I found Quall at 8:06pm server time, Gilneas server. He was located behind the hut just south of Windshear hold. If you have a map coordinates app the coordinates were 59.66, 64.42. Quall was hostile.

He was literally right next to that little green Goblin style hut. He's really close to the floor, and hostile.

Just tamed him 6 A.M. Akama server time. Yes it is confirmed he spawns just left of the little Goblin Hut south of Windshear Hold. I was bored and killed the hawk on the hill and suddenly he spawned. One of the most beautiful PVP pets I've ever tamed. Happy Hunting to all! ^_^

Tamed it today at the spawn point cited above at 8:04am on Draenor EU, beautiful bird! It is not exotic but it looks like a spirit beast.

Tamed it on my lvl 66 hunter. Got there around 11AM server time, wasn't there. Since I wanted to level I stayed there and queued for dungeons. Did one, ported out, wasn't there. Went on a second one, ported out after and there he was. No one was camping him here (aggramar). Tamed without any problem, and you can see it pretty well, considering the place is brownish and the bird is bright blue with bright purple eyes. Tamed at 12:30AM server time. She's the perfect companion for my hunter and her Sapphire Panther mount.

I arrived at the spawn point in Stonetalon Mountains to see a fellow hunter waiting to tame this epic pet.

The beast spawned at 2:47 AM on Darkspear NA and was tamed at the same time.

I then waited for the beast to respawn so that I could tame it myself.

I can confirm a 2 hour respawn time as the beast respawned at 4:47 AM on Darkspear NA and i tamed it at this time.

Found Quall today around 6:30am (roughly) server time on Uther server. Located just as been said in here, just to the side of the hut. Coords are 59.79, 63.95 where it was tamed! I only waited about one hour and fifteen minutes until it spawned again. Good luck :D

Tamed today at 6:30pm (server time) on Nagrand level 67.
Located exactly as it says here; on the left side of the hut. I waited around 1hr and 30 minutes but it is definitely worth it, beautiful pet.

Tamed on 12/18/12 at 12:42 AM server time on Dawnbringer, exactly two hours after my friend tamed it. Because there are so many other reports of him being on a two hour spawn timer, I think we can confirm this as a fact.

He spawns just beside the hut, low to the ground. I saw him on the right side of the hut, assuming you are facing the entrance. Because I tamed him immediately, I cannot tell you if he moves at all, but I believe he remains stationary.

Because he is not exotic, he is a great pet for non-beast mastery hunters. Very pleasing to the eye. Plus, two hours is not a bad wait at all, especially for a unique skin.

I found this gorgeous blue bird at 2 am server time, on Silverhand. He matches my azure drake wonderfully! If you love blue, go for him- you don't even need to be BM spec'd to tame him.

Just tamed mine, on Garona 10am server time (not sure what Cross Realm). Decided to check to see if he was up before heading out, and he was right by the Goblin Hut.

I killed the Eagle on the mountain near the hut & Quall spawned just like LadyLuck24 said. Thanks for the tip. Way better than waiting 2 hrs for it to spawn. Just tamed 1:27 PM server time on Nesingwary Server.

I found Quall at 8:15 realm time on Bleeding Hollow. It was the first time I went searching for him and didn't spend more then 30 seconds looking. He was flying behind a hut.

I've always been envious of those Hunter's out there who can find a rare tameable spawn the first time they look and right now I feel pretty good.

I finally found her. Sitting there ever so loverly;) I start to tame when suddenly an idiot 85 belf hunter came along and shot it dead. Questioning her she said she was "watching it from a far" and it was rightfully hers. What an idiot... CATFIGHT between her and I but she just flew away. Currently sitting there camping the spot.

Tamed this mob twice two days ago, first by my husband at 9.30 server time, and then again by me at 10.56 server time (Hellscream). This is proof that it is NOT 2 hours for a respawn, because I remained in the hut area from the moment my husband got his tame until it respawned for me. I moved only once to kill the eagles*, and I was diligent about checking my minimap for any track beast indicators for Quall so that there was no way he would spawn and get ninja tamed/killed from under me. So it seems to be more than an hour, less than 2.

Anyhow, as you face the front of the hut, he spawns to the right side of it between the hut and the hill, pretty much directly under the hanging red bottle. He is hovering above the ground in flight at about eye level and doesn't move at all, so no need to look up in the sky or worry about him following a patrol path.

* = The Kalimdor Eagles have NOTHING to do with Quall. For the love of Sylvanas, stop assuming that killing X mob triggers a rare spawn just because you killed X mob and the rare happened to pop up. That's coincidence, not proof. As I said, I killed the eagles surrounding the hut, and you want to know what happened? Not a thing. No Quall spawn, no magical tap dancing bunnies in top hats, nothing. So do not post your assumptions, because all it does is serve to mislead and frustrate people when they don't get the same coincidental results you did.

