I'm currently AoE levelling a mage, so I'm stopping by all my spots to comment on their viability for AoE grinding.

The various nightbane are great for AoE levelling. All but the casters have a huge aggro radius, and all of the camps contain nothing but melee mobs, there are some scattered casters around the middle of where I farmed (Details to come), but they're usually not a problem.

There are two caves in the southern end of the zone, which was where I was alternating between. My pulls went roughly like this:

Two pulls outside the first cave (The larger one with the named patrolling inside), which had mostly Dark Runners, I pulled the two little camps in one pull then got all the loose mobs in the next pull.

The next pull was in the farm area, there's a group of 4 dark runners right in the middle, I'd usually pull a mob or two from the side, then run into the pack of 4, then counterspell another into the pack if there was one available.

Next pull, continuing in the same direction was more dark runners, about 6 in the camp, just at the edge of the farm, usually pulled one extra mob on the side. There's a little hill just behind these guys that can make LoS difficult, but there's lots of ways around it if you're prepared.

The last area is if you hug the mountain range to the left (Moving in the same direction as tha last two pulls) You will go around a corner to another camp. This was the really fun camp. You could get 15 or more mobs at once here, you have to be a little higher than for the dark runners, but it's a huge pull, limited only by your stamina. However, if you fail a pull here, it's best to grind somewhere else for a minute or two until the mob's tainted howl wears off, or else your will get poisoned by every mob that you were in combat with before. I learned this the hard way, 10+ poison stacks is nasty.

Few little quirks that take some getting use to, otherwise great AoE grinding area.

Odd. It seems that Torment is not resisted by them even though it is a shadow spell.

i'm currently standing at a hidden nightbane encampment, including cave, at 63, 80. this respawn timer is either buggy or downright insane, because as a L68 hunter i physically cannot kill them fast enough; i've had more than one occasion where i kill a mob, and the point generates a new spawn before the mob hits the ground.

i highly doubt it's normal.. BUT! for a level 30-odd frost mage, the AoE farm potentials are off the charts.

i also posted this on the Vile Fang page, as i found both types at this spot.

I can confirm the spawn rate is really fast. I went in there with my heirloom and instance geared lvl 27 warrior (+ Fire Festival Fortitude 30 stam buff) and died from the fast spawn rate. This spot can be very dangerous for the unprepared, ungeared or sleepy combatant!

This place is sick to level in.

Since 4.0 hunters are really viable at farming and I noticed. I level'd from 30 to 33 in 40 min.

Just a heads up for everyone. These NPCs have been recently updated with the new worgen model as well as the rest of worgen in Duskwood. They also have a debuff that will turn you into a worgen yourself. Enjoy the emotes =D

So glad to know that I wasn't getting Hacked, I logged on and off like three times. Thanks to Blufuzzyhat I see that it was just part of the game *whew*

saddly, no longer skinnable, just tried today, and the skinning icon doesn't come up :(

was on my 58 Sham, with a 305 skinning at the time.

means this needs to be pulled out of the skinnable list for medium leather please.

I had problems getting the NightbaneTainted Ones for the 'Vile and Tainted' quest until I realised that if you kill the Nightbane Vile Fang first, even if you don't get to loot the kill, it lets you get the Tainted One for credit. There's also solo Tainted Ones inside the mine.

The worgen curse they put works even if u play worgen yourself. Only difference is that your armor disappear and u will get same outfit as Tainted Ones have.
