They arent "rare"... at least not the same as silver dragon rares. It seems they all spawn one after the other once one is killed.

Searris dropped trash loot like the other fire elementals.

Killed him with 3 people in total; a warrior tank, a druid healer (myself), and a BM hunter as dps. Could have easily done it with just a tank and healer, as the damage each elemental lord did was negligible on a ZA/ZG geared tank, but it would have taken much longer to get them down as they had a fairly substantial health pool.
Once we killed this guy,
Fah Jarakk, Lord of Smoke
spawned on the next ledge into the roost, so it looks like only one elemental lord can be up at a time.
Searris, Lord of Embers
spawned right after him at the place where you fight Sethria for her questline, and
Andrazor, Lord of Cinders
spawned right above us the second Searris went down.
Kelbnar did not respawn after we'd killed all the elemental lords, so they are definitely rare spawns even though it doesn't say so on the mob itself. They most likely have a "common" rare spawn timer of 6-24 hours, but I can't confirm this. Despite the fact that they are rare, all every one of them dropped was 2 gray items; one
Lava Ruby
and a mob-specific gray such as
Fire-scorched Claw
. Fah Jarakk can be mined, but I didn't notice any of the others having that option. So it looks like these mobs are just for the achievement (
The Fiery Lords of Sethria's Roost
), for now.
Happy hunting :)

Can be soloed by a hunter if you start standing further than 40 yards away but closer than 45 and let your pet tank. I recommend pulling him when he is at the furthest north point of the ledge he spawns on as there are few mobs nearby. You can safely stand in the low hills around there.
Ignite
has a 40 yard range and the boss will quickly oom. However, within 45 yards you can still Mend Pet. This way, your pet will take all the damage and quickly drain the boss's mana. The damage incoming on the pet will be very large at first, but once Searris runs out of mana casting mend pet sporadically is more than enough to maintain your pet as he melees for next to nothing. Once the boss is oom you can step within shot range and proceed to kill him. The small
Seethers
that he occasionally spawns can be easily dispatched with a couple shots as they spawn.
Good luck!

Searris is probably the hardest of the Lords to solo while you're on the daily. Just make sure to interrupt as many of his Ignites as possible, as it does a very heavy amount of fire damage and disorients you, and will make quick work of your druid buddies. If you are ranged, try to keep him as far away as possible.

If anyone's having trouble farming these, I would suggest doing it right after the server reset. I ran into all four in less than 10 minutes time and I got the achievement without spending hours upon hours to farm. In case you're after him with more people, group up and tag along; it makes killing things easier, faster, and leaves more time to kill the others, too, before someone gets him before you do.
Best of luck!

Even though he is neutral and won't attack unless you do first, I found Mirror Images will target him rather then the other mobs in the area you are attacking, so becareful with any type of adds you pop in his vincinity.

When I fought this guy he only seemed to cast Ignite when my Hyjal Defenders were alive. Once they all died, and it was just me, he didn't cast Ignite anymore.
Being bad at math and not really paying attention, I saw 3.4K or whatever on his lifebar, and thought that meant 300,000 health. "No problem!", I thought. Except that he actually has 3,000,000 health. Oops.
I am a Holy Paladin. Do you know what it's like Exorcism-spamming down 3,000,000 health? DO YOU?
I think it took about 15 minutes, before some Shaman took pity on me and helped with the last sliver of life. Still ended the fight with full life and mana. Perfectly soloable as a Holy Paladin, although -- like everything else -- really, really, really boring.

"Nearly" solo killed with BM hunter, other players rushed in around 40% hp left on Searris and made the job rather easy (tried to invite, but i think they wanted the respawn timer free for the other achievement targets or they didin't know one needs to be in same party with the one who has tagged them). Nevertheless it was going without problems so i would say its soloable by hunters.
For this solo attempt i did use
Tenacity
pet (to be more precise a
bear
pet for their very usefull special skill
Demoralizing Roar
.)
Things to remember :
Important : Player should stay at maximum range to avoid Searris ability
Ignite
.
Keep
Misdirection
up on your pet as often as possible. (using of course
Glyph of Misdirection
)
You can drop using Misdirection once your pet has enough threat on Searris to maximize more dps. Only the summoned
Seether
might start to move towards you from near the pet and Searris for abandoning misdirection use and getting their aggro. They move rather slowly towards player so just shoot them with few
arcane shots
for example.
Keep
Mend Pet
up and reapply when it wears off your pet.
After while of fighting Searris will be slain and you can enjoy successful solo.

