Nuramoc has around 103K hits and was hitting a 69 Warrior in good tanking gear for around 500 average. Has a poison spit and chain lightning. Not all that hard of a kill with a decent group. Sorry about not having a screenshot but in the heat of the battle I failed to get it.

Wasn't all that hard. We fought him with 2 level 69 warriors, a 70 druid, 70 rogue (myself), and a 70 mage. Has a decent chunk of HP and hits rather hard.

His poison bolt appears to be a single target bolt. He'll turn around when he spits and will then go back to the tank. Use a priest healer if you can, you're gonna need some quick heals. Other than that, just DPS him down, he's pretty standard.

Dropped some nice blue leather leggings:

243 Armor
+31 Agility
+47 Stamina
+63 Attack Power

Yeh he's not too bad. We were a group of 5 ranging from 68-69. Warrior tanked, 2 Druids healed (Abolish psn) Warlock and Hunter DPS'd. He can be a bit of a pain, but none the less tank and spank. Keeping abolish poison up on group members helped... make this easy by bringing a Shaman along for poison removing totems.

We took him down with 3 70's a Warrior a Priest and myself a Hunter. It was fairly simple I noticed he hits you for 45 or so nature dmg everytime you hit him, his poison spit dot also stacks the lightning bolt that he has can be stopped via silence shot, shield bash, kick, etc and should be done every chance you can. Also the warrior skill Shield reflect also works very well. The mob himself has 104k hp does 2000-2800 melee dmg unmidigated the poison seemed to be hitting between 1300 - 1600 and I'm not sure how hard the Lightning bolt hit for prolly just as hard.

This guy is not a hard solo for a hunter. He stops frequently to try and spit his poison and if you can get out of range before he finsihes casting its not difficult to kite him (esp with range talents). The only annoyance is each time you hit him you get struck with about a 50 damage hit no matter how far he is. So its best to do damage with stings and traps. He has aoe poison that will fry a pet in seconds.

Toughest part is simply picking a route to take him along. The roads are usually the best choices for this.

Killed him twice so far, one resist drop and one 'of agility' leather legs.

First time done with L70s - druid, shadowpriest (me), arms tank. Easypeasy.

Second time with 68 arms tank, 68 balance druid, 70shadowpriest, 70druid, went down smoothly even though we pulled 3 or 4 adds during the fight.

Easy loot.

Downed with a 70 rogue, 70 warrior, 70 mage, and 70 shaman. He dropped some plate pants with 968 armor and +132 healing and a level 68 requirement.

If you see him flying around the Area 52 island, he will patrol from just below the bridge to Eco-Dome Midrealm and follow the edge of the island south around leading to off-land south of Manaforge B'naar.

The best place to fight him would be near the bridge leading to ManaForge Coruu. (where the Nether Rays are)

Though be warned, if you try to pull him while on the bridge he will sometimes bug into the bridge.

Ha, funny story. Flew too close and aggro'd then immediately acsended, deaggroing. Somehow he kept following me though, like a pet. So I went over to show the group at the TK hearthstone and he aggro'd them and raped every last one! Haha, all you could see in chat was them yelling "WTF? WHO PULLED THAT!?!". Gooooood Times...

Dude's a pushover. 3 rogues, an enchancment shaman and a shadow priest took him with absolutely no difficulty. Decent leather legs "of the Bandit" too, so not a bad reward for minimal effort.

yes indeed he is bugged now since i found him at the scrap field close to manaforge b,naar and tried to kill him. But he is unhitable, cant move and has a grey health bar.

As a BM Hunter on the WOTLK Beta, I am actively trying to tame him and test him out. However, after going around his 3 spawn points for an hour, I just gave up.....as a rare-spawn...WHAT IS HIS RESPAWN TIMER?

Just tamed this. Easy to tame.
Also, in PTR, the Evade bug is gone. I FD'd 3x and no problems at all.

Looks nice if you BW also ;)

I just soloed him as a lv 70, T5 prot warrior... was easy as cake.

I landed on the bridge at 44.76,and i pulled him from the air. It took him a few sec to land and start attacking me... he doesn't hit that much.

Very easy to solo.

He spawns on the bridge from mana forge coruu. Just tamed him right opposite mana forge duro. Took me about 2 hours of patrolling the his route. He does look totally cool. Good luck and happy hunting :)

I just tamed him as well. Northern edge of Manaforge Duro. :) Easy tame when you find him, he doesn't hit for too much (especially if you're in pvp gear and have stamina stacked).

I have waited for him for 3 days since new patch up. Total time 16 hours+. And finally got him. I died once because the nearby mobs aggro, I couldn't kite him because there are so many hunters looking for him, so I have to tame him no matter what. I was worried when I failed the first time.

Anyway, he stays in sky, so my ice trap doesn't work on him. Got 2 Netherray attacked on me and himself ranged me. Finally, I got him, and I died again.

Total 16 hours+ on roaming around 3 spots, 10G for repairing.

I am Carsaadi, on Thorium Botherhood.

If people tamed him please say where you tamed him not just that you did. I'm trying to figure out where he spwans the most because its hard to run between 3 spots. It sounds like Duro is the most common place for him to spwan so far.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Just tamed him, couple mins after that post north of Area 52, The only thing I dont like about him so far is that he fly too low and he fly inside your characters, he should have his height adjusted so that he fly above your character.

