Are these AH-able or are they useless (for someone that's not a blacksmith mind you)?

Badlands is the prefect place for farming Solid Stone. All of the rock elementals have a chance to drop the stone along with Mithirill veins.

Stone? STONE! STOOOOOOOOOOOOOONE!

As a rule, this will drop in huge amounts when you do not need it, and very rarely when you -do- need it.

On my server I can always find this item being charged for a truly insane amount.

I found that a good place to farm this is from Mithril Deposits in the Burning Steppes. The deposits spawn everywhere along the mountains, approximately every 60 yards. This is what I looted in one lap:

Mithril Ore: 102
Course Stone: 99
Citrine: 1
Black Vitriol: 2

It's a pretty good farm, and I'm on a high pop server!

Not overly relevant to the rocks, but there's some humor about them in this quest line:

The quest starts with a dropped Verlorene Post on the ground by a mailbox in Dalaran. Respawns approx every 2 hours.
This Verlorene Post is also BoE and a copy is mailed to you upon completion of the quest, so you can give it to a friend.

- First you'll deliver it to Madam Goya in the Underbelly Verlorene Post.
- From there you'll receive a mail from the Postmaster summoning you to the Dalaran Mailroom.
This room, accessible by the pet cemetery, is crammed with elementals, junk mail, even a Pepe overseer!

- You'll then sort 9 pieces of flying mail.
- That turns into Ein Riesenpaket: you will deliver 1362 Robuster Stein.
(this is a throwback to The Bank of Vernal in Utah, USA)
- In Eilzustellung, someone has forgotten to loot Unbesiegbars Zügel and you must return it to them.
You will have to fight with ethereals trying to ninja-loot it.
- You'll then head to the Steam Pools in Feralas and find Johnny Imba.
- He already has Invincible and demands you sell the duplicate to God Wiedelspann in Ein kleiner Nebenverdienst.
- After returning, he then asks you to visit his SparklePony's grave in Der gebührende Lohn.
- When you reach the grave, you learn that Twinkles' favorite toy was Mimirons Kopf.
- Yay for the minigame part of the questline: Die Post muss fließen:
You are asked to sort 15 letters correctly in a minute.
City and zone names will flash on the screen, and you must click on the proper mailbox for each continent.
Completing this finishes the main Postmaster questline and awards Ab die Post achievement!

- You now have access to the advanced minigame, where you must sort 30 incomplete letters in a minute.
Completing this rewards the Eilsendung achievement, the title, and Eilementar battle pet.
Katys Stanzpfeife toy is also now in your mailbox as well!

Eilementar teaches the Eilementar Battle Pet.

Abilities:
Paketlieferung Schneckenpost Zurück an den Absender
Expresslieferung Spam Hassbrief
