It will be Soon(tm), like everything else from Blizzard. I've got Mass Effect 3 and Diablo 3 to keep me busy, I don't have time to play the MoP beta anyway.

Seems like Blizzard are certainly doing a lot of tinkering right now... so i'd say (and hope) the BETA its much sooner, rather than later :D

I noticed ours were done briefly yesterday, but it isn't down right now.

Also, I don't think the MoP beta would have any impact on the current server downtime. I could be mistaken, but the beta is certainly located on separate isolated servers so I'm not sure what need they'd have to bring live servers down for anything pertaining to the beta.

Ya, that ain't gonna happen, they want content out faster, and they're gonna have way more people than ever in beta due to the annual pass, so much more people to test out bugs and get them resolved faster. Expect the beta to come out this week or next, then a two month beta period, and a mid-late june release of the game. Q3 or Q4 is simply way too long to hold people.

So beta is almost here, which means no alpha, or they secretly already had it.

And the Beta can still take a couple of months, putting it to the late Q3 early Q4...since Diablo is out soon and they aren't gonna do a double release.