Tamed on Area 52 Horde at 9:28am Server Time. Was killed at 7:46am server time. So thus further proves respawn time is around 1hour 30 minutes. Spawns under the rear red candle of the hut will fly around a bit. I stood on the hill by the time he reached me he was tamed.

It seems Quall is affected by some kind of phasing.

Twice I flew to Windsheer Hold via a taxi on my lvl 90 hunter (Loremaster, but done before Cataclysm, so didn't do any of the new quests). Twice my NPCscan (I added the mob to the list) spotted it, and I saw it spawned next to the hut. And twice, when I landed, and flew there, I found absolutely nothing.

In order to tame him you probably need to do some Stonetalon questlines first.

Got this guy on Kirin Tor just a minute ago(5:34pm server time). Took about 2 hours of waiting, don't know when he spawned the last time as he wasn't there when I first got there. He spawned right next to the hut. Very pretty bird.

Just caught him on the right side of the hut if you are facing the front of the hut (59.8, 63.9). I was camping for him starting around 1:45am and had to go afk due to real life agro. Came back and a blood elf had just tamed it at 2:09am. Considering it seemed to be a roughly 2 hour timer I decided to wait it out. Was on wowhead looking up information about Olm and decided to flip over to wow at 3am to make sure i did not log out and he was there again! Seems to be the timer can vary or it has been reduced again.

just tamed him May 13, 2013 at 7:34pm Central time on Kul Tiras Server(US). Saw him flapping around the hut just south of Windshear Hold. The hut can be seen from the top of the tower there too.
House has a green roof with some kind of ornaments hanging all around, kinda christmas-ish.

i stayed up all night waiting for this guy on Echo Isles. a lvl 64 belf hunter got it and rubbed it in my face then when i got my chance to tame a lvl 86 belf rogue killed it. i went to help my dad with something then came back in and there he was waiting for me he was right next to the building just flapping there he doesnt move at all so to all u hunters good luck i hope u love him just as much as i do........happy hunting and is it confirmed the spawn time is 1hr 30min-2hrs.

I decided to try and get this pet on my ally and horde hunters (one is 90, one is 43) and on different realms, so I was wondering how much of a wait and what kind of competition there would be. I flew over on my ally hunter, and sat down, and logged off. The next time I logged in, about an hour later, I was there for 5 minutes when it spawned. I never saw anyone else, tamed it uneventfully. On my horde toon & realm, there were other folks there (not hunters, but folks leveling) and no sign of Quall after several logins and waiting for ~30 mins each time I logged in. Tonight, I logged in, no sign, but as I was logging out, it spawned. I logged back in really quickly, having missed hitting the "cancel" button and tamed Quall, JUST in time to have an 85 goblin hunter fly over clearly looking for Quall. I can't confirm spawn time, but I do think this is not one of the harder ones to camp. Bonus info: never did any questing or killed any mobs in the area. Both times spawn was just spawn, as is the case with the majority of rares. Good luck to my fellow hunters!

Found Quall at around 5am on Turalyon right where the other posts said it was. Just stand in front of the little hut and look to your right and he's right there. Beautiful hunter pet. Bird is hostile so be certain not to right click and be sure to put your other pet away and you will have a easy time taming it. Good luck and happy hunting

It was my lucky night, I'm a 35 troll hunter and I just to amed quall, iriss, khep-re, and sparkwing within the last hour. My server is eldre-thalus and as I'm typing this it's 4:20 am server time.

Just tamed at 3:01 pm on Uldaman/Ravencrest (aka "Uldacrest").

I was originally on another server, seeing all these rares up after maintenance when I decided "I should get that one bird for my little Night Elf hunter."

So, I server hopped on over to my hunter, took a flight path to Windshear Hold, which is right there next to his spawn point. I was lucky, considering it was just after maintence and thinking other people would have the same idea and camp his spot or they showed up before I did and already tamed him.

I was "overjoyed" when NPCScan announced in my chatbox (I had the "suppress alerts while on flight paths" button checked when it detected Quall. I was in Vent at the time and did a little "victory yell" to my guildies.

When I landed, I sprinted to the spot and tamed my new pet.

Hello, supra864 (Ainna, ally hunter) here. Jumped off Windshear Hold to hope to find this pretty beast, when I landed I was face to face with an Undead. Im sure he was waiting on the spawn before i got there. I dont know what level he was being it was just a skull (im level 27 at the time). Needless to say i died pretty quick. After the short walk back to my body i saw him taming :(. But I have to have it, so i dismissed my pet, used my shadowmeld and waited. I didnt think to look at the server time when i started the waiting game, but i will say it felt like a good 2 hours. At 4:34 it popped, I rushed to tame and was successful. Not 30 sec after another skull hunter fell off the cliff (I really hope he was looking for the bird). He one shotted me ha..

