Don't bother trying to bring a Mechanical for bonus damage against his Beast.
剧毒长牙
does elemental damage, so it will do Strong damage against a Mechanical, so either bring a healing mechanical, or fight this pet with a neutral type. (Flying takes less Beast damage, so
魅力闪耀者
isn't a bad choice because it can be tamed at a higher level (21-22)) Also one should consider
野生金色雏龙
for this fight because of the bonus Mechanical damage it brings with
召唤闪电
.
春水蛾
is dispatched easily by any magic dealing pet (I used
翡翠乌龟
because it has
翡翠之咬
(although it took quite a lot of punishing from Flying moves being strong against Aquatic).
诺达希尔小精灵
is the highest level capturable Magic pet that I could find to use, but I chose Emerald Turtle over it simply because I could tame one at a higher level and spend less time leveling it.

Well after much banging of my head against a brick wall, I finnally found a combo that works.
Flayer Youngling (Green) (Wanted access to a beast, and non-beast attack)
Alpine Foxling (blue) , , (Actually didn't get pulled out, but was there because of the critter)
Wild Jade Hatchling , , (Smacked around the snake while being able to live against the moth))
I think the important bit, is if you don't have fast pets, it's better to pick pets that take less damage from them, then it is to pick pets that DO more damage.

I was expecting a tough fight after falling to Grand Master Payne several times, but he ended up being the easiest master so far. I beat him on my first attempt.
My Pets:
Blue Clockwork Rocketbot (25, uncommon)... still haven't found a battle stone for this little gem.
Infinite Whelpling (25 rare)
Sprite Darter Hatchling (25 rare)
Started out against Plyth. Build a rocket, launched it, hit him with the DoT, and finished him with a Missle.
Next up was Spring. Blasted him with Toxic Smoke, and died. Switched in my Sprite Darter Hatchling (took less damage, and dealt extra damage with Moonfire and Arcane Blast)
Finished up with the Infinite Whelpling. He's not strong against any of the pets, but he's slower than all of them, so his Tail Sweep did double damage.

Attacks after death? Now, that's pretty amazing; can I get that? Killed his critter (Clatter) and got attacked by a dead bug! Battle text shows: Brittle webbing applied 117dmg to Clatter, Clatter died, (then the amazing thing;attacked by a dead bug on his back sliding around) Flank dealt 157dmg, Flank dealt 154dmg, Flank applied Beast (passive-deals 25% dmg below half health). Shenanigans!

Pro tip: Use
Anubisanth Idol
. If you don't have one, go get one. He can easily solo Clatter and Spring by himself. Use
Sandstorm
followed by
Stoneskin
, and their attacks will all do 0 damage, and then you can whittle them down with
Crush
. (Don't use
Demolish
. The high miss chance stacked with Sandstorm will put your hit chance ridiculously low). Just refresh your defenses every 4-5 turns). Get a good mechanical pet to take care of the snake.
Clockwork Gnome
worked well for me.
With this composition you can put a power-leveling pet in your 3rd slot and earn some major XP.

I got this guy the first time around (though I've noticed a lot of this depends on luck just as much as the team you've assembled) with a Level 25 Celestial Dragon (Rare quality), a Level 25 Fungal Moth (Rare Quality) and a Level 25 Kun-Lai Runt (Uncommon Quality).
The moth made easy work of Pyth with Slicing Wind and Cocoon Strike, and the Kun-Lai Runt slaughtered Clatter with Rampage and Thrash. The Celestial Dragon didn't have too much of a problem with Spring, but I did need to use Ancient Blessing twice, however that's because I try to keep my pet's health over 500 if I can, just in case the next pet is a doozy.

Turns out Reagantor was right. The

This trainer can be easily defeated with 2 pets, allowing a third pet to be leveled.
Start with your weak pet. You'll want to pull until the enemy starts with their Flying pet. Then, use
小泰蕾苟萨
and Arcane Blast the Flyer to death. The enemy will then follow up with the beast; use Surge of Power on the first turn to do massive damage to the enemy beast (you'll be affected by the do +50% damage buff dragon's get upon bringing a target low). Lil Tarecgosa will probably die during the recharge period; if not, keep fighting obviously.
When Lil Tarecgosa dies, bring out a pet with beast attacks. It needs to be able to finish off the remaining health on the enemy beast (it should be nearly dead from the +50% Surge of Power) and then kill the critter afterwards. There are quite a few good options for this; my personal preference is
焊接小猫
. This pet can use Wind-Up to easily finish off the snake (takes 2 turns). After that, a Supercharged Wind-Up or a Supercharged Claw plus a small amount of any other damage will finish off the critter.
Note that in many trainer strats, you would actually use Lil Tarecgosa to finish off the enemy beast, then use the +50% Surge of Power to finish off the Flyer. Normally that's a good strat, but this Flying pet has a chance to open with Cocoon, which will block one attack; since the Flyer is faster than Tarecgosa, it will go first. This means that the Surge of Power will miss, and the strat will fall apart. That is why you want to use Tarecgosa against the Flyer first, and Surge of Power the beast.

