Holy Paladin Class Guide Updated for 10.1.5 Rework - New Capstones & Infusion of Light Focus

Our Holy Paladin Guide is updated for Patch 10.1.5 and a lot has changed! A substantial rework of Holy brings new talents including a new capstone as well as a renewed focus on Infusion of Light procs
Patch 10.1.5 Holy Paladin Guide
Holy Paladin has received a major rework in patch 10.1.5. The most significant changes are that
Heiliger Schock
now has 2 charges,
Lichtschimmer
now splits its healing or damage on all targets with Glimmer,
Richturteil
now grants 1 Holy Power, and
Kreuzfahrerstoß
no longer has 2 charges but can instead be made to grant 2 Holy Power with
Heilige Macht
. Those are the most significant changes to our previous rotational spells.
Additionally,
Lichtinfusion
procs can now be spend on
Richturteil
to increase the damage
Großes Richturteil
prevents.
Großes Richturteil
is a new effect with this rework that, combined with
Richturteil
granting 1 Holy Power, makes
Richturteil
a much more attractive spell to cast.
We have also received some new talents with brand new effects! Most notable are
Tagesanbruch
and
Licht der aufgehenden Sonne
.
Tagesanbruch
has a 1 minute cooldown which makes it line up with
Göttlicher Glockenschlag
. This creates a interesting, fun, and flexible combo where you can use
Tagesanbruch
to consume all your active
Lichtschimmer
, followed by a
Göttlicher Glockenschlag
to immediately spread 5 new ones. Then using
Licht der aufgehenden Sonne
you can now trigger all those new
Lichtschimmer
s multiple times. This combo will in fact be our strongest throughput cooldown both for healing but also damage if we so choose.
The entire rework is too major for me to go over in full detail in this section, but the main take away should be that; We are now looking a gameplay loop where we want to fully maximize
Heiliger Schock
and
Lichtinfusion
procs, because we are going to prioritize spending
Lichtinfusion
on
Lichtblitz
, as this will do a great amount of healing. And of course we still have Holy Power to worry about so we need to be doing this while also not wasting Holy Power.
This playstyle continues the fast-paced rotation that Holy Paladins will be used to by now. All in all, this new version of Holy Paladin is mainly a new take on the old
Lichtschimmer
focused playstyle, instead of just spamming
Kreuzfahrerstoß
, we now prioritize
Heiliger Schock
and spending our
Lichtinfusion
procs.
