Baron Rivendare DESERVES this promotion after driving so many people to quit the game due to his refusal to drop his horse, but his willingness to give them his sword as a consolation prize.

He doesn't need a new model/reskin, he was in WoW and in the WarCraft lore before Blaumeux and thus she needs a reskin, possibly just putting her on Mograine's warhorse would be enough.

Also - Rivendare shouldn't be changed from the other deathknight models, most of them were changed in naxxramas (although a couple outside didn't which is fine since it is the standard deathknight model).

Anyone know if his hat/mask shares the same skin with any other armor in WoW? I'm pretty sure it's the hands down coolest looking mask in the game.

The Four Horsemen are originally an allusion of the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse - Biblical characters that appear in Chapter 6 of the Book of Revelation. The Four Horsemen are named Pestilence, War, Famine and Death, and their respective horses have a specific color - White, Red, Black and Pale/Green.

Baron Rivendare is presumably War. His color scheme doesn't match, but he is succeeding Highlord Mograine, who was clearly War.

I'd say that Rivendare isn't actually one of the horseman but just a substitute. At least, with the way how they just threw him in there, it might as well have been a ghoul on some rabid donkey.

I dont understand why they replace Mograin with Baron Rivendare, I mean the same day I killed him in stratholme (for the mount) I went to naxx and killed him THAT MAKES NO SENSE, So why not make a new horseman

Well, it looks like this is not the Baron Rivendare from Stratholme but insteed someone who stole a ring from him and then took his identity. This is from a book found inside the Heart of Acherus. "A gainless venture, working in Stratholme, except that I stole the bastard's signet ring. A modest forgery bearing the Baron's seal should see me comfortably inside the walls of Naxxramas."

For some reason, the minute I saw how similar this guy was to the classic Warcraft 3 Death Knights, he became one of my Idol DKs instantly,. Probably because his name is almost like the random generated hero names, like "Baron Frostful, Baron Bloodbane," etc

Anyway, its highly unlikely, but I hope blizzard includes this guy again somewhere, it did say he was a friend of Kel'thuzad's in life (On wowikki)

I bet the people who played Vanilla wow, and used to grind Stratholme for AD rep, are pulling their hair out, for seeing that Highlord Morgraine is replaced by a pancy ass nubcake DK, they used to grind 2-3 times aday, going "WTF dident i killthis guy like 150 times already, waaay wunt he stay ded!"

For the people that believe that Baron Rivendare in Nax is an imposter and the author of On Stratholme:

The book itself implies that the author is forging a letter of recommendation from the Baron. A signet ring is used to create a seal for letters to verify their authenticity. The author says with a quick forging and using the seal he can get a spot in Nax. He is faking a recommendation letter not impersonating the Baron. The signet ring is used to make the letter appear legitimate. If he was going to impersonate the Baron he would need a lot more than a ring.

does someone know what causes the fight to sometimes reset when they are all dead? they will just respawn and the chest doesnt appear
