For those wondering about damage mitigation or synergy with 召唤闪电, this hits eight times total - three for the initial attack, and five rounds of the DoT (the turn it's cast and four additional rounds). Assuming of course that it doesn't miss, and that the target doesn't die. The DoT persists through pet swaps/deaths, and appears to have a 100% hit chance.
