He is in the cave, but it will be hard to miss.

This is "save the bear" event.
Fight several waves of mobs.
Bear gives you 收养小可爱 quest after you protect him.
The reward is 灰喉熊崽

General info:
Rare level is scaled to your level, so it can be level 100-110. (Works everywhere except Suramar)
If your friend is 110 and you are 100 both of you can see different HP and different level, and still fight in the same phase.
Rare NPC in legion have almost instant respawn time (1-2 min max)
On first kill drops 职业大厅资源 and sometimes 勇士的荣耀
勇士的荣耀 can be buffed with 神器调查笔记

The scene this bear cub is in reminds me of the book Wolf Brother, where this happens:

"There, below a big red boulder
shaped like a sleeping auroch, lay two drowned wolves like sodden fur cloaks. Three dead
cubs floated in a puddle.
The fourth sat beside them, shivering."

Could be a reference, but since it's a fairly unknown book, I doubt it.

The cub falls asleep next to you if you stand still long enough. It can happen in some cute situations!

It's funny how this one made me almost cry when you consider how many bear cubs I must have orphaned over the years in this game.

Save 发抖的灰喉熊崽 and you can take him with you.

Coordinates: 52.8, 87.6 - 瓦尔莎拉, Lunarwing Shallows,
Flight point: Lorlathil - 艾丽西亚·冬暮
Quest: 收养小可爱
Pet: 灰喉熊崽 --> 灰喉熊崽

if you start from "Lorlathil", follow the road to the south until you are close to the water. Then turn right and goes to the "Lunarwing Shallows" to the last corner, you will see a cave. Inside the cave you will find a dead 灰喉巨熊 and two 灰喉熊崽. A little 发抖的灰喉熊崽 is alone and want to come with you. Talk to him and save him from the attack of 恶毒之灵 and 穿刺者吉尼奇. After fighting you can complete the quest 收养小可爱 and take him with you.

This little guy has had a rough start at life, be sure to take good care of him.