Attached is a strategy to 2-pet this trainer that works in 5.2. It used to be easier to 2-pet this guy back when
焊接小猫
was strong, but his nerf makes it a lot harder. Unfortunately, I haven't found a lot of variability in this strat; it only works with the 2 specific pets I listed. Luckily, they're not too hard to find.
1) Start with your low level pet. Enemy starts with his Snake. Attack once and swap to
http://www.wowhead.com/item=73903
. Spend your first turn putting out a
http://www.wowhead.com/petability=634
. Then use your Missile attack once or twice to get the Snake to 1k health or under. Use
离子炮
to finish it off.
2) The enemy brings out his Flyer and takes some damage from the Minefield. He'll probably kill your Tonk before it recovers from Ion Cannon. That's fine, you WANT this to happen; he should end up using Cocoon Strike and his hard-hitting ability on the Tonk.
3) You swap in
http://www.wowhead.com/npc=68662
. Assuming Cocoon Strike is still on cooldown, use
能量涌动
and thanks to the damage from the Minefield it should die. If Cocoon Strike is off cooldown for some reason, you have 2 options. Either wait till he does Cocoon Strike to use Surge of Power, or just take your chances and Surge, hoping he doesn't use it this turn. Either way, if the Surge of Power gets blocked by his Cocoon, you need to forfeit and try again.
4) Enemy brings in his Critter, you'll be stunned for a few turns. When you recover, Howl and then you should be able to kill the Critter in 2 bites.

Since 5.2, this trainer has been harder to 2-pet. I've found a combination to relatively repeatedly 2-pet this trainer, though it requires a fairly unique combination of pets. In the long run, it may be better to not bother since this pet doesn't give as much experience as the Pandaria trainers, but for serious pet trainers, here is a combo you can use.
1) Begin with your low level pet. Enemy starts with his snake. Attack once, then swap to your second pet.
2) Your second pet will be
暗月坦克
. You'll want Missile, Minefield, and Ion Cannon. Begin with the Minefield, then Missile the Snake until it's low enough that you can finish it off with Ion Cannon. The enemy Moth will come out and kill you. If your stun wears off, try to attack, but you'll probably die first.
Note that if you don't have the correct 2nd pet to finish this, you can attempt to Missile the Snake to death and then Ion Cannon the second pet, but there's 2 problems with this. First, it is a frequent occurrence that your Tonk will die before it can Ion Cannon. Second, even if it doesn't, there's a 50-50 chance that the second enemy will start with Cocoon Strike, wasting your Ion Cannon. Thus, RNG is not on your side for this working, and if you're relying on this I'd recommend simply not 2-petting this trainer.
3) Bring out
枭兽宝宝
with Clobber, Entangling Roots, and Moonfire. You should Entangling Roots on the first turn (even if Cocoon Strike is active, this will still work as it triggers on the next turn) and Moonfire on the second turn. This should kill the Moth thanks to the Minefield Damage.
After this, simply Clobber and Moonfire the enemy Critter to death. You take reduced damage and should win at this point.
If you don't have a Moonkin Hatchling, 2-petting is still viable, but you'll be a little reliant on your final pet, meaning you'll probably need something that's level 20+. The 2 pets I've seen work well are
克洛玛尼斯
and
http://www.wowhead.com/spell=100576
.
If using Tarecgosa, you should Arcane Blast the enemy Flyer to death, but make sure the Dragon buff is not active when you kill the Flyer (i.e. Pass for one turn if the Dragon buff comes up and the Flyer isn't dead). Surge of Power on the next turn, and you should only need to do about 600 damage to the enemy Critter to kill it.
Chrominius allows you to potentially win without your final pet, but there's much more RNG involved. Upon summoning Chrominius, immediately Surge of Power to kill the Flyer thanks to the damage from Minefield. When the stun wears off, you should Howl, Bite twice, and win. The problem with this strat is it's dependent on the RNG of the critter's multi-hit ability. it can hit 2-3 times, and you'll get hit by it twice before your final attack. If he does 2 each time, you're fine; if he does 3 each time, you lose; if he does 2 one time and 3 the other, it's extremely close, with you either barely surviving or dying. Either way, this is far too random for my tastes, but it is an option.

My team:
Level 25 Lil' XT - Zap, Repair, Tympanic Tantrum
Level 25 Celestial Dragon - Breath, Ancient Blessing, Starfall
Level 25 Emperor Crab (rare P/P) - Snap, Healing Wave, Shell Shield
Opened with Lil' XT against Pyth. I immediately did a Tympanic Tantrum and followed that up by a Repair. Lil' XT was reduced to zero HP during the last round of the repair, however his Mechanical special kicked in and he was brought back to life - the Repair finished, too, which healed him nearly to full. I used Zap and then another Tympanic Tantrum to finish off Pyth and do some damage to Obalis' bench.
I kept Lil' XT in when Spring came out. I got off another Zap before Lil' XT finally kicked the bucket. Next up, I sent Celestial Dragon in. I started with a Starfall and then Breath. I squeezed Ancient Blessing in when I could and used Starfall on cooldown. That was enough to take down Spring.
I kept Celestial Dragon in when Clatter came out. The Tympanic Tantrums and the Starfalls had reduced Clatter to about 1000 HP by this time. I didn't bother to use Starfall against Clatter. I just used Breath and Ancient Blessing when it was up. It took maybe 3-4 Breaths and Clatter was done.
-----
EDIT:
I just did this fight again with the same team. It seems I got really lucky the first time with Lil' XT coming back to life right as the Repair finished. The second time, he was killed before the Repair finished. This changed the fight dramatically. I still brought in my Celestial Dragon next against Pyth. The Celestial Dragon managed to win, but it was then down to about half health. Spring ended up defeating the Celestial Dragon and I thought the battle was lost since all I had was my Emperor Crab, which was weak against Flying. However, between Shell Shield and Healing Wave, I managed to beat Spring. My Emperor Crab then was able to eke out a win against Clatter. Luckily, Clatter cast Apocalypse right away, which allowed me to cast Healing Wave. That was the turning point.
Good luck - I hope this helps someone!

