Defeated using a level 18 rare mountain skunk (switching out the middle ability for "pep up"), and a level 19 rare restless shadeling. (I also had a level 18 rare snow cub that didn't get pulled out once. Used RS on elemental pet, and MS on both undead. None of my pets died, and I defeated her. After defeating her and unlocking the daily, I battled her again, and got MS killed against the elemental) -- so the RS got all the credit, and actually gained a level.

Easily spanked into submission using a frog or toad. I recommend capturing a rare or two (or three!) in the Swamp of Sorrows. Alternatively, head to Zangarmarsh, where small frogs will be level 17 once captured. (Keep in mind that Bats make excellent Frog hunters)

I engaged her with 3 various frogs, all level 18. On one, the first attack slot was switched to the tongue attack to better deal with undead. She was defeated using only 2 pets.

A second engagement was tried, and i beat her using only one level 18 frog. Tongue-lash the undead and kiss the elemental; their attacks are pitiful against aquatic pets.

Easily smacked down by my level 17 Shimmershell Snail. He beat all three without ever switching out pets. Highly recommended if you're having difficulty with this fight.

This was much easier than what I was anticipating. IMO most of the pets leading up to this point have been somewhat OP for their level and using abilities above their level. So to see that this Trainer had lvl 19 elite pets I was nervous to say the least.

I used level 17 Fossilized Hatchling 化石幼兽, level 18 Panther Cub 猎豹幼崽 and level 18 Horny Toad 亮鳞蜥蜴, all rares and had little difficulty besting this boss. Toady was clearly the strongest of the three and could have come close to solo'ing this encounter. If you have more than one water creature it will be to your advantage to use it on this fight.

After she demolished my lvl 18 stunted yeti (oh rly! ;) ) i entered the fight with lvl 15 tainted cockroach, which two-shotted both lvl 19 undeads.

I beat her with a team of a level 20 Azure Whelpling, and a level 19 Baby Blizzard Bear, and a level 20 Spirit of Competition. My reward bag included an Exquisite Murloc Leash and a Flawless Dragonkin Battle-Stone.

If you're having trouble with this one because your pets are under-leveled (can happen if you have a lot of store-bought pets) go to Kun-Lai Summit and grab a Plains Monitor. At level 23 they're sort of easy to catch with a couple of level 16 store-bought rare pets and they have the deadly ability Comeback, that will destroy the Undead pets Lydia has.

I beat her today with a lvl 16 Spotted Bell Frog (rare), lvl 19 Arctic Hare (uncommon) and a lvl 19 Tainted Cockroach (rare).
Started battle against Nightstalker with my Hare, still had over 600 health after killing Nightstalker, switched to Tainted for bishibosh and over 800 life after killing bishi, then switched to Frog and had 400 life left after killing Jack. Completed Taming Eastern Kingdoms Achievement then healed my pets and did it again for the daily with pretty much the same results..

A note if you're trying to battle her for The Longest Day: If you picked up Battle Pet Tamers: Eastern Kingdoms on an Alliance character, you'll have to complete this first to be able to battle Lydia. Also, this quest is not abandonable.

I found an excellent way to defeat her for those of you who do this daily. The trick lies within my lil buddy, Peddlefeet (level 25). The moves you'll want to select are Rapid Fire and Love Potion (ignore his middle ability.)

Anyhow, her first creature will be Jack, the only one who isn't undead. What you do here is basically whittle the three down with Rapid Fire, whilst occasionally healing yourself with Love Potion. Jack will heal himself once or twice, while his undead buddies waste away in the back. Eventually, the two undead creatures will die and resurrect. However, since they are stuck in back, they can't do anything and die again. At this point, you can either outright kill Jack, or pull out a pet or two you are carrying to finish him off and hopefully level up.

You don't really need to have good counter-team vs trainers that only have uncommon pets. I had lvl 16 critter(beetle, uncommon), lvl 18 magic(arcane eye, uncommon) and lvl 16 beast(crystal spider, uncommon). Did it with Arcane Eye being the sole survivor and received insane 1200XP.

If you're wonder why you're unable to battle Lydia, it's because she's the "boss" of the Eastern Kingdom trainers, and YOU MUST DEFEAT HER LAST.

If you want to level a pet on this fight, start off with the pet to be leveled. The first pet of Lydia will start with a non-damaging ability, so you can even level a lvl 1 pet on this fight.

