You can grind these mobs indefinitely. As they are in the horde village itself, it's a great spot for semi-afk grinding. They have no special abilities and they do not assist eachother.

For hunters, your pet can NOT attack them forcing you to kite them

While killing these mobs for the quest, I pickpocketed a Dawnstone from one of them. I'm not sure if you can get rare gems from just anything with "pockets to pick," but it was a pleasant surprise.

Since I use pickpocket fairly often, and have never found a rare gem in this way before, I'd say that they are very...well, rare when pickpocketing.

if ur a hunter and u mark them, u can see them when u take the glasses off, but then they become friendly and u cant attack them :(
