Immune to Stun and Silence, but his spells can be interrupted and you can disarm his weapon.

Hits for 1-2k on plate, Frostbolts and Whirlwinds for the same. He likes to Frostbolt repeatedly while he Whirlwinds to ensure you stay in range.

Just soloed him as a lvl 80 Unholy Death Knight, in blood presence with about 2000 AP, 19% crit, and about 20-25% avoidance.

It's possible to 2-man him, as a tank+healer. Doesn't hit very hard, and the blizzard can be moved out from. 252k HP.

A feral druid's Savage Defense proc is NOT consumed by his whirlwind but absorbs each hit. Probably a bug they will fix once they see this lol

Soloable quite easily as unholy tank DK,the only issue is his wirlwind combined with sadrifangs breath,need to pop icebound fort if DS runes are on cd

Solo'd as enhancement shaman (80 + pvp gear)
Just use all ur instant MW procs for healing urself when wolfs arent up and keep urself above 50% hp. U can Ghostwolf away from Bladestorm and grounding totem the frostbolt.

Very easy soloable as demo lock lvl 80 using 30/41. Let voidwalker tank and keep up only CoA and Corr, avoid blizzard and health funnel.

Soloed as an Elemental shaman with ~4700 gs. I let my Earth Elemental tank him pre-Arthas, keeping it healed as necessary and being sure to keep my aggro below it. I dropped Stoneskin during the Lich King's speech and popped heroism and burned him down after that, tossing up healing way whenever my health hit 50%. Managed to down him before heroism expired.

Solod as a frost mage in s6-s7 pvp gear don't make the same mistake I did and pop second set of cds right before lich king interrupts.

Keep ward/barrier up every cd make sure you use deep freeze on fingers of frost the damage is huge.

Don't go through the slow patches keep him kited and stall.

I used all cds coldsnap mirror image and had to stall for another set of image/ele/veins. The images/ele tank insanely well because he does a ton of aoe damage. On your second ele pop it then go invis so it gets agro then back to max range before plowing damage into him.

Soloed as a Level 80 MM Hunter.
Died first time because he slowed me several times and I couldn't get away from him.
Tried again using the Fate Rune of (Whatever makes you move faster).

Started by Applying Mend Pet right away, and kept it up for the entire fight.
MD to Pet
Srp. Sting (Macro'd Kill Command)
Chimera (Macro'd Silencing shot)
Aimed Shot
I managed to get an Arcane shot in as well before MD wore off
Reapplied Mend Pet
Did basic Rotation until I pulled threat. He was about 60%.
Dropped Immo. Trap and Snake Trap before Disengage.
He Dropped a Whirlwind then.
When he caught up to me (which he did, he slowed me with Frostbolt) I popped Deterrence before running away far enough to Hit him with a Chimera Shot which at this point brought him to 50% causing the Lich King to interrupt the fight.

I bandaged immediately-- the interrupt caused "Recently Bandaged" to be dropping off as soon as the fight resumed. Repeated what I did for the first 50%, however I had to Feign Death to drop my Threat before I could- it was not dropped in the interrupt.

Rather difficult due to the slows preventing proper kiting.

Solo'd as balance druid, 4,7k gs.

1. Pre-hot with Regrowth and Rejuvenation.
2. Reapply hots whenever he casts Frostbolt and they are about to run out.
3. Nuke
4. ?
5. Profit!

Protip: During the cutscene you can go make yourself some tea or coffee.

If you are trying to solo this, the runes you can buy from the bone witch help immensely. The movement speed one is great for casters.

To solo as a (destruction) lock:

All you have to do is having your voidwalker tank him while you kill him with dots.
You voidwalker will take quite some damage, but you can easily outheal it with health tunnel.
Put down a demonic circle somewhere and stay in range. Whenever he jumps on you, teleport away from him. He will also sometimes do how whirlwind after a jump, if from some reason you can't get away fast enough, use your voidwalker's sacrefice.
When you see him casting Blizzard, just run sideways so you will dodge it if it hits near you. If it hits your voidwalker, move him closer to you, away from the blizzard.

It took quite some time to get him down with dots, and it seems like you eventually can just hit him with desctruction spell without getting much aggro.

Time consuming, but possible.

Solo'd as a Shadowpriest with a 2424 gearscore (fresh 80).

Make sure you get the rune that gives you 5% less dmg taken. Open with your Shadowfiend, dot him up with SW:P and DP and when he gets close, use your Powerword: Shield, Prayer of Mending, and Renew. If you get dangerously low, fire up those spells again then immediately use Dispersion. Just maintain your dots and run from him (while staying out of the frost traps) and let your Shadowy Apparitions do the dirty work .The goal is to get him to 50%, at which point you get a breather. If you pull it off correctly you can get 2 Dispersion & Shadowfiend casts a piece. Occasionally you will get hit for huge dmg, in these cases Flash of Light + Renew. Happy Questing

Solo'd this at 4 AM as a 79 Prot Paladin.

Used Dev. Aura, Seal of Insight and threw in a Divine Light when his whirlwind hit me pretty bad. Other then that it's Avenging Wrath on cd, Divine Protection, one Divine Shield, Word of Glory, blablabla.

Soloed as a 79 feral dps druid. Very hard as I was not expecting tanking. Hence my spec. Down after 5 attempts.

Fight was mostly kiting and healing up:
- Travel form his frostbolt to get away and rejuv and lifebloom.
- Kept moving even when he didn't cast anything just to be ready for Blizzard.
- Kept Demoralizing Roar up at all times.
- Since I always moved out of range when he started casting Frostbolt, his Whirlwind was never a problem. You need to be far away by the time he casts it.
- The leap was rather nasty when he caught me in caster form once, other than that he was too far to cast it.
- Also... what the hell was up with that frost on the ground? That wasn't in his abilities...

Consumables used:
1x Adventurer's Journal which conveniently gave me Deadly Drive
1x Succulent Orca Stew
1x Runic Healing potion,
2x Fel Blossom.

Now if I could just explain to myself why I would be doing this at freaking 4 in the morning...

Jotunheim is a mountainous area in norway. jotunheim means "Mountain of the giants" in old norwegian. Balargarde would then be one of the giant lords that according to Norwegian mythology was living in theese mountains.

Solo'd as a level 79 Retribution Paladin, easy enough. Shade of Arugal was a harder fight.

But he still hurts, or atleast his Whirlwind does. Move AWAY from him why he is casting it, he is slowed and can't catch up to you while channeling it. When he's done, move back in.

I had to heal a lot, but didn't pop any bubbles and he went down pretty quickly. I like it when quests are actually challenging!

There is a cut scene when he gets to 50% health. The trouble is that at level 120, one normal hit takes him down to 1 health, then after the cut scene he disappears. I attacked him with a fishing rod down to 50% then attacked as normal after the cut scene.
