Nagrand is approximately a level 65-68 zone located in Outland. There are entrances from Terokkar and Zangarmarsh. Horde and alliance both have an outpost/quest hub here, Garadar and Telaar, respectively. Nesingwary has also set up a camp here(near the Northeast trail to Zangarmarsh) as well as the Consortium to the Northwest of Oshu'gun. You can also find a free-for-all arena(Ring of Trials) in the East.
The PvP objective of this zone is Halaa, a city located amongst the cliffs in central Nagrand. To gain control of Halaa, your faction must set up air rider posts at any of the four bridges into town(simply click on the posts/bomb wagons to do this). From this point your faction must make bomb runs against the guards in Halaa until all 15 are dead. Once the guards are dead head into town and occupy it until captured. Control of Halla provides a 5% increased damage buff as well as access to turn ins and Halaa vendors.

Alliance flypoint is in the southern part of Telaar (on top of a large steep hill similar to the one in Silithus). Base of the ramp is 54.76.

This zone is very good for those who wish to level up fast, with plenty of "kill xx mobs" -type quests.
As a bonus you get crystal powder drops, 160 of which gets you a 18-slot bag from Halaa (or other rewards when combined with PvP tokens).

I've created a file, for those that do not want to alt-tab out of Warcraft for each quest (or cant in my case, with 512 MB of RAM) to our beloved wowhead.com. :)
This is basically a compilation of information off of Wowhead and the comments of posters. The quests are generally in order, but it may have a typo, mistake, or incorrect x, y locations, etc. Its not based on reputation, but is purely a leveling/quest grinding guide that I decided to do for myself and my brother. Right now, unfortunately, it is Alliance only based (I've got no level 60 Horde characters).
Some of the references in the file are to 'soloability'. This is totally class/talent/gear based, so I would not rely on it. However, if I comment on the soloability of a target, it probably means its elite or difficult.
The Series X# quests are to be completed in order.
If a quest is listed as 'Synch', it just means to watch out for the quests above or below the one marked as such, as they can be very, very easily combined together or interact with each other.
I'm going to be posting this message/link in the comments section of the zones I have completed it for (right now its only Zangarmarsh, Terokkar, and Shattrath (Aldor/Scryers)), Nagrand, and Blade's Edge). I'd appreciate any bumps in ratings, and also any questions, corrections, or feedback can be directed to adimax@gmail.com.
Last but not least, you can use GoogleDocs to read the XLS file, if you dont have Microsoft Office. Or, just use Google to find a 'free XLS reader'.
Enjoy.(##RESPBREAK##)264##DELIM##Thulm##DELIM##Removed link.

There is a third entrance to Nagrand that is located in Shattrath City. It is at the rear of the Aldor Rise. Nagrand is a leatherworker/skinner dream. Just follow behind the folks doing the mastery quests and you can skin for days. Save up the Thick Clefthoof leather especially because when you get to 365+ leather working, you gonna need lots in order to level.

Some info about Garadar, the Mag'har (as well as the horde's) outpost in Nagrand.
It is believed that the Mag'har stronghold of Garadar, located in the sacred lands of Nagrand, is named for him. This belief is lent credence by the fact that his mate, Geyah, is the leader of the Mag'har.

Just a note: If you're level 65 and still in Terokkar or some other zone, I would really recommend going to Nagrand. In my opinion, it's the best/most beautiful zone in the game. (So far)

Nagrand is a gold mine of quests, professions, and..... kill quests. More than half of the quests are going to be just kill 30 of these or kill 50 of these. Personally, I didn't enjoy this zone to much because of all the kill quests.
There is only one flight path for each faction here.
Alliance: Telaar, which is in the south.
Horde: Garadar, which is in the north.
There is plenty of oppurtunity for Skinning here, you will want to have skinning up to at least 325 before coming in here because nearly every beast is skinnable in here. The clefthoofs will supply Heavy Clefthoof Leather, which is essential to all leatherworkers. Mining is abundant around the edge of the zone where the mountains are, and there are various herbs everywhere.
Quests are gruesome if you're not a very patient person, because all quests are pretty much kill kill and kill. And lots of it too. You shouldn't quest in this zone without rested XP.
PVP is at Halaa, one faction controls Halaa while the other faction tries to take over by using Wyvern Posts to bomb Halaa and run in and maintain control until you capture the city.
Remember, don't quest in this zone without rested XP and good luck!