I got really lucky and was able to defeat him with a lvl 19 Anubisath Idol, 25 Rare Robo Cub, and 25 Tiny Crimson Whelpling. Skills on the line up are: Stoneskin, Demolish, Demolish (until Anubisath hits or until his health gets too low. If it is the latter, reset.), After pulling Anubisath Idol, I put Robo Cub in to defeat Pyth with Demolish, Demolish, Demolish, Repair, Claw. After Pyth is down, I switched to Crimson Whelpling to destroy Spring with Tail Sweep, Lift-Off, and an occasional Healing Flame. When Pyth is down, Crimson Whelpling was able to take down Clatter as well. Anubisath Idol gained 2541 XP and leveled to 21 after the fight was over. (Both he and Crimson Whelpling were still up after the battle.) Hope this helps!

I used level 25 rares:
Clatter - Rabid Nut Varmint 5000 - open with overtune then metal fist.
Spring - Scourged Whelpling - start out with call darkness, then plagued blood and tail whip (Spring will be ahead of you in HP pretty fast).
Pyth - Plains Monitor - claw or comeback depending on whose ahead in HP.
It was close but I've beat him twice this way.

This mean stone cat guy is a jerk. I think he's harder than he used to be, according to some very anecdotal assumptions based on what some of my guildies have mentioned.
My strategy was to ensure that you use battle pets that
匹兹
and
春水蛾
are weak against. The problem I kept running into was that I attempted to use strong types (Mechanical against Pyth, Magic against Spring) but the Epic level pet speed was absolutely eviscerating me before I could manage anything.
If you have very fast breeds/pets, maybe you can manage with strong types. If not, I recommend using a flying pet for Pyth (I used an
Effervescent Glowfly
so I could get a hit in first and
block a few attacks
- most any moth will do) and a Dragonkin for Spring (I used an
翡翠始祖龙宝宝
for
Emerald Bite
,
a heal
and an
evasion move
. If all goes well you can even get in an extra hit on each subsequent pet with the previous (your first against his second, your second against his third) making fighting
咔哒
even easier.
I personally used an Aquatic for Clatter (
Softshell Snapling
) but you can probably use a Humanoid as you are in good shape now that you aren't absolutely dominated by the first two battle pets and have likely gotten some hits in with your Dragonkin on Clatter.
Good luck and don't break your chair's armrest like I nearly did with a rage-fueled
tantrum
.

Uncommon lvl 25 Blue Clockwork Rocket Bot (Missile, Minefield, Launch Rocket)
Rare lvl 25 Lofty Libram (Arcane Blast, Arcane Explosion, Inner Vision)
Rare lvl 25 Kun-Lai Runt (Thrash, Mangle, Rampage)
Toxic Smoke (Rocket Bot) may be a better option than Minefield, not sure... Beat Obalis on first try, so can't complain :) Rocket Bot & Libram went down pretty quick, but still had about 2/3 health left on the Runt when battle was over.
**edit**
Just fought him again with same pets, using Toxic Smoke & Sticky Grenade on the Rocket Bot. Didn't make too much of a difference to the Battle. Outcome was still same. My first 2 went down pretty quick. Runt finished off battle with 2/3 health remaining .

I wonder what people are on sometimes, either that or they are good at fishy tales, that's the polite way of putting it. Spring is EASILY dispatched, what's the weather like on your planet? For a start his speed means he generally gets two licks in and they hit HARD, even if its something he's supposedly weaker at, then he goes into his cocoon job so invulnerable, usually you're also lumbered with piths poison,. anyone reckoning this is easy is on something. Beating this guy is luck, and getting a break, tried all the above combos and unless you have Anubisath, trust me get ready for hours of slog. And get real with some of the pets you are suggesting, not everybody has all these bleeding rares. I mean, Lil Tarecgosa , sure everyone has one of THEM! If youre in a little guild that's a no no. Still good luck in kicking this ones butt, he's a grand pain, and Blizz are having a laugh giving a pet such high speed stats when youre lucky to get high 300 speed never mind 500. Play fair Blizz
评论来自

And don't forget the little quirks the devs seem to like such as making your attack miss (even at supposed 100% hit rate!, even attacks "supposedly" weaker hit at 300+, whereas your weak ones are 90, in the end getting around his speed seems to be key, getting a good start then hitting first on the last ones are key, he up until now always goes with the snake first then flyer

The Team:
Level 25, Rare Quality
Core Hound Pup
Similar Pets: Any pet with
Howl
Masked Tanuki
Similar Pets: Most snakes with Tier 2 abilities
Poison Fang
,
Counterstrike
, and
Vicious Fang
Crunchy Scorpion
Similar Pets: Any pet with Scorpid, Scorpling, or Scorpion in the name.
Strategy
Pyth
Pyth will always go first, so I made sure to have my
Core Hound Pup
in the first slot.
A very straightfoward fight. Use
Howl
on cooldown for twice the damage and burn him down.
Spring
Burn with Core Hound Pup until he dies. Pull out
Masked Tanuki
. You should be slower than Spring, so use
Counterstrike
on cooldown. Poison him with
Poison Fang
, then use
Tongue Lash
during the Counterstrike cooldown or if Poison drops off.
Note:
If you are using Masked Tanuki, you will need to switch out Bite for Tongue Lash and Survival for Counterstrike. You can do this by clicking on Bite or Survival in the Pet Battle Slot (NOT the viewer at the top) and clicking on the icon of the ability you want from the dropdown menu.
Clatter
I usually only get one or two more hits with Masked Tanuki, so make sure to use Poison Fang on Clatter before your Tanuki dies. Use
Crunchy Scorpion's
Crouch
to mitigate damage on cooldown, then use
Sting
as often as necessary to keep Poison up. Burn with
Snap
for extra damage against Critters.
Good luck and have fun!