This is your one stop shopping for intense pet leveling! Do the level one pet on the first pet battle daily, and that will jump it to about 6 immediately. Then go around and battle arcane eyes. They are plentiful so don't worry about someone else not getting one. The odd thing is they only single spawn at level 16-18 so stick a level 1 pet for first hit then bring in a higher one to wafflestomp the eye. Your low level will get huge difficulty bonus and you might even find a rare eye in the process. You can level up a pet level 10 and lower several levels in just a few battles. Keep swapping them out while you wait for cooldown on repair pet as there isn't a healer nearby.

And if you're really bored, and a high enough level, nip into Kara and try for the hunter's mount.

ETA: Occasionally, Jack will cast Thorns as his first attack and if it doesn't one shot your lvl 1, the poison will kill it the next round. Just forfeit and try again.

My favorite setup for safely leveling a lvl1 pet with Lydia:

1. 雷尾土拨鼠 with with Tail Slap & Beaver Dam
2. Leveling pet
3. Undead killer. Frog, squirrel etc.

Kill the elemental and the first undead with Tail Slap. When the undead dies the first time (or maybe earlier if you have really bad RNG), cast Beaver Dam. Swap in the leveling pet for one only turn, the attack will be blocked by the dam. Swap to your frog, or whatever you chose as your last pet.

Two-pet strategy with carry/elekk

25 Rare Biletoad (Water Jet, Cleansing Rain, Swarm of Flies)
25 Yellow-Bellied Bullfrog (Tongue Lash, Healing Wave, Swarm of Fllies)
Level pet

Open with Biletoad and throw down Cleansing Rain. Water Jet till Jack is dead. Cast Swarm of Flies. Water Jet till Bishbosh Damned. Bring in level pet. Switch to bullfrog. Cast Swarm of Flies. Tongue Lash until Nighstalker Damned. Healing Wave.

12 rounds. Level pet was Level 4 Lumpy. Leveled to 9.

So easily dominated with any level 25 frog. You can bring lvl 1 pet to level as well, but enemy seem to use abilities at complete random and he may end up killed. Bring first pet with Decoy, put it on, swap to lvling pet, swap to your frog, start killing; well, putting back to rest.

Working the "An Awfully Big Adventure" Achieve I was able to Solo Lydia Accoste's pet team with a level 25 Garden Frog H/B using Healing wave whenever I got close to half health and killed the team by Spaming Frog Kiss. My backup frog was set to use Tongue Lash vs the undeads but I didnt have to enter him:) and I got credit by having the Elekk Plushie in the third spot and did not have to bring him in to get credit for the achieve.

Soloed this with a Level 25 Leopard Tree Frog (1,2,2) with a carry pet (takes no damage) and and an Elekk Plushie for An Awfully Big Adventure.

Put the carry pet in first, swap in the frog to kill everyone else.

Hope this helps other fellow pet battlers.

One of my favorite leveling pet battles, using an Emerald Turtle, using Blast for the first elemental, bringing in your two leveling pets here. I like level 6+, just in case he poisons one.

I use healing wave when needed, fighting the two undead with Powerball.

I have tried both of my breeds, H/H and B/B, and seems the B/B works better.

I was able to duel her with my mage during the pre-patch. I didn't start the invasion quest chain.

She seems to be phased out during the Legion invasion event, with Dalaran floating above Karazhan. Trainers in other zones are also phased out during an invasion (eg Old MacDonald in Westfall).

Just a heads up, you can complete this trainer if you use a character that has not completed the broken shore scenario. Since the main quest that can hold up your progress is account-wide, anyone with an extra character laying around should be able to complete it as long as they have not done the scenario.

level 23 crab (so you get xp from the battle) Start with leveling pet. Cast 1 round then swap for next leveling pet. Swap it out (no damage required) then bring in the crab. Surge, renewing mists and whirlpool. Cast whirlpool then renewing mists. Keep both of these on cooldown and fill in the blanks with surge.

For those who bring lowbies along for XP from the pet dailies, be advised: Level 100 mobs now patrol the skies around Kara and will make mincemeat out of most sub 100's.

There seems to be some phasing issue with Lydia AFTER Legion began. If you fly from SW to Duskwood you probably won't see her at 40,76 .... so try using the Kara portal in the Legion Dalaran lower level to get to Lydia. I was able to see her taking that way.

Don't ferry a lowbie to her in the hopes of easy exp... the Dreadwings have an aggro range of half the dang zone and your lowbie will be eaten alive. Whoops.

Very easy battle, make sure Elekk is first pet , use what ever move you what to, then switch out

Elekk Plushie (For Leveling) (An Awfully Big Adventure)

Emperor Crab 2,2,2 - Soloed the battle
Whirlpool, use when off cooldown
Healing Wave, Just use when lower than 75% health, or when off cooldown
Surge, spam this after Whirlpool
