One of several random NPCs on the island in the center of Lake Dumont, along with a burning tower and a mama cat. They're a mixture of Alliance races (although all have human-sounding names), but are friendly to both factions.

While they don't appear to do anything, the one worgen among their number has merchant voice lines.

According to Wowpedia Jonny Throop and the others are all Blizzard employees.

Wowpedia:
All the NPCs, except for cats, carry names of people associated with Blizzard's games, i.e. Judah Mehler was a tester for StarCraft and StarCraft: Brood War, and Larissa Bussell was a production assistant for Wrath of the Lich King. At BlizzCon 2010, it was mentioned that they are all members of a single team within Blizzard.