I tried a pet strategy from one of the top (most recent) posters and was completely unsuccessful (twice). So I abandoned that and picked my own team:
1. Menagerie Custodian - open with Lock On, followup with Shock & Awe, and if luck is with you, finish with a Zap or two.
2. Nodrassil Wisp - Arcane Explosion or Flash (depends on your preference) then whichever you didn't do. Then Beam. Hopefully Flash works well.
3. Twilight Spider - here's my powerhouse beast. This is my all purpose utility beast to kill things. Always open with Brittle Webbing, followup with Leech Life, during cooldown of LL, get a Poison Spit going. Rinse and repeat.
For the first battle (the one to defeat all Cata tamers) I pulled it off, but only just, with my Twilight Spider (named Shelob) being the only pet left alive.
For the daily, I pulled it off but the RNG was a bit kinder to me and both Glowy (Nordrassil Wisp) and Shelob were still alive. Glowy only barely, but that counts.

today i used my clockwork gnome, turret first then heal.
i think it was just basically LUCK he didnt use poison fang on his 2nd attack, cause the elemental damage is too much for my gnome.
then second slot i used my leveling pet, just hit laser on the moth a few times, i still had 2 turrets up..again it was luck.
3rd for the critter i took out my emerald whelp. in this fight i think the first 2 bosses are tough.

Clockwork Gnome and Emerald Whelpling work very well here.
Clockwork Gnome Lv25 rare
Emerald Whelpling Lv25 rare
Start with the Gnome, (or start with your leveling pet and remove at the end of the first turn) use Build Turret first, then Metal Fist or Repair, it's up to you. I used metal fist then repair, and died on the last round of repair. Because he's a mech, I rez'd and recieved the repair health and had over 1100 HP. I put up a second Turret and got a hit or two in on the moth, and the Turret ran it's course as I bought in my leveling pet and then the Whelpling. Start with Emerald Presence and Tranquility next, then Emerald Bite. Keep Emerald Presence up and use Tranquility as needed.

Leveler brought in on Clatter for one round. Anything 15 or lower could get crit RNG'd, so be careful.

Down on the first try with the following:
25 Lil XT (Zap/Repair/Tympanic Tantrum)
23 Celestial Dragon (Flamethrower/Ancient Blessing/Moonfire)
25 Kun-Lai Runt (Smash/Deep Freeze/Rampage)
XT Tantrumed Pyth to about half, then finished him off with a Zap or two and backed off. The Celestial took out the moth with Moonfire on cooldown, healing during cocoon turns, and the occasional Flamethrower for the DoT. Cake. After that the Runt beat the crap out of Clatter with Rampage, that took all of two turns. Surprisingly easy for a "boss" trainer.

My 2 pet team is somewhat similar to what's been posted before, but here it is:
Darkmoon Zeppelin
- Missile/Bombing Run, Decoy
Emerald Proto Whelp
- Emerald Bite/Presence/Dream
Leveling pet - can be level 1, won't take damage
Start with the Zep - Bombing Run, then Decoy, 2 Missles+Bombing Run = dead snake
Switch to Proto Whelp on moth - Emerald Presence, use Dream if you get below 50% health, otherwise use Bite until dead. Since Bite does extra damage to flyers, this will go quickly.
When roach comes out, it will cast Apocalypse. Bring in leveling pet, then switch it out for Whelp. Use Emerald Presence, use Dream if below 50%, otherwise Bite. With decent RNG (i.e., attacks missing all the time, crits, etc.), this team beats him 9/10.

I used Lil XT (Zap/Repair/Trantrum) and Celestial Dragon (Roar/Ancient Blessing/Moonfire) Didn't even need my third pet which was an Alpine Fox kit.
Obviously just used trantrum right away, and repaired, managed to kill the snake before the moth killed me with a dot ticking on me from the snake...
Used Celestial Dragon and spammed moonfire and roar. Since the moth's damage was weak it was completely doable without having to heal at all.
Last bugger came out and I just spammed Roar and Ancient Blessing when I got low. One shotted.

Ok some advice from my experience with this guy. Use dark moon zeplin or mechanical panderan dragonling against Pyth use decoy then nuke him down with bombing run/missle (or bombing run/breath if you use mechanical panderan dragonling for first fight). Either of these pets will still most likely be alive at the end of the fight. Switch to Emerald proto drake for the fight against Spring, use Emerald bite/Emerald presence/Emerald dream. I always start with Emerald Presence then start nuking with Emerald Bite and use Emerald Dream if I hit half health. Since my emerald proto drake was at close to full health at the end of the fight I continued on with him and took down the beetle Clatter, I never even got to use the third pet in my line up which was my mechanical panderan dragonling (I used darkmoon tonk on first battle against Pyth). I am pretty certain a leveling pet would fill your third slot nicely whichever way you que them up for the fight (I like to start with my lvling pet then switch to my main pet for the battle after first hit), but I know others who like to keep their lvling pet to last. Have fun and good luck ^^!

My 2 pet strategy, I don't have Emerald Whelpling so...
I did it with robo-chick
Wind Up, Overtune, Batter then Wind up again for 2nd use. This kills first pet.
I then put in my carrier pet, and because he was lvl 18, I let him do 1 hit, but this was not needed, a lower lvl pet would be fine.
Then Nexus Whelpling
Arcane storm then Mana Surge killed the flyer, then Tail Sweep to kill last pet.
Very easy with these two pets.

