This orc is standing outside of the Darkmoon Deathmatch Pit and announces every three hours when the actual deathmatches begin, as well as it's winners who survive long enough to open the chest in the middle of the arena, loot 格斗士 and get the 暗月决斗者 achievement.

According to the official preview of the new Darkmoon Faire, someone named Pitmaster Pei initially was going to be in charge of the arena tournaments, as even the old quest description of 真正的斗士 asks you to "speak with Pitmaster Pei at the Darkmoon Faire".

Who knows what has happened to him, perhaps he went to the woods one day never to return? Or maybe creepy 罗纳·绿齿 standing not far from the Faire had something to do with it... :D

Supposedly, the deathmatches are supposed to start at midnight, and every three hours thereafter. However, presumably due to cross-realm zone stupidity, they may happen one or two hours off from when they're supposed to. Be warned.

The last five deathmatches I've observed on my server (across three different months) all happened an hour before they were supposed to. I am not sure if this is just a coincidence though.

As of 6.2, you can obtain 回归勇士 from the deathmatch. As long as you have already won it 12 times, you'll get it on the 13th win.

I wonder what got a Mag'har orc to run away from his clan and join the circus. Then again, being in charge of a death-match pit has its perks.