But everything I was how it was.. Under the red bottle on the right side of the hut.

I was camping for Quall today at level 23, I sat in his spawn area and did a few dungeons to reach his level. After the second Dungeon I saw a level 22 night elf hunter and thought, "Oh god, she's either going to try and tame him and fail because she's a lower level or she's gonna troll me and kill it before I can tame it."(I'm an Undead hunter) Well we both sat and waited about 45 mins for it to spawn and my NPC scanner went off while I was in the kitchen cooking. I ran to my laptop only to see the night elf running off with Quall attacking her lol. She ran out of the way and the bird began to attack me instead. I promptly tamed it and sighed with relief, thankful she didn't kill it. Honestly she didn't even attack it. When she came back and saw that I had tamed it she cheered. I was so glad she didn't kill Quall. I bowed and went on my way, just goes to show that not everyone on the opposite faction are out to get you. <3

Found it waiting behind the hut south of Windshear Hold. Killed me while trying to tame it, resurrected and it is no where to be found. Spent 3 hours last night camped out with no avail.

Confirming spawn rate. I saw it on Mazrigos at around 8:50 pm, but because it's normal server some horde low lvl killed it while I was taming it :/. So I had to wait about 1 hour 40 min for respawn. :)

Tamed Quall earlier today. Beautiful bird and it only took about 20 minutes of waiting from when I got there the first time. Typing this as I wait for Quall to spawn again.

Taking a little longer this time (it's later on in the day, took a break to eat before hunting her again) and the stress is real from all the Hordes in the area. They run by and I'm lowkey staring at their icon on the minimap thinking, "Do not." Especially since a lot of them are hunters so far.

Not to mention I believe there's a quest there so seeing all the people running into the hut to redeem it and sticking around for a sec afterwards is hard to watch for fear that Quall will spawn right then and there. The last thing I need is for someone to kill her right out from under me, be it for troll, for XP, or just not knowing/caring that I'm camping for it.

Tension is real, and I feel this probably goes for all rare tameables, but given this is my first one, I figured I'd share my experience here.

High level Hunters doing old world content, beware!

If you still have the 被俘的女猎人es with you from a previous quest, they WILL shoot the bird when you start taming. You might want to wait for just a few minutes for them to despawn. :D

I'm really starting to think they changed the spawn timer on this rare. Rolled up to the spawn point on Blackhand server at 1:15 pm server time, and it's now 4:25 pm server time. Still hide nor hair of him.

I have camped this bird a couple of times and although I see the previous comments stating his spawn timer is approximately two hours, the times that I have camped this bird has exceeded that and still no dice. Maybe blizz changed his spawn time ?

I managed to tame this on my level 20 hunter despite both petopia and wowhead saying that this is level 25.

Okay. I finally tamed this bird after several days of camping him. The comments here were all old, so I couldn't trust that it was "fact" about the 2 hour spawn timer. Nevertheless, I went to the Stonetalon Mountains and camped myself right there behind the goblin hut and waited. And waited. And waited. Four hours the first night. Six the next. On the third night, Quall spawned at approximately 5:45pm (Dalaran Server). My NPCscan went off and I looked up, just in time to see a warlock's voidwalker taunt the bird and kill him right in front of me. The warlock apologized, but the damage was done. So, I sat down to wait some more. At 1am the following morning, I finally gave in. I never saw Quall again that night.

I restarted my camping at around 8am, 7 hours after I last logged off and Quall was no where to be found. I waited until 9:30am, when he spawned again and I was able to tame him. THANK GOD!

Now, as frustrating as this experience was for me (even though I willingly put myself through it), I can say with finality that the 2 hour spawn time is NO LONGER the case if it ever was. Right now, I am thinking the spawn time is somewhere between 7 and 9 hours, making this bird extremely elusive. This is a lowbie questing area and the Quall is only level 25. On my server, there was a constant stream of people running in and out of the goblin hut. Quall is hostile, so he seems to get killed a lot. This only makes it more difficult to tame him.

Anyway, finally my journey is over for this pet, and I wanted to update everyone on how long it actually took to get him. Two hours would have been nice, but it's a fantasy nowadays. The timers must have been changed.

August 14, 2018, BFA release day, I can confirm he was there... his respawn is DEFINITELY longer than 2 hours though... camp, play alts, check back... thats what I did.

Just caught this guy 10.33pm in game time , twisting nether! Not sure how long his spawn timer is now but waited just under 3 hours. I waited longer the other night to no luck! Not sure how useable he is but he sure is beautiful!

Despite the difference in spelling, this guy may be a reference to the D&D magic item Quaal's Feather Token. They're single-use magic items with a variety of effects depending on the particular token.