Searris is soloable by some people. I did soloed him without a problem (blood dk) as i did with Fah Jarakk. Just got to kill those little Seethers before they overrun you.Three is the magic number.
Fah Jarakk is pretty easy, just walk to a wall so his fire nova don't push you away.
Andrazor is NOT soloable, unless you are an overpowered healer, Andrazor spams Fireball, which does 12k damage and take 1 second to cast. You need a healer for this
I guess it's the same for Kelbnar, run into a wall and stay there, his leaping bite won't push you in the wall. I didn't did this fight, i saw him getting overrunned by alliances. The fight took 2 seconds.
You don't get the credit if you don't do the first strike. You must be in a party or be the first striker to get the credit.

Tried to kill him multiple times as both Arcane and Frost mage. I failed every time. Got him to aprox. 1.6 millions hp before I died from his ignite ability.
Couldn't do any dmg when out of his range for Ignite (40 yards)
Must also add I'm PvP geared.

"Soloed" with my quest NPCs as a 358 PvE geared ret paladin. I happened to be raid buffed as well at the time, but it wasn't ever any real danger. Rebuke was ready for every ignite he cast, and he didn't seem to summon any adds for some reason. Never went below 50% health, and only healed with Word of Glory. Stunnable.

Soloed as a Ret Paladin with Ilvl 360 equipped. Just healed myself alot with word of glory when cd went off.
At some point he ran out of mana and it was a cake from there on.
Might take 10-15 minutes but what the hell. Job done!
(Worst fear for me was to be nuked by a horde)
Just need to camp for Kelbnar now.

Just as a tip, if you ever get The Leaper as a NPC in The Protector of Hyjal, that would be a good time to solo thoses bosses. The Leaper alone can do 30k DPS, so bosses goes down quick. If you can tank its even better since he wont die easily.
Soloed everyone as a rogue except Searris which caused me problem cause Leaper was dying too fast.

Just soloed it as a feral druid. I had tried letting the protectors tank him, and have me dps as a kitty. Having to switch targets to kill the adds meant that I often had problems staying on him for ignite, and that meant my protectors died pretty fast. I also think I noticed that he doesn't cast ignite on his primary target. After trying a couple of times as kitty, I decided to try bear form, and I got it the first time.
For some reason he only summoned one or two seethers. I also think that I take less damage than the Hyjal Protector. In fact, my health pretty much never dropped, and I was able to interrupt all the ignites. If there were more seethers I might have had a problem, but Thrash and Maul mean I don't have to change my focus to be able to kill them.

Tagged him on my blood dk, hyjal protectors aggro'd a nearby add. I killed the weaker elite and then moved on to Searris. Once he killed my hyjal protectors I was able to move him to a convenient out-of-the-way location. He stopped casting ignite once the protectors were dead. He doesn't melee hard at all so the damage he did was 100% mitigated through blood shield from that point on. It was a boring ~5-10 minute kill.
If you're gonna do this as a blood dk, chain CDs during the initial onslaught of damage until your protectors are dead, then move searris out of the way so you don't aggro any adds. The protectors actually work AGAINST you since they spam entangling roots keeping you from death gripping the mob out of the way and otherwise holding aggro when you're trying to get the mob into a place where the protectors WON'T pull adds.

As a feral druid he is easy if you take the advice of interupting the ignite. The ignite is around every 30 secondsso the cooldown is never the issue. Stick some tanking gear on and the NPCs won't die if you hold agro.

Soloable by shadow priest. Just soloed with Linken as my companion from the quest. The main strategy is to start in low range and as your companions have the agro you run to max range while popping shadow fiend while you run as it will soak some of ignites. Then just keep full nuke up until Searris has killed your gang. When he is on you use all your defensive cooldowns to keep yourself alive until you have defeated your foe. (SW:P will be enough for each of the adds he spawns.)