I just beat this guy on my first try, and did it a 2nd time for good measure. My team"
25 - Clockwork Gnome
25 - Spawn of Onyxia
25 - Tranquil Mechanical Yeti
Started with the Gnome and built two turrets while maintaining Metal Fist in between. Once the moth came up, I switched to Ony. Scorched Earth followed by Deep Breath. That brought up his third pet. I got in one more Scorched Earth before Ony died. Then came the Yeti. Ion Cannon was a 1 shot since he was under 800hp at that point.

Used:
Alpine Foxling
Pocket Reaver
Viscious Globule
Start off with Dazzling Dance, then swap to Reaver, Supercharge and Metal Fist until mechanical dies.
Then take out the rest of the Moth with Globule, I used Ooze Touch, then Expunge whenever it was up. This helped with speed and reduced damage.
Once Globule dies, switch back to Fox and kill with Bite.

Really easy way to defeat this guy (and you could almost certainly level a pet, though I am not sure where you would sub in the leveling pet yet): Use Clockwork Gnome and Chrominius.
Open with Clockwork Gnome and spam Launch Rocket. It will take 2 rockets (4 turns) and your Gnome will die but he did his duty!
Switch to Chrominius. Use Arcane Explosion 2 times then Ancient Blessing to heal. From here on, keep using Arcane Explosion and Ancient Blessing as soon as its up to keep healed. By the time Spring is dead and Clatter comes out, Clatter should be pretty low on health from Arcane Explosion and you can 1 shot him with Surge of Power.

Gilnean Raven. 1:Call Darkness. 2: Nocturnal Strike 3: Alpha Strike to burn
i chose this pet randomly after many failures, still amazes me. there is some RNG, but if all goes well its a three round fight against Pyth.
All Pyth Abilities are red against the Raven, plus an increased miss chance. so with some good RNG misses on Pyth's part Raven is excellent. if the timing is perfect you can throw the last Nocturnal Strike during Darkness on Spring.
Nexus Whelpling. 1: Arcane Storm. 2: Mana Surge. 3. Tail Sweep to burn.
again a little RNG but another three round fight each with life to spare against both Spring and Clatter.
had teh Zandalari Kneebiter in reserve but surprised myself by not needing him.

I used:
1. Rare level 25 H/B Tranquil Mechanical Yeti: Call Lightning, Ion Cannon.
2. Rare level 24 P/P Emerald Proto-whelp: Emerald Bite, Emerald Presence, Emerald Dream.
3. Rare level 25 H/H Chrominius: Howl, Bite, Surge of Power.
Tranquil Mechanical Yeti 2-shotted the 1st pet ("Pyth" the beast) with a Call Lightning and Ion Cannon. He had 785 health left.
Emerald Proto-whelp killed the 2nd pet ("Spring" the Flyer), but it took 15 rounds with a lot of healing. Emerald Proto-whelp ended with 952 health left.
Chrominius 3-shotted the 3rd pet ("Clatter" the critter) with Howl, then Bite, then Surge of Power. He ended the fight with 792 health.

- Stoneskin > Demolish until Pyth dies
vs Spring
- Demolish until your Anubisath Idol dies
- Switch to Carry pet > switch to Emerald Proto Whelp
- Emerald Presence
- From here on, cast Emerald Presence when there is 1-turn left on your buff, Emerald Dream if you have less than half of your HP, Emerald Bite as a filler

超级大冒险
I used
阿努比萨斯人偶
(1,1,1) and
暗月坦克
(1,1,2).
Pyth is first so I started with Tonk:
Shock and Awe
(didn't stun) then
Ion Cannon
, Pyth dead.
Spring next, Tonk soaked the first Moth Dust and managed one
Missile
(just kept him till he died).
Anubisath: kept
Sandstorm
up, ALWAYS avoided Moth Dust with
Deflection
and
Crush
as filler.
With the last pet, Deflection is not worth using, I just kept Sanstorm and spamed Crush.
Tbh, I think any pet with mechanical abilities is able to nicely kill Pyth, and then Anubisath is just perfect.

This one was a pain.
1)
PYTH
- used
Fjord Worg Pup
--Dazzling Dance, Howl, Bite(over until dead, would last till next battle)
2)
SPRING
- used
Crimson Whelpling
--Lift Off, Breath, Healing Flame
++Did this fight many many times. Spring used a different rotation each time. It just came down to timing with him. Crimson Whelpling ended up being the pet I decided on to use. It was much easier to time things with it.
3)
CLATTER
- used
Emerald Proto-Whelp
--Proto-Strike, Breath, Ancient-Blessing
After all the different pets I used, this came out to be the best combo. I tried many times to use the different types of Fox Kits (so many were using them in previous posts)... they would constantly die. My Fjord Worg Pup seemed to do the most damage.

Pyth - Lil XT, Tantrum, then zap until XT is dead, you can usually get a hit on Spring as well.
Spring - Lil'Tarecgosa, Arcane Storm and then Surge of Power (usually one shots Spring).
Clatter - Pygmy Direhorn, by this time Clatter has usually lost 1/3 of it's health due to Lil Tarec doing a few hits, but just Trihorn Charge on CD and Horn Attack and it will go down :)

If you're not doing the elekk plushie achievement, this is the team I used to take him down:
25 Anubisath Idol (Demolish, Stoneskin, Rupture) ((Demolish has a 50% hit chance, RNG can be a little annoying, but if you do land 2 successful hits, the snake will die)
25 Emerald Proto-Drake (Emerald Bite, Emerald Presence, Emerald Dream)
25 Lil'Bling (Smckthat.exe, Extra plating, make it rain)
I ended the fight with half health for all pets (Bling died during the beetle fight, but of course came back to life to smckthat to death). Fairly easy, very straightforward fight. You should finish with lots of time to spare before the silly bugs apocalypse hits.
Happy battling :)

