Seems to be a new rare mob added for the expansion. He can be found up on the path leading to the cave at Grizzlepaw Ridge in Loch Modan. He didn't drop any loot, which just could mean he's bugged ATM in the beta, but he did give over 2.3k experience (while rested).

found him lvl'n my gnome priest 410 hp easy to kill but i think its pretty cool how these new rare spawns arent all 85...... =P

I just defeated this guy on my way to do WANTED: The Dark Iron Spy and he dropped a Simple Robe but I didn't see that on the list of possible drops.

It was an interesting battle. I was half distracted when I saw him and thought he'd be a piece of cake. I hurled a Frostbolt at him and then WOOSH! He's behind me stabbing me in the back! Then the guy inflicts me with Drunken Haze! I really like these new Cataclysm mobs, they're actually interesting/entertaining!

I was flying over doing archaeology and this guy was rare so instakilled him. But now I wish I had followed him into the cave with the dark spy and seen if they were going to have any dialogue. o well, hopefully someone posts it.

I found this guy *just* as someone else killed him. Unfortunately, no one here seems to have left any clue as to how long a spawn time he has.

Found Him on my way to Get The flame of Loch Modan He dropped Infantry Tunic A nice lil Mail item. Pretty Funny as at the time, I had 2 Fiery Weapons an he had a tiny Fiery Dagger an I wooped him heh. Gave me a Chuckle. Said To Him.

"My Shinny Flamey weapons are way better then your wee Dagger buddy!"

Heh. fun fun.

Respawn takes less than 2 hours. Don't forget to check the nearby cave where Gorick sits at a fire. You can sometimes find a chest in there.

This guy ambushed me but he was realy worth the fight because he gave me alot of experience .He gave me a green but im not able to use it (Infantry Tunic of the Bear). He also gave me some cheese :)

Never seen this guy at level 8. The data must have been gathered by someone who was drunk at the time.

All of the 15 rare mobs found in the Loch Modan -zone have been listed below on this post ~~(including rare elites)~~ (rare elites no longer exist!). Hover your mouse over the link and you'll see the level and type (if it's a beast, it is tameable ). Each rare mob kill yields about as much experience points as a quest of an equal level. The kills in this zone are roughly around 1500-2000 XP.

P.S. I think it's great they introduced new rare mobs to old areas (they are old, no matter how morphed they are after the shattering!). Great surprises not just for newbies, but for experienced players as well.

I´ve been looking for him since I defeated him the first time, in the way to do the quest of the wanted dwarf in Thelsamar, but I´ve never seen him again since then. I wonder if you can only see him once in your life.
One strange fact is that from the kill, I got the Willow Robe of the Owl, which is not droped by this NPC ._.