Some lore comments: The history of Nagrand is best accounted in the story of Durotan, the father of Thrall. Nagrand today is a beautiful land, where nature thrives, much as it was before the orcs fell into corruption and crossed into Azeroth. Nagrand is the original homeworld of the orcs, where they once lived in a peaceful, shamanistic society. The orcs lived in harmony with nature, and formed their religion around ancestor worship. Oshu'gun ("Mountain of Spirits" in Orcish) still towers in southwestern Nagrand, and houses an ancient Naaru spirit called K'ure, which drew in the spirits of the Orcs. For many years, the orcs held the Kosh'harg festival in the shadow of Oshu'gun, so that the shaman might commune with the ancestors' spirits in the mountain.
Though the orcs lived in a society based upon elemental worship, the slaughter of the draenei at the urging of Ner'zhul led to the abandonment of the orcs by their elemental allies. Upon the arrival of Kil'jaeden and the induction of the Orcs into the Burning Legion, Nagrand, as well as all of Outland, was left to wither and die by elements turned uncaring to the orcs' concerns. The land suffered from a great famine in the aftermath of the battle at Shattrath City, and it took years for it to return to its former self. This is due in part to the elemental protectors at the Throne of the Elements and the efforts of the uncorrupted Orcs, the Mag'har.
For a comprehensive history of Nagrand, read "Rise of the Horde."

Yeah, I think it looks great, also. I left Terokkar the earliest I felt it would be appropriate to leave so I could come to Nagrand. The only problem with that was the gear...
HUNTERS READ HERE
Probably about 95% of the mail from quests in Nagrand are for Shaman.
Lo'ap's Muck Diving Pads
are the only mail shoulders for Hunters, and the
Blacksting Shoulders
from Zangarmarsh are better, in my opinion. I don't know about anyone else, but I definitely wouldn't take 18 stam over 8 AP, 3 AGI, and 5 INT. But I don't PvP, so maybe you PVPers would like those instead. I don't know. The
Murkblood Oven Mitts
are the only other piece of Hunter armor I can remember (which was nice). If you put upgraded armor over a good time, I suggest staying in Terokkar. I don't, though, so I don't regret moving along to Nagrand ; ) Also, I don't know for absolute certain if those are the only pieces of Hunter armor in Nagrand, so don't quote me. I just remember there being a noticable lack of it.
Weapons are a different story, though. The
Ceremonial Warmaul Blood-Blade
/
Mag'hari Fury Brand
(I like the dagger because I personally like faster weapons) was a great upgrade from my
Marshfang Blade Axe
, and you can get both
Zerid's Vintage Musket
and
Hemet's Elekk Gun
. You should probably make a point of coming here at least for those. Especially the Ceremonial Warmaul Blood-Blade/Mag'hari Fury Brand. Not only will you get a good weapon out of that quest line (
The Ring of Blood
), but you also get 67g 20s, 20 Heavy Netherweave Bandages, 10 Super Healing Potions, 10 Super Mana Potions, and 85,050 EXP.
In conclusion: not the best place for Hunter armor, but has some decent Hunter weapons and a very worth-while quest line.
Hope I could help.

Although it requires lures and high skill levels, Nagrand is a fantastic fishing area. I can't speak for Alliance but as Horde, sitting just off Garadar at Skysong Lake there are plenty of pools and little chance of being ganked.
Also, compared with Terokkar Forest and Zangarmarsh, there's a lower chance of catching Barbed Gill Trout which don't sell as well as the other fish caught in Nagrand. The 5/6 pools in Skysong Lake pop very frequently; I'm never forced fish for more than 5 minutes in one place so it's fun chasing pools. Fishing from the pools also mean less Gill Trout.
I'm level 49 hunter at the moment and I've easily made 300g from what I've caught in the past 4 days, mostly selling Primal Waters, Bluefish and Mudfish. Oh yeah, and Nagrand is a stunningly beautiful zone, so that's another incentive to go there and fish. ;)

There are a few hidden spots/exploration related easter eggs that I've found in Nagrand so far and wished to share with fellow explorers.
Along the northern mountain range separating Nagrand from Zangarmarsh, there is what looks like an orphanage called "Challe's Home for Little Tykes." It's located at coordinates (50,14) and is full of babies and small children being monitored by a troll woman named
Challe
. There might be more to this place than it appears to be. There are explosives in the toybox, a pile of meat in the doghouse, and several cages behind the hut, one of which has a set of humanoid bones in it.
Another interesting little flavor spot that can only be reached by a flying mount is located on one of the floating islands that hover around Nagrand. Hovering above Skysong Lake is a floating island that holds a single apple tree. At the base of the roots on one side is a crate of picked apples, and on the other side is the skeleton of (what I'm assuming is) an orc warrior with a shield by his side and an ax through his skull.
In the mountain range south of Forge Camp: Fear, there is an isolated tomb resting in a secluded spot right on the edge of the twisting nether. The tomb has a couple large chains around it, and is littered with piles of skulls. There is also a single skeleton sitting on top of the tomb with a goblet and an open book in front of it. There are no other identifying marks to discern who or what might be buried here. It should be noted that the skeleton seems to be sitting in a position similar to how draenei female characters sit.

