So with the ability to solo queue, does that mean that we can simply queue without a group and the raid finder will match us with a group? Or that we will be able run the raid solo? "I'm pretty sure the answer is my second question" If it's a solo run, then what loot table will be used? I'm mainly concerned about the three mounts :)

It lets you zone into the LFR version of the raid instance. Loot works the same way as it did back in Cata, you kill the boss and hope to see the drop you need or vendor everything.

Remember in Dragon Soul LFR, loot was not personal. Bosses dropped items and you rolled on it just like any group loot system.

this npc will que you up SOLO for 25 lfr, and its so hard you cannot solo it, my toon is 587 il and morchok kills me everytime, i get him to 50% and then die. also you cannot que as a group for this, and it ALWAYS puts you in the lfr alone. so dont even bother guys, blizz trolled us.

Now get stupid bags instead of loot, the bag mostly contains 25 gold, in the old days raid finder bosses gave 5 items, now nothing...

I noticed that finishing this version of the Dragon Soul LFR doesn't update the raid progression tab on your characters Battle.net page.
It's not a big deal really, it just kinda bugs the completionist in me...

For those wondering, loot does drop, but it's completely random, not even affected by loot specialisation. This should really be changed to drop 5 pieces of loot like it did when current. I don't see the point of using current LFR loot system when it will mostly be completed by soloers for transmog gear. Running the lfr version 50 times to get one transmog set is stupid.

To queue for Dragon Soul LFR:
1. You must be level 86 to solo queue.
2. Speak with Auridormi and choose the first option, "Take me to the Siege of Wyrmrest Temple." This takes you to the beginning where you will kill Morchok, Warlord Zon'ozz, Yor'sahj the Unsleeping and Hagara the Stormbinder.
3. After the first section is done, return to Auridormi and select "Fall of Deathwing." This takes you to Ultraxion, Warmaster Blackhorn, Spine of Deathwing and Madness of Deathwing.

Question: does queuing LFR mode lock you out from heroic mode? I want to get the LFR token, but I'm already doing heroic runs regularly and wouldn't like to be locked out of it...

With the addition of legacy loot in 8.0, DS LFR items now drop at a much more reasonable rate (I am getting 5 per boss). Happy transmog farming!

Storytellers are NPCs in the World of Warcraft who are able to put you in the queue to solo old raids (on LFR mode). Here's a list of these NPCs.
