There are like 3 nodes of lichbloom close to these guys and it seems they have an unlimited aggro range or something. I wasn't able to solo the group of six of them as a level 77 hunter because they are all level eighty.

Decent place for rogues to pickpocket Runic Healing Potions. I found that I was getting 1 every 2 groups or so. Just watch out they change formation at random.

on my 79 unholy death knight tank i could solo the whole mob of these and possibly a few addons without dying, ending on about 1/4-1/2 hp most of the time. they hit very weak, about 130-200 and barely crit. they drop A LOT of money and frostweave.

Seems like these aren't linked with eachother. So you can use a ranged pull to kill them one by one instead of taking a whole mob down at the same time.

Seems these have a severely reduced drop chance for frostweave cloth. My percentage is 4% at the moment, and out of the last 4 groups killed I got exactly 1 frostweave cloth.

These "converted" ones effectively count as Scourge. So the aura of Scourge Banner-Bearers strengthens them. This also means you can kill converted heroes for the daily quest(s) to kill scourge for the tournament.

As a tank druid, I can kill a whole pack without taking any real damage. They hit for maybe 140 damage, most of which is absorbed by my Essence of Gossamer (good trinket to have around even if you've upgraded past it, keep it for an EH set or something) or by the occasional Savage Defense proc that doesn't get bugged off. Spam Swipe, Maul, and Mangle and they go down pretty fast. Shame Blizz nerfed all the drop rates on these things, seems Blizz was very careful to remove any AoE farming areas in Northrend.

I like this place as a AoE class. I take those packs easily and i've got lucky serval of times, you might get lucky on drops and you might get unlucky. I've found Je'tze trinket once there and my friend found it also there, so I really like that place. Any tanker with decent gear or a Balance druid with decent gear can take 1-2 packs at a time easily.:) I grind there around 1+ hour a day when I get bored.

Is it just me or is the Mortal Strike a new addition? I swear these guys never used it on me before the last maintenance. Makes them more deadly to me as a blood DK relying on easymode Death Strike healing.

Indeed, these mobs are now the focus of a Crusader daily; some easy info.

They are found wandering either singly or in packs north of the Conflagration. I generally pick them up after doing TFA/Citadel. They will look dangerously numerous, but they do not seem to obey normal aggro rules, and can easily be picked off and killed. A large enough gang of them can finish the quest in short order.

They're not just that easy as a prot warrior. Yes even as a prot warrior. They took half of my hp (with their flag carrier.). Even if i use shield barrier and block. But everyone knows druids are not good. Druids are GOD. They can do anything.

I find these really easy to farm as a holy/disc priest.

Just run into them, die and watch as your total death count goes up.

Have fun farming.

Edit: Did it in my PvP gear, disc spec, holy nova, no problem.

These mobs seem to be a call-back to the Fallen Heroes that spawn in the Plaguelands when a Blood of Heroes is looted. They both have the same Incapacitating Shout and Mortal Strike abilities

i can't find this damn mobs... i enabled quest helper and can't find them at the spot it takes me.. there are some mobs but none for the quest, killed plenty of those....

I tryed to AOE them as mage, but it is not able - coz they resist 1/2 of my spells on my 78 lvl mage + duration of chill effect on them is like 5% of normal duration :P

These are a Paladin grinders dream. Three packs is the golden number. Sometimes 4-5, but it can get rough unless you walk backwards.

1. Dive in on your flier at group #1 running tword group #2.
2. When you get to group #2, spam Hand of Freedom and then consecrate as you run to group #3
3. Consecrate again at group #3 and let them have a facefull of Holy Wrath.

I recommend getting the Wrath Glyph (even though HW is damage capped it will still be a good deal of DPS and the stun is valuable for CC) and Guardian's Favor if you grind these mobs often. Dont forget your Figurine of the Colossus, it still kicks ass. ;)

Anyone having issues with these? I've killed- I dunno, at least 30? of these guys, in various spots, and not one has counted toward the quest so far; still says zero killed.

As rogue with avg item level 200, I was able to fan of knives a pack down w/o using evasion, but I got very low on health. With evasion, it was very easy.

You can loot a Avool's Sword of Jin from them. I just did 5 minutes ago. 4/10/10

Easily farmed for lots of Frostweave Cloth in addition to around 250 gold an hour (if greens and trash are vendored ((not sure about disenchanting))) Im using a warlock hitting 4 of the enemies with Seed of Corruption then activating it with a shadowflame, tanking is with a Voidwalker so i have nearly 0 downtime <3 Health Funnel

As a shadow priest I've found this to be one of the most lucrative areas to AoE grind.

Shield up, Mind Sear the middle guy whilst body pulling and after 3 mind sears they're all dead but your target.

Shield up again, DoT him up and loot the rest whilst waiting for him to die.

Dispersion to get your mana back and on to the next bunch.

20 minute run = 60gold (from cash and vendored drops) and around 60 frostweave cloth.

