After you defeat one of them, they cast something called hardened. This freezes them in place. If you defeat them on top of one of the buttons, you can go and stand on the other button and the portcullis will open. I found this easier than trying to move them.

You will need to tank at least one Stoneskin Gargoyle on one of the pedestals. The buff after they harden claims that they can be moved but it is currently bugged and once they both harden you will need to reset the instance. However if one hardens on top of the pedestal you can simply run to the other pedestal and do not have to finish the fight. The Gargoyles will vanish and the portcullis will open.

If you don't freeze them over the buttons. Use Death Grip to move them. You only need one and you can stand on the other.

just switch to unholy and send your pet to one pedestal while you stay on the other
