Finally, the black riding panther model in a tamable cat! It is a quest mob so the respawn is pretty fast. This is the only tamable cat of this model and color combination. In my opinion one of the best looking cats in the game. It also has the yawn/roar/slobber fidget action and sound that Rak'shiri had.

Shhhh, i think most people don't know about this npc or haven't figured out how cool it looks. It respawned almost right after i tamed it. Not hard at all to get, don't know why petopia has it listed as a rare.

I love this cat, tamed him first day after the new patch, and finally replaced my Humar the Pridelord, which I've had since lvl 23! I'm with zafu tho ......shhh don't tell anyone!

For all those who have done the 4.1 Stranglethorn quests, this Cat matches the Panther Cub PERFECTLY! They look very cute together, and neither are hard to get. Good for RP too, Mommy Panther and Baby Panther.

You know what I love most about this skin? Most people don't even know how rare it is. I mean, sure, the mob has a fairly quick respawn time, but only ONE mob in the game that's tamable has this skin. It's nice to walk around with a rare pet that most other people won't have.

I just tamed this beauty with my 71 Goblin Hunter. Easy tame, no complications whatsoever. There are no other mobs to kill first or anything.

I really wanted to tame a black panther in the Goblin starter zone, but they move you out of there before you have a chance.

This guy has the handsome dreadsaber body, and is rather rare to see tamed.

Another unique cat that might interest you is Shango, the dreadsaber tiger in Sholazar Basin.

Another cool thing about this pet is that you can also run with the Panther Cub battle pet and you'll have a black sabertooth cat and her baby!