Nether Faerie Dragon annihilated his team the first time I battled Obalis. I started with a Spirebound Crab which died after dropping Pyth to around 200ish. I sent in the Faerie Dragon and took 517 damage from Vicious Fang but easily finished off the snake with an Arcane Blast. Spring came in and was two shot by a buffed Moonfire (dragonkin passive effect after falling below 50%) and a single Arcane Blast. Clatter then came in and I used Life Exchange because of Clatter's large hp pool causing the spell to do about 650 whilst also healing the Faerie Dragon by 650. I then two shot Clatter with Arcane Blasts full power + Moonfire's bonus 10% magic damage increase.
Any level 25 pet that can deal a reasonable amount to take Pyth down to at least 400hp.
Level 25 Rare Nether Faerie Dragon 2/2/1.
I figured that the Vicious Fang dealt to Nether Faerie Dragon was actually a bonus because it helped increase the power of Life Exchange during the battle with Clatter.

For the achievement An Awfully Big Adventure
I used Nexus Whelpling (P/P) - 1,2,2
Emerald Proto-Whelp (P/S) - 2,2,2
Elekk Plushie - He stayed on the back line for the whole fight - this will reward you a credit so don't worry.
Start with the Nexus Whelp and use
Arcane Storm
, followed by
Mana Surge
, this should finish off Pyth.
Spring joins the fight.
Mana Surge
puts a dent into Spring before the Nexus whelp dies.
Bring out the Emerald Proto-Whelp and apply
Emerald Presence
first and then
Emerald Bite
, continue to
Emerald Bite
, and keep
Emerald Presence
up, if your health goes below 50% then use
Emerald Dream
. If not then keep biting, continue this method through to Clatter. Emerald Proto-Whelp should still have decent health by the end of the fight.
I appreciate using the Emerald Proto-Whelp seems excessively long winded (23 Rounds long) however I tried so many different types of teams and formats and found this one to be the most effective and I managed to keep most of my sanity!

For those people who are still working on this achievement, like I was.
Iron starlette worked nicely for me. Open with Toxic smoke, then 2x Wind-up, finishing the snake. Use explosion to take 1/3 or even a slight more away from the moth.
After i sacrificed my starlette i put in Nordrassil Whisp. Activate Soul ward straight away. Because the moth will use silk cocoon. Then use Flash. The use 2x Beam. Use again your ward, because there is a new silk cocoon incoming. And finish him off with a Beam.
Then you can use it to take a bit of life from the scarabee. Or switch to Alpine Foxling Kit. I switch right away, else you loose a turn by switching.
Now it is just a matter of keep Leaping. Gaining and keeping the higher speed then the opponent.
And these pets don't have much effort to gain. they are just out there in the world.
Instead of the Whisp you could also use arcane eye.
Have fun.

Keep Anubisath out until he dies basically, keeping deflection on cooldown while doing as much damage as possible to the next pet with demolish.
Bring out your plushie and use him until he dies.
Nexus Whelpling should use Arcane Storm and then Mana Surge. Flying pet will die in 2 turns (unless you crit.)
His 3rd pet you wait for Mana storm to finish, then do a tail sweep, and then another arcane storm to finish him.

I found this guy to be a real pain, my mechanical or just about any other pet I tried would not survive the first encounter against Pyth, leaving me with one pet against two or even three. I tried this combination worked quite well:
1. Blue Clockwork Rocket Bot (1,2,1)
2. Anubisath Idol (1,1,1)
3. Elekk Plushie if you're doing achievement
Pyth:
1. Minefield
2. Sticky Grenade
3. Missile (until Pyth dies)
Your Blue Clockwork Rocket Bot may die, so make sure that you get
Minefield
back up if its no longer active, otherwise stick to missile.
Spring:
Minefiled will do significant damage when it enters the battle and you will be using Anubisath Idol at that point
1. Sandstorm
2. Deflection
3. Crush
You will notice that after Spring uses Cocoon Strike it will then use Moth Dust, you'll want to use your
Deflection
right after it has used Cocoon Strike so that your Anubisath Idol can avoid Moth Dust and not fall asleep. Other than that just keep
Sandstorm
up and use
Crush
as filler.
Clatter:
Kept
Standstorm
up, used
Deflection
when not on cooldown and
Crush
as filler.

I used the following team:-
Lvl 25 rare Wild Golden Hatchling (tail sweep, call lightning, cyclone)
Lvl 25 rare Fel Flame (flame breath, scorched earth, conflagrate) x2
I started with cyclone, then call lightning. During this phase, Pyth knocks 500-600 off your Hatchling.
I swapped in my first Fel Flame and hit scorched earth, then conflagrate and flame breath. Pyth burned my Flame down pretty quickly, but was left with only about 200HP.
I swapped my Hatchling back in and finished Pyth off. At this stage, Spring has very little HP left. Spring and Hatchling should kill each other off, leaving your remaining Flame to go one-on-one with a weakened Clatter.
With this strategy, I lost my first two pets but was left with a Fel Flame that had 60-70% health remaining.
Edit: With this same combination, I was able to defeat all Pandaria Master Tamers, including Grand Master Aki - all at the first attempt.