In my opinion, Nagrnd is one of the coolest looking places on wow. Nice serenic view, and the simple sense of nature, plus the backround music really just makes this place VERY relaxing. A good amount of money and xp making, plus the PvP and PvE rewards makes this very good place to visit when reaching mid 60's.

also got my 1st char to 70 here, took me a some grinding to finally get it from 65-70
Also if you look at it at a certain way Nagrand is a little like Africa:
Consortium-Illegal merchants, Osh'gun crystals are like blood diamonds and the usual "Killing an endangered animal for it's tusks"
Kurenei and the Mag'har-2 fighting tribes
Nessigwary safari-Illegal poachers and the old "Big game hunters"
I think Blizzard is saying something here

Once you have completed all the quest lines you will be allowed a quest to end the live of an Elekk named Tusken. Probaly many skinner's Dream Quest:D.
Total amount of aniamls requiered to kil is 270 normal animals(all skinable) and four elites.

questing here is simple, kill any mob you see,you are sure to get some of them right.
also, taking halaa is quite fun since you bomb the guards while on a flyer and you are invulnerable.
Strategy for taking Halaa is making a group of 10-15 people.
5 or 6 of them should be on flyers bombing the guards while the rest defend the wyvern posts.
when there are no guards, rush in.on pve servers not much people cares about defending halaa so you should have no problem taking control after guards are down but expect fights in pvp servers.(bombs are a great way to kill people in pvp servers, they do a lot of damage)

Help! I'm persona non grata here in Nagrand. No one in Telaar will talk to me, no quests are available to me, and none of the vendors are available to me. I'm a 65 Human Rogue w/ what I think are no real reputation problems. Is this a glitch, or do I have to earn rep points with either Shattered Sun Offensive, Shattrath City/Lower City, or the Sha'tar (all of which I'm neutral with)?
I can check mail and use the flight point in Telaar, but that's it.
Is there some type of "introductory quest" that I've missed? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

For those of you who do not know, the floating islands with waterfalls are a reference to one of Blizzard's earlier games "Lost Vikings", where during the prehistoric levels, the waterfalls would float in mid-air, which was also pointed out by Olaf in one of the levels.

Capturing Halaa
Since I have not seen this written out anywhere, neither here not on Blizzard forums, I will list the conditions for capturing Halaa for your faction:
1: Kill all fifteen opposing faction guards. There will be a counter indicating 15/15, 14/15 etc. until you reach 0/15 guards killed. *
2: Keep more living flagged players within range of Halaa of
YOUR
faction than of the
OTHER
faction until the meter counter reaches your side (you have captured it). **
* The old-school method in BC was to use the wyvern stands to bombard the guards- for a level 85 it may be more practical to simply slay them PvE style, given the current health/power levels.
** Simply the presence of a living flagged player is necessary - unflagged does not count, dead does not count, respective levels do not count. Theoretically on low-pop realms, a low-to-mid 60s player could solo cap.

for Horde). Each captive is in a small building, watched by 2 Murkblood brutes. The captive does not have a quest marker so is easy to miss ; after you defeat the brutes, a quest marker will appear, the captive needs you to escort him safely. After this quest is completed, it opens another serie of quests from the main settlement (Telaar for Alliance, Garadar for Horde).

I for one cannot wait to return to my favorite zone of all time. Hoping they keep/slightly modify the original themes in the zone. What a fantastic place

Northwest from Forge Camp hate you can cleary see where the map ends and even the border of the skybox. It's a bit embarrasing, and creepy for people like me that get impressed when you fall off the world.

For Horde characters,
Kroghan's Report
will set you as Neutral with the Mag'har, in case you missed
Warchief's Command: Nagrand
. This makes it so you don't have to do the The Assassin quest line in Hellfire Peninsula.

What I beautiful zone. I just arrived, and haven't started any quests, but love how this zone looks!

The 1995 Album cover of "Sea of Light" by Uriah Heep looks a lot like Nagrand.
Maybe it's a possible pop culture reference by the WoW devs since some of them metalheads.
