This ability does, in fact just swap your pet. The advantage of this over swapping out normally, is that the opponents attack is used, and thus does not hit the swapped in pet. So it can be used to dodge a powerful attack while swapping to a stronger pet. Another "bonus" is faster/safer boosting, as casting this will still give the goblin exp, and thus avoiding having to cast an actual ability.

But it learns this at level 20, so it's a little late for boosting.

Note that using this ability causes you to dodge the opponents attacks regardless of who attacks first