Onyxian Whelpling (Tail Sweep, Healing Flame, Lift Off)

So I was trying this with several different pet combos, and this is what I got to work for me post 7.1.5.
>>>
This is probably not the most efficient way, nor a way to do a carry. I am not leveling any pets (carrying), just wanting to get the Taming achievement completed.
<<<
All pets are level 25, Iron Starlette and Darkshore Cub were rare, and Nexus Whelping was green.
Iron Starlette 1-2-1
Supercharge > Toxic Smoke on Pyth until he's dead. Will take 2 to 4 rounds. This pet will die from poison.
<Toxic Smoke until Iron Starlette to dies - this will waste a cocoon>
Nexus Whelping 1-2-2
Start with Mana Surge (3 rounds) > Arcane Storm > Tail Swipe until dead or one of the other spells pop.
<Switch Pets>
Darkshore Cub 1-1-1
Maul > Bite until dead. If need to Hibernate.
Thought I would post this for anyone else who may be struggling with pet combos post 7.1.5, and just wanting to complete the achievement.

I used Anubisath Idol with deflect first, then Stone Skin and then took my chance with Demolish even though it has a 50% hit chance. I missed 2 or 3 times (can't remember) but lucked out with a hit and then a crit hit and killed Plyth. I switched to Sprite Darter Hatchling for Spring and Evanescence first, then Moonfire when Spring was not cocooned and then Arcane Blast until dead. Still have life left on both Anub and Sprite, so attack Clatter until dead then bring out the pet I'm leveling (this was not done for a level 1, it was done with a lvl 22 Dusk Spiderling so it had + damage since it does Beast damage on Clatter).

**Updated for BFA**

(Pre-Legion comp strat is now out-of-date using Teroclaw Hatchling).
I run this fight daily to level pets and it is very RNG based, sometimes you will
have some odd swap outs, RNG is always different and some misses. Most of the
time the fight is about the same but it can be frustrating because unlike a lot of
pet battles with the same moves/formula every time, this can change.
Darkmoon Tonk (1,1,1)
Teroclaw Hatchling (2,2,2)
Emerald Proto-Whelp (2,2,2)
Elekk Plushie or Carry
vs Snake Pyth:
Start with your Darkmoon Tonk.
Cast 2, 3, 3. Pyth dies.
(Sometimes Pyth swaps with Spring, restart if this happens)
vs Moth Spring:
Bring in Elekk Plushie, Carry pet of 700+hp or any level Mechanical pet
Spring makes move. Switch to back to Darkmoon Tonk.
Cast 1, 2
You will get 1-3 shots in.
If no shots hit Spring, restart.
(If Spring is below 800 health, Spring switches to Clatter.)
Tonk dies
Bring in Emerald Proto-Whelp
Cast 2, Emerald Presence
Cast 1, 1, 1
Cast 2, at this point you need to re-up Emerald Presence
Cast 3 for heals
vs Beetle Clatter:
Keep Emerald Bite up and re-up Emerald Presence when it is on the last round
Use heals when at half health, too low to cast it and you will die.
Remainder of fight with this combo is about 7 casts
(1,2,1,3,2,1,1)
*You can also use other mechanical pets in first slot like Iron Starlette (1,1,1)
*Syd the Squid (1,1,1) also worked for me in battle pet slot 2 along with Hyjal Wisp (2,1,1).
*Pets with a dodge+heal

Start with Anub, use Stoneskin and spam Demolish to kill the first one. Reset if you don't kill it. Keep using Demolish til Anub dies.
When Anub dies, switch to Emerald. Start with Emerald Presence and use Emerald Dream when below 50% or when you're low enough to benefit from it while he's in cocoon (immune), otherwise just spam Bite.
When third pet shows up, switch to carry then switch back to Emerald. Do the same thing til you kill it.

, i tried twice to mix in a toxic attack and it made no difference, maybe because of RNG, maybe because newb, maybe just not possible for it to make any difference.
In any case, on the next stage, my Starlette died when I tried to get off any attacks against
春水蛾
. I swapped in the Elekk or leveling pet on the Starlette's death, then immediately swapped in the Teroclaw.
For the Teroclaw's attacks, I basically just spammed
躲闪
on cooldown, kept
自然守护
up, and
空袭
to fill in. Slow but steady, this worked to finish off both of the next two opponents,
春水蛾
and
咔哒
. I didn't particularly have a set method, the attacks against me did were not consistant (random), so I haven't developed any specific timing of attacks.
The first successful attempt, I used an Elekk for the achievements, then I swapped in a level 7
阿莎娜
for the daily -- which made it up to level 11 from the XP without any bonuses (still working through
驯服世界
for the
狩猎帽
). With this method, my swapped-in pet was never attacked, so it really doesn't seem to make a difference what you use here. You could skip straight to Teroclaw after Starlette if you want to just finish the fight or you don't need the Plushie achievement or care for the XP. Really, the Plushie doesn't even need to be in combat for the Adventure.

quick combo for leveling:
暗月飞艇
1/2/2
雪福,雪怒的幼崽
1/2/2
carry pet - any level
vs.snake:
1.
暗月飞艇
> cast Missile till snake is below 618 hp (2-3 Missiles).
2. cast Decoy > Explode. both pets will die.
3. bring in the leveler and immediately swap to
雪福,雪怒的幼崽
.
vs. moth:
1.
雪福,雪怒的幼崽
> Prowl > pass* (only if Moth is in cocoon or your pet is asleep) > Moonfire. the moth will be one-shotted.
* this step could be a bit tricky, since the Moth's hits are random and involves RNG.
the goal is to hit with Moonfire during the 2 rounds of Prowl, so after Prowl - pass one round if the Moth is in Cocoon.
normally Xu-Fu will have 300+ hp after killing the Moth, if it's not the case - restart.
vs. bug:
1.
雪福,雪怒的幼崽
> Spirit Claws X2. bug is dead.
good luck

The team I ended up using was:
Anubisath Idol set to 2/2/2 - I would use Stoneskin, then Demolish. If Demolish did enough damage, I would finish them off with Rupture or continue trying with Demolish if Rupture's damage wasn't enough.
Emerald Proto-Whelp - 2/2/2 - I never had to use the heal, but it was good to have it handy. I used Emerald Presence to start and then Emerald Bite on repeat.
For the last one, I used (accidentally) my slowest Fox Kit, Alpine Foxling Kit. I think the same strategy would work much better with a faster kit, even though I was effective.
My fox kit only needed crouch and bite. Crouch first, then bite that darned beetle into submission.

