Quest seems to be bugged, and is not progressing.

Quest is bugged, but if you pull the attacking mobs back to the questgiver it appears to work. I think it's kind of ironic that its right next to the world quest that punishes groups that try to zerg rush the quest mobs...

I tried everything from killing the mobs while standing in the circle to doing it up by the quest giver. Nothing seemed to work. When I joined a random world quest (in this case it was the world boss quest in Azure Span), I killed the mobs while down in the circle and it counted. There were luckily still less than 5 people in the group at the time. Hopefully this can work for others until they fix this bug.

Disabled all my addons and reloaded and the quest worked fine for me :)

There was a server DC for a few of my guildies, I was at the quest site and suddenly the mobs started spawning. Quiet update I reckon.

TL;DR - Do what works for you, but I recommend going to where the mobs spawn and kill them there, don't let them move.

I see some people suggesting pulling the mobs back to the questgiver, but that only works... if the mobs actually spawn for you. I couldn't even get the mobs to spawn predictably, let alone get progress. Sometimes no mobs would spawn, sometimes one group, sometimes both. Even when I killed both groups, I'd get no progress. The only thing that worked was to go through and past the "perimeter" area and toward the lake, near where the mobs themselves spawn, and to kill them right there without moving them. Otherwise, getting the mobs to spawn was iffy at best, and even if they did progress was never granted.

No need to disable addons, just need to kill agitators close to the NPCs.

This Quest is supposed to start two waves of combat against two Dracthyr about four seconds after the Player steps into a visible ring of light and earns the progress "Defend the Perimeter".

However, if ANY other entity is standing inside the ring of light when the Quest is initially picked up, be it another Player on the same Quest or not, in combat or out, Player or NPC, even Toys; the first wave will not trigger.

The region that becomes marked with the ring of light must be empty before any Player initially picks up the Quest, or it will not progress.

This quest cannot be currently completed. You are asked to "Defend the Perimeter". You move into the area. It says "Completed"
Then... mobs are supposed to come and attack you. They don't. No NPCs do come.

Turned off all addons. Reloaded.
Abandonned and took quest again.
Nothing happens. No NPCs do appear, so this quest cannot be completed.
Other players on the area told me they have the same problem, they gave up and hearthstoned away.

Completed the questline two times, on release and 10.2 and cutscene didnt play.

If it does not start..

Abandon the quest.
Disable ALL addons.

Start the quest and BOOM fixed.