A hunter can definitely solo with a tanking pet, but be aware of the adds and kill them as they pop (I was doing fine soloing as a BM hunter until 5-6 of them were on me, then I died pretty fast). Otherwise keep the heals going on your tank and stay at maximum range. Taking Searris on at the north end of the ledge is also good advice, fewer chance of drawing aggro from nearby mobs.
That said, much easier with two. Flying back to my corpse I did a call out to see if anyone else needed him, and another hunter responded. Burned through it fast and easy that way.

I just did the first two of these four elemental by myself, ( a resto shaman in JP gear ) using bind elemental to regen mana once my helpers were all dead. It took forever but worked well. Then I got to Searris, who's ignite I could interrupt, then kill the adds. However, when I bind elemental, this bastard continues to summon his adds while in the chains. I guess that's not considered "casting spells"? It looks like he's casting when he summons them.

Searris is basically a very big, very strong Pyrelord. He's located on the southern-most plateau and patrols around. There's a lot of other mobs around there, so you might want to clear the place out a bit before pulling him.
As I said earlier, he's a stronger Pyrelord, but without the Reflective Shield and with a new spell, Ignite. This spell causes the target to walk away in fear whilst burning for a moderate amount of damage (about 60k over 7 seconds). He also still summons Seethers, little fire elementals with a small amount of health, which shouldn't be a problem. You can even use them for procs!
He still uses the standard chain fireball the Pyrelords use, so multiple targets will take damage, and he can also cast a standard Flame Shock.
He's probably the hardest of the four bosses to solo. Of course, there's no shame in asking a friend for help!

Soloed as feral (bear spec). Took a while, but wasn't in danger anytime.
Pull threat from the NPCs that assist you so they live a little longer to help you and don't forget your cooldowns, especially Frenzied Regeneration (non glyphed!) and you should be able to get him without a single heal.

Solo'd this as an arcane mage in T11 plus a few 378 bits. Took about 8 tries, but got there in the end...
Open with a big burst - time warp, pre-pot with volcanic potion, arcane power, the whole 9 yards. Then Invisibility to reduce aggro back to 0 - I had Thassarian, so let him tank for a while. Counterspell the Ignites where possible - also, if you're human, Every Man For Himself removes the disorient effect
and
the DoT (plus use ice block, ofc) - it was quite a long fight so EMFH took a couple of the Ignites out of the mix. Glyphed Evocation helps when the pet druid healer is slacking off - Mirror Images ate a couple of Ignites for me too, which was nice of them... Definitly recommend prioritising the little Seether adds, too. Lastly, nova & blink to put some range between you and him and his Flame Shock.
There's quite a lot of RNG in this but it
is
just about do-able. Horrible repair bill, mind you...

Protection Paladin was simple to down this guy, I never dropped below 115K health.
Rebuke any Ignite he does.
If you have 3/3 points in your talent tree placed in "Crusade" in the retribution tree for your talents, at about 120K health you normal have already killed a couple Seethers that spawn which allow you to get that 300% Heal increase for your Holy Light normally for about 25k - 30k Health, add in an occasional 3 charge "Word of Glory" and your right back to full health or close to it.
Just use inquisition fully charged as much as you can to make the fight quicker and don't waste the 3 Holy Power on "Shield of the Righteous" unless you have inquisition still active or Avenging wrath!

I tried to solo this about 1h as demo warlock in ~385 ilvl. As people have stated before he does two things:
1. Ignire: fire aoe coil ability on ~5-20 sec cd that horrors you and your pets and drains ~50k hp, about 35 yards range
2. Seether: small elemental adds that can crit on cloth up to 8k, spawns them every 10 sec or so
Biggest issue with soloing this is staying in 40 yards range where you wont get Ignited, killing adds fast enough and killing his 3,2 mil hp before those quest elites respawn. Also after every ignite on his aggro target he will follow it and reposition creating more chance to aggro surrounding mobs that you havent killed or that just respawned. Best try 20% I got chased by respawning mob.
All in all unless you're a "tanky" class and can stay in his melee and eat all the dmg dont try to solo this.

