit.
Patch 2.0.5 Changes for Barrage Rogue
The Barrage Rogue got some sizeable buffs with the Mid-Season Patch 2.0.5, the most notable being the buffs to the Key Passive , the build's main damage source. Here is an overview of the changes that affect the Barrage Rogue:
's Cooldown was reduced from 13 to 10 seconds.
's damage was increased from 3/6/9% to 6/12/18%.
The damage of was increased from 6/12/18% to 8/16/24%.
's explosions now happen much more frequently and the Vulnerable Damage Bonus was increased from 120% to 150%.
These buffs don't require any major changes. However, we recommend to move 2 points from into to take advantage of the buff that it received. We have updated the guide to reflect this change.

Barrage Rogue is a fairly balanced class in terms of strengths and weaknesses. Its strengths are the great AoE and single target damage, a mechanically satisfying playstyle, good mobility, and lots of crowd control to keep enemies at bay. It lacks survivability compared to other classes and requires good positioning to maximize its damage output.
Best Barrage Rogue Skills and Rotation
This Barrage Rogue build employs a simple paradigm: use with to trigger explosions and annihilate your opponents.
is used as an opener to benefit from and to spawn 's Shade Totem to deal additional damage to surrounding enemies. can be used to increase your damage against Elites and Bosses. is used to trigger , grant Unstoppable, provide damage reduction, and reset your other cooldowns by using the Preparation Specialization. in combination with acts as our vehicle to proc explosions and reduces 's cooldown through the use of Preparation. Use for its Unstoppable effect to get out of dangerous situations and to benefit from additional damage reduction. gives us the majority of our damage reduction, as well as Movement Speed and Critical Strike Chance. The Rune grants us shadows whenever we stand still.

Barrage Rogue Passive Skills
The most important Passives for the Barrage Rogue are explained below. Passives can provide some of the more powerful synergies and interactions that bring a build together.
Key Passive
is the primary damage source of this build. Everything is built around it—from stacking as much Vulnerable Damage as possible to increase its damage to stacking Lucky Hit Chance to make sure we get the most out of this Key Passive.
Offensive Passive Skills
For offensive Passives, we basically take all damage multipliers and Lucky Hit Chance sources that work with our build. This includes general damage multipliers such as and , as well as effects that work as synergies, e.g. Poison synergies ( and ) and Crowd Control synergies that we can take advantage of by using and its ability to apply random CC effects ( and ).
Defensive Passive Skills
Defensive Passives are a great source of damage reduction and sustain for our build. , , , and all help to improve our survivability.
Best Barrage Rogue Specialization Choices
The Barrage Rogue uses the
Preparation
Specialization. Spending resource with reduces the cooldown of . Activating enables . It also resets our other cooldowns and grants us a sizeable chunk of damage reduction.

Barrage Rogue Runewords
Runewords are a combination of two Runes socketed into a piece of gear. They consist of a condition and an effect that lets us customize our character even further.
For the Barrage Rogue, we are combining both the and Rune to gain a significant amount of damage reduction every so often after spending a certain amount of resource with .
Our other Runeword, consisting of the and Runes, allows us to take advantage of without needing to have it on our action bar. This way we also don't need to give up one of our Aspect slots for the .
Best-in-Slot Barrage Rogue Gear
This setup represents the best gear for the Barrage Rogue. Since many of these items and Aspects are based on drops, this may take time to achieve. Alternatives are provided when applicable, but making substitutions to BiS gear can have negative consequences on performance. You will want to Imprint Legendary Aspects onto other Legendary items, since Legendaries will have 3 Affixes and Rare items only have 2.

provides us with an enormous amount of Lucky Hit Chance and also enables various CC effect synergies through its Lucky Hit effect. damage also benefits from its Unique effect. Make sure that the stats on Fists of Fate have fairly high rolls before using them!

Having our arrows split into 2 arrows whenever they ricochet is great for adding even more sources that can trigger our Key Passive as well as other Lucky Hit effects such as CC coming from to activate various synergies.

This powerful damage multiplier should be active at all times thanks to the Passive granting us a Barrier whenever we spend resource.
Rogue Legendary Aspects Rogue Uniques
Best Barrage Rogue Affixes and Tempers
These are among the best Item Affixes and Tempering Affixes for the Barrage Rogue build in Season 6 endgame content.
Dexterity
is the main stat of the Rogue, which increases our damage and Dodge Chance.
Lucky Hit Chance
increases the chance of to apply a random CC effect as well as increasing our chance to trigger explosions, which are this build's main damage output.
Vulnerable Damage
feeds into 's damage multiplier, increasing its damage output significantly.
Attack Speed
allows to be shot more frequently, increasing the amount of Lucky Hit effects we can trigger.
Armor

Resistance to All Elements
ensure that we have both Armor and Resistances fully capped to increase our survivability.
The goal is to achieve a total 100%
Chance for Barrage Projectiles to Cast Twice
(Temper affix) from our gear to improve 's ability to trigger Lucky Hit effects such as . You can achieve this by Masterworking the affix on select items multiple times. Make sure to not go over 100% as there is no benefit in doing so.

Barrage Rogue Paragon
The main goal for our Paragon setup is to grab as many damage multipliers that synergize with our build as possible. When spending points early on, prioritize Glyph Sockets and Legendary nodes. Make sure that the additional bonuses of the Paragon Glyphs are active by spending enough points to meet the main stat requirement. Additional points to make it to certain Rare nodes or to further enhance a Glyph's bonus can be spent after making it to the last board's Glyph Socket and Legendary node.
On top of that, the Paragon board is a great way for us to pick up some much-needed survivability through Damage Reduction nodes, Resistances, and Armor, and to reach the cap on those stats.
Start Board -
More points can be invested into nodes that boost the Glyph after you have invested additional points to empower the Glyph. Only do this after making your way through all five boards first.
Exploit Weakness -
Eldritch Bounty -
Invest additional points into Paragon nodes that empower the Glyph to further increase 's damage after you have made it through all five boards.
