Even though it's not fully datamined, this is by far (imo) the best hunter set I've seen and I've seen a few good ones, but this one is a treasure in my eyes and I'm totally going after this set. The blue one is My fav by far. :D

Editing all of what I was wrong about! Instead, I'll post a fun-fact I just discovered - the belt that appears to be a sash that hangs down the outside of each leg actually does hang down. In other words, the belt is actually long. Cool stuff!

Matching cape: 钢铁缝合斗披

If you can't manage to get some friends to farm it with you with group loot on, my recommendation is to solo Bloodmaul Slag Mines on Normal difficulty as that scales down to lvl 90-92. The cape is a potential drop from Roltall. WIth a tanking tenacity pet, it's easily soloable with a bit of gear.

Currently rocking this set on my Belf Hunter. One important thing to note is that this set is one of the few sets where bracers ARE visible. I found this out the hard way when I accidentally vendored the matching bracers only to wonder why a bright red band suddenly appeared above the gloves.

-the cons is that the hoodie looks cooler in some races than others :( like for example look at the draenei 10/10 badass hoodie and the human it's just a little hoodie/collar i hope they make it equal for all the classes next time

Interestingly, The boots of this set actually look like real boots on Pandaren instead of partial cut outs.

I'm looking for a way to somehow get this on my Gnome for RP.

Does anyone know if it's possible to loot the set items from normal oder heroic dungeon runs ? (not dungeon finder).

Maybe with a hunter in the group and then roll them?
Or do they only drop in dungeon finder and only class specific in personal loot?

Is this one of the sets where the model viewer is bugged? I can't see a difference between the sets, number 1969, 1970, and 1971.

On this set, 1969, and on 1971, most of the pieces are listed on both and yet supposed to be different colors. The Sharpeye legs, listed here, are also on the Morningscale recolor, 1970, and so should be the same color as those. However, the Morningscale legs and the Streamslither legs are distinctly different colors.

On my toon, the Morningscale shoulders look distinctly different from the Streamslither shoulders, but not on here.

Does anybody know if the green set drops in normal or heroic? I have been trying to farm the helm and matching cloak with no luck.

Anyone have a good bow to go with this set? I'm using Bal'ra's Compound Bow, but something a little more streamlined would be nice.

Greetings fellow transmogians!

If you're like me, you're confused as hell as to how to get this set in the color you want. But fear not! I have cracked the code (for Hunters at least).

The color of the gear you get is dependent on both your loot spec and your dungeon difficulty. I'm using UBRS as my main farming source, as it is 1 of 2 instances confirmed by WoWHead to have all of the drops. Your best route to getting everything quickly is farming on Normal, however you can farm on Heroic if you're so inclined. At 110, almost all of the trash is skippable by sticking to the edges of the rooms. I'm not going over boss strats because, well, I farmed them the day I hit 110 with no gear so the bosses are pretty easy.

The trickiest part is aligning your loot spec with the color you want from each boss. So here we go for NORMAL dungeon difficulty:

Orebender Gor'ashan - Drops Boots: Black = BM, Green = Marks
Kyrak - Drops Shoulders: Black = Marks, Green = BM
Commander Tharbek- Drops Gloves and Chest: Black = Marks, Green = BM
Ragewing - Drops Legs: Black = Marks, Green = BM
Warlord Zaela - Drops Belt and Helm: Black = Marks, Green = BM

TL:DR Version

If you want the Black set easy, you want to be something other than Beastmaster loot spec when farming for it. BM leads to Rockhide drops, which come in Green in Normal. Marksman drops either Lavalink or Streamslither, which come in Black in Normal. The only exception is Boots from Orebender, where all comes in Black on normal and Green on Heroic.