I can make about 400g an hour killing these as a Hunter. Simply misdirect to your pet, and volley them down. When they die, cast mend pet and use aspect of the viper for mana while looting. A tenacity pet is highly recommended. If you have the two piece tier 5 bonus your pet shouldn't need any healing.

Being a rather wealthy 80, looting these guys didn't seem important. But the amount of Frostweave that drops should be noted.
I don't always loot mobs, but when I do, I prefer Converted Heroes.

I have a lvl 85 demonology warlock and just spent about 15 min or so farming for frostweave here, and got about 60 pieces, seems like the best spot to farm frostweave, since blizz changed the drops or removed them completely from the other mobs that dropped lots of frostweave

I did run into the middle of groups whenever possable and used AoE on them

The coin drop from these monsters were nerfed a while back. Basically they drop anywhere between 3-15s. While other mobs in icecrown drop over 20s+. I suspect their loot table has been "lowered" as well.

Sorry, edit to correct the mob money drop. They actually only drop somewhere between 3-15s.

As a level 84 combat rogue, I had no problem with the mobs of converted heroes. I didn't even need to stealth. I keep blade flurry activated and then just used sinister strike, but there was no point in trying to build up combo points due to how fast the individual enemies die. If you don't feel like taking the time to singly cut out each one, just use fan of knives and killing spree. Without using recuperate, I averaged at about 50% health after every mob and picked off the loners while my killing spree cooled off and my health came back.

The drop rate's about 50% and there are a lot of spawns. It's my favorite place to farm so far.

These guys seem to have a rather large leash range, so it is easy to pull 3-4 packs at once and AoE them down. Keep in mind, that any more than 3 packs at once on a Mage with less than 100k HP will usually end up with you being quite dead, as I just found out.

NOT good mobs to farm frostweave from, despite what the frostweave post tells you. Killed 9 packs on my druid, swiping them twice to kill them all in 2 seconds.

For a second I though they had removed frostweave from these guys loot table till I got two of the last mob I looted. I got more soloing H Violet Hold for leather!

Yeah... moving on.

Just a reminder: I do not have cloth scavenging - it would be a lot more without it. And if anybody's interested, I got 26k XP out of that little adventure... 0.65% of a level.

Commonly killed for their Frostweave Cloth, but these are also a good source of " Test Your Strength ", fairly easy to kill and farm, their spawn timer is a bit slow but their numbers are large consisting from : 8 - 9 Heros PLUS the Scourge Banner Bearer.I can say as a Twink 80 frost DK, 2-3 Howling Blasts ( On the middle Hero in the line or when they all clump up ) will kill them all for sure, that is if you have 7 K + AP. These units are NOT KITABLE! So getting any slow effects in your talents are wasted points, I've tried kiting... Immune. If you are any other class(I suppose) you should not get in melee range or you will be killed fairly quickly as an 78-80 even if your a twink, kill them fast! They use a shout that Reduces your movement speed allowing them to catch up to you no problem and use Mortal Strike that reduces healing by 50% Don't try farming these thinking it will be a breeze if your 78-80, 81+ can kill these more easily because of their health-pool My dk has 40 K unbuffed and came out as 5 k after thinking melee combat will be easy. Happy Farming and rate this up if it helps you.

With only about 12k health and wandering around in packs of 7, these guys are pretty decent fodder for Frostweave farming. I'm coming away with about 200 cloth after about an hour and a half on a non-tailor.

Ok for those farming for Frostweave cloths since farming Converted Heroes I've learnt a few things:

Converted Hero Drops 1-4 Frostweave
Drop rate for Frostweave as of Cata is no longer 47% but pry closer to 14% assuming my math is right.

Per pull (7 converted hereos in a group) I got 2-7 Frostweaves the average was about 3

At level 85 (tried this on an 85 DK, druid, and mage all with similar results) each pull took 2-3 seconds, 8-10 seconds to loot, and 6-15seconds to fly to the next group so in total 16-28 seconds per group. Now since their are 3600 seconds in an hour that means you can do roughly 128 pulls in one hour and since we know that we get roughly 3 Frostweave per pull that means we can get roughly 384 Frostweave in an hour.

Now depending on your server you can turn around and sell these for 60-100g a stack on my server the run about 70g (I'm not farming these to sell though but to level my tailor). So 384 divided by 20 x 70g = 1344g an hour plus any vender trash and silver you picked up along the way. =)

Please up-vote to save people on reading and farming these expecting a 47% droprate!

It might just be me or could be a bug also possibly an anti farming fix that Bliz has put in but does not seem to work on these mobs. Could be because they are not linked but makes farming as a lock (lvl 80) a bit of a pain.

I'm an 87 Shadow Priest with fairly decent gear for my level and I was pulling these with after 2 hours of Farming I had 507 pieces of 霜纹布 and at 400 Tailoring which the following buff / spell 布匹搜寻 in effect.

This is WITH the Crossrealm zone in effect here.

Pretty sure blizzard nerfed the drop rate for Frostweave Cloth on these guys. It doesn't seem nearly as amazing as I remembered it being when I was out here a few months ago.