Definitly the hardest of all four to solo but doable by hunter (no experience of other classes), took me 2 deaths before I came here and used the 40-45yard range trick. My wolf wasnt taking SO much damage as I expected, 10k heal ticks from glyphed MP were more than enough (I also got turtle pet with 17k heals). Staying that far away also prevents Seethers from spwaning in melee range which is pain in the arse for any hunter as you WILL get several 3-4k hits when seether spawns on top of you. Once Tharassian got his ass handed to Searris he stopped casting Ignite and I was free to DPS him down and score my achievement ^^

Solo'd as a Shadow Priest (Had Confessor). This one is a little tricky.
I took Searris with less attempts than anyone else except Fah Jarakk (same amount), though most people say he is harder. Did it in one attempt.
Stay at range, being very careful not to aggro the other mobs (They are pretty close by). His ignites will toast your druid buddies very quickly, but with luck you'll get him down to almost half his HP before they're all dead. The little fire elementals I didn't have a problem with, they were a minor nuisance but I never had to target them and kill them until after Searris died.
Full nuke him immediately, and cast Fade when you aggro. Your druid buddies don't live long enough to worry about keeping your DPS low to avoid pulling. I popped all my CDs from the start, though it may have been wiser to keep shadowfiend until later, in hindsight.
After he obliterates your poor dispensable druids, he will come running after you. Keep your DoTs on him at ALL times, as the key here is to survive as long as possible using few channeling/casting spells. If you have Confessor, she might heal you a little, but don't rely on her. PW:S may help a little bit as you kite him.
残酷者的诡计
, if you have it, is useful for keeping the flame elementals off of you. Once you're fresh out of defensive CDs (Unconfirmed if fear works on Searris, but it likely works on the fire elementals if you have trouble with them), renew your DoTs, and pop Divine Hymn. It will keep you alive (and even slightly heal you) for the full duration of the spell. If you're an Alchemist, using Lifeblood as much as possible will quicken the pace of the DoTs a bit.
He should be under 25% shortly, so start casting SW:D. Keep PW:S on as much as possible, and use your shadowfiend + fade to soak up some damage. With your DoTs, SW:D, and shadowfiend, he takes damage pretty fast. After your shadowfiend is up, you'll get aggro again. Hopefully you kited away enough that you can finally start some Mind Flays to slow him down. Once he gets to you again, use fear and PW:S, and start kiting again. At this point it's up to RNG if you've got enough damage in to kill him before you die. You should, however, have killed him by now. If you don't kill him using this within a couple attempts, your gear is likely too low or unsufficiently gemmed/enchanted. Also, if you get unlucky with how many times he casts Ignite on you before your druids die, you may not be able to solo him. It's a close call, but do-able with the Confessor.
Good luck!

Also doable as combat rogue.
Make sure you keep recuperate up from the start, since he has some passive AoE damage, and kick him every time he uses ignite.
Also activated/deactivated blade flurry when he spawns a seether, so they die quick but there is no combo point/dps loss on the "boss"
He can also be stunned by kidney shot, so i used that alot too, to lower his damage done, and keeping the hyjal protectors alive longer.
Once the protectors are dead, start using evasion and CoS to reduce the dmg taken, and just nuke him down asap, and you won't have any big problems,

Just found this guy as a demo lock (400 ilvl) and thought it would be fun to give it a go. With approximately 50k dps it only took me around a minute to take him down. One of the guardians went bear to tank him so I had almost no damage against me. It's a truly easy solo, at least if you can pull some dps.

As a shadow priest with item level 392, I've tried many times and wasn't able to solo this boss until this patch (5.0.4). Finally killed him at the 2nd try and got my achievement. It was quite difficult, but doable.
First of all clear some of the trash mobs around so you won't pull them when working on the boss, and don't loot the corpses so they won't respawn too soon. Go all out at the beginning and Fade when aggroed.
I strongly recommend Void Tendrils and Mindbender. The adds hit quite hard but fortunately they are crowd-controllable so when it starts to get overwhelming use fear and tendrils. Use Mindbender + Fade on cooldown to ease up some damage.
When the NPC teammates are killed it's really important to keep the DOTs up, use cc to kite, and heal yourself with shield and Vampiric Embrace. Glyph of Dark Binding really shines here.
Maybe I was lucky because I didn't get terrorized by his Ignite as much as in the 1st try. In general it's a dps race + survival + "kill-him-before-he-kills-you" kind of fight. Good luck!
Edit:
P.S. I'm not sure if you can use Silence to interrupt his Ignite.
