Blizzard is getting creative with vendors in Wrath of the Lich King apparently.

In Ebon Hold Corpulous,an abomination,sells Food and Drinks. And a Ghoul,Fester,sells Trade Goods.

As for this guy's origins, I think it's safe to say that this is an enchanted tree who plucks fresh fruit off of his head and sells it.

Someone should name his druid similar and make a guild "fruit vendor".
Edit: just checked, yes you can create a character with this name.
Edit #2: I used to have a druid with this name on Illidan, but its kind of useless now that you can't sit in treeform all day and pretend to be a vendor.

When you run past Applebough in Dalaran in Legion alpha, while wielding Ashbringer, he will toss you a Shiny Red Apple.

When I ran by him while weilding G'Hanir, he tossed me a Laden Apple.
"Applebough notices G'Hanir and tosses you a fresh apple!"