Zandalari Anklerender (121), Oily Slimeling (111) and Clockwork Gnome (111) made for a smooth and clean kill. The slimeling puts out a ton of damage and kills Spring very quickly, the gnome kills Pyth, and finally the anklerender deals with the critter smoothly.

10 round leveling strategy
***UPDATED: June 23, 2020***
1.
战斗机器人
(L25 Rare)
with
飞弹
,
雷区
and
发射火箭
.
2. Carry pet:
ANY level.
3.
节点雏龙
(L25 Rare; Breed: P/P)
with
法力澎湃
and
奥术风暴
.
R1:
雷区
R2:
发射火箭
R3:
发射火箭
R4:
飞弹
;
Pyth dies.
R5:
飞弹
;
战斗机器人
dies, bring in Carry pet
.
R6: Switch to
节点雏龙
R7:
奥术风暴
R8:
法力澎湃
;
Spring dies.
R9:
法力澎湃
continued.
R10:
法力澎湃
continued; Clatter dies.
EDIT
:
发射火箭
replaces
强化护甲
, thus removing all RNG from the fight vs. Pyth (with the added bonus that a critical strike on R3 will kill Pyth sooner).

This worked for me at least.
Rare lvl 25
钢铁星弹
(1, 2, 1)
翡翠始祖龙宝宝
(2, 2, 2)
Carry pet or
毛绒雷象
With
钢铁星弹
I used Toxic smoke first then Wind-up x2, Pyth die.
Change to
翡翠始祖龙宝宝
for the others two and keep always Emerald presence, then spam Emerald bite and use Emerald dream if you have a 50% health; prefer use that if you have a 60% health.
Good luck :)

For those who might not have some of the pets mentioned above:
I went with Sea Gull, Emerald Proto-Whelp and Nexus Whelpling.
I think I played pretty bad with seagull, probably best is to just keep Thrash'ing with the speed advantage.
I tried different things and got killed. Switched to whelp, killed it in the first bite. For next one, kept a combo of emerald dream and emerald bite.
At the last enemy I didn't play too carefully knowing I have nexus whelpling, proto-whelp got killed too.
With nexus whelpling, I just did the classical arcane storm and mana surge and it was easy peasy.
If played carefully, I'm *pretty* sure seagull and proto-whelp can be combined with pretty much anything.

This is a cheat/cancer battle. Avoid at all cost. None of the guides posted here worked whatsoever.

My 3 pet team strategy.
Unborn Val'kyr (1,1,2)
Eldritch Manafiend (1,Any,2) or another pet with Arcane Blast
Anubisath Idol (2,2,Any)
Pyth - Use Siphon Life and spam Shadow Slash until you die, you will come back immune for 1 round, use Unholy Ascension. Pyth will probably die from your first ability alone.
Spring - Use your Eldritch Manafiend. Soulrush on cooldown, followed by Arcane Blast until Spring dies.
On the last pet use Anubisath Idol. Use Stoneskin to increase your defense and then demolish until it dies.
Note about loot: You don't get anything related to Visions of N'zoth. I got a Sack of Pet Supplies containing 3 Magical Mini-treats, which are useless.

I struggled a bit with this 2-pet team up with Elekk Plushie for the
An Awfully Big Adventure
achievement. I've tried different tactiques mentioned on his page and this Is what worked for me:
1)
Iron Starlette
2)
Spectral Porcupette
3)
Elekk Plushie
1) Against Pyth: 2x Wind-up and if not dead - Toxic Smoke - Pyth dies
2) Switch to Spectral Porcupette (if Spring begins with Cocoon Strike - use Spirit Spikes), then Spectral Spine and then Powerball till Spirit Spikes are ready, and then Spectral Spine if Spring is not dead already).
3) Use Spirit Spikes when possible against Clatter followed by Spectral Spine, then attack with Powerball and continue this till your pet dies. Switch back to Iron Starlette, and use 2x Wind-up. Possible with Supercharge but it will depend on your health.

Easy for me with Menagerie Custodian, Sticky Oozling, and Snort! The mech/magic/beast combo works.

I just squeaked a win with:
Tranquil Mechanical Yeti
1 1 2
Mei Li Sparkler
1 2 1
Bronze Whelpling
1 1 2
But
I did much better with 2 Bronze Whelplings one set at 1 1 2 & the other at 1 1 1

Lil Bling 2,2,1
extra plating
make it rain
Inflation
Nexus Whelpling 2,2,2

That's pretty much it , you may need to use I couple more spells give or take but I took him down really easy
Happy gaming, God Bless
I almost forgot the 3rd pet is Elekk Plushie for the An awfully big adventure achievement

For the people like myself that came here without pet battle knowledge and a limited amount of pets.
I beat this using lvl 25 rare
Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling
Celestial Dragon
Toothy
I only have a couple hundred pets from 13 years playing and I just got into battles. These are easy to get pets that you probably already have and if not you can get them from the AH.

Lil Bling first up (,Extra plating, make it rain and then inflation)
faerie dragon, (Moonfire, arcane blast and a life exchange on the last enemy as it came out then more arcane blasts to finish)
then kunlai runt, but didn't need the runt as the first two sorted them out good and proper.