I really wanna tame this guy and I have a few questions.

How high does he fly? Is he near the ground or does he fly as high as the bone dragon out side Auchindoun?

There is ofc a lot of bull$%^& here but if you filter it through you find some interesting facts about taming this pet.

Respawn time: Longer then 12h. Around 24h after another hunter got it I found it, I were not looking all the time but other hunters were active and we discussed it a lot. This kind of respawn timer goes for all the "rare elites" in outlands almost, atleast the dragon at ogrila. They have a pretty random and are VERY hard to get on high/full servers.

I found him at 36,78 but had low mana so I followed him over to 23,79. Around there he took off towards the sky and I didn't want to risk him despawning/ flying away so I pulled him there. Very easy, just clicked tame pet and after a while he was mine. Your best bet is to go right after server resets and rare-elites often spawn then.

Most likely he spawned at around 45,71 and moves westward, how he then get to (if he does) to the other locations given on wowhead is a mystery to me.

Track Beasts & /tar Nuramoc macro and a load of patience are your best friends here..

I tamed Nuramoc today after 5 days of patiently waiting. Here's my info.

He's on a 24 hour spawn timer. On my server, at least, he seems to pop up at the 6 or 7 PM server time hour. I was waiting northwest of manaforge coruu, and my boyfriend waited above Manaforge Duro. He spotted Nuramoc above Manaforge Duro at 7:00 on the dot, and I rushed over.

We messed up the first time, because his paladin kept hitting the mob, and thus breaking the tame, and my mana was drained fast. By then the mob had him on aggro, and would break the tame to hit him. By the time we got things sorted out, we were both dead. It was a very quick run to corpses, and we rushed over to where Nuramoc flew to (he flies very fast! He was almost at Eco Dome Midrealm by the time we got to him again) and I tamed him that time.

Others have told me they've found him spawning at the bridge northwest of Coruu, and I've seen a lot of reports of his spawning at the bridge above Duro. In any case, try looking around 7 PM Server time, if he's got a similar spawn time across all servers. Hope that helps! Happy taming! He's a very beautiful pet.

Let's talk about spawn timers for a minute. I've trying to find this npc for a few days myself without luck. My question for the post above me is this: What evidence do you have that supports the claim that he is, in fact, on a 24 hour timer? And, did you find him at 7:00 am ST or 7:00 pm ST?

The other question i've been pondering is this: Is the respawn time a global one, as in does it happen at the same time all the time OR is it based upon when he was last killed? For example, let's say he's on a 4 hour timer. Will he spawn at the same times throughout the day or 4 hours from when he was last killed?

I've read several different theories on spawn timers, especially for this certain npc that very few have found and very many seem to be searching for. GRATS to all hunters who have found and tamed him! good luck to the rest of you and myself who are still looking. If anyone can offer any further insight on the issue please do so.

Tamed him half an hour ago (around 8.00 server time) at 34,31 on my hunter.Easy tame despite the surrounding adds.Looks like he is on 24h timer because i barely missed him yesterday when another hunter tamed him in front of me around 7.30 server time at 44,76.I also suspect that when he finishes the patrol on 1 route he despawns and spawns at the other route (but that i cannot confirm, i just figure this is happening after chatting with the aforementioned fellow hunter that tamed him before me).Best of luck getting him,its really worth the hassle,beautiful pet.

I'm actually thinking about just taming a white/blue chim from Winterspring... in the time i've spent looking for Nuramoc I could have done that and levelled it to 70. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aside from the initial stat difference between having a lvl 65 pet and a lvl 70 pet, all abilities and attributes come out even in the wash between pets of the same "species" once they are 70, whether you tame an elite or exotic pet or not, right?

All I know is one thing for certain, which is that I've spent many hours looking for this elusive beast. At any rate, I appreciate everyone's input!

I just caught this at 7.30am server time on proudmoore server. I was in the air right above the bridge between coruu and arklon ruins wen i suddenly entered combat from behind. Must be on a 12 hour timer at 7.30 server time.

Would people be kind enough to mention what server they are from, and if they are european or US servers, that much as far as times tamed are concerned would be very helpful I think. Some of you have mentioned, some of you have not....also would you take a moment and mention if you are horde or Alliance. I see a theme atm, it seems to be mostly, not all, alliance making the tames of this beast. I have yet to see mention of a Horde hunter getting it. I think b/c there are different time zones, I'm not convinced yet of a "global timer" for this mob, reason, I've been camping him for 7 days now, not seen him yet on Hydraxis, US server, no mention of him between alliance or horde. I'm starting to wonder if our server is heavily glitched b/c I'm not the only one camping this thing daily. I do believe however it's is very close to a 12hr or 24hr spawn timer. But agian not conviced of it yet, someone posted on a site it was 4hrs between the kill they saw and him/her taming it, soooo not sure what to think at this point. Is it possible that it just spawns whenever and you just need to be in the right spot when it does? I do agree however with the 3 different spawn locations, that would make a lot of sense given the information that has been posted on sites. Just a thought.....good grief I wish he'd just spawn already, sick of wasting time searching when it seems so fruitless, unless you got 2 or more people, helping you, like that lady and her bf/hubby....that is a huge advantage if you ask me. >.o

Honstly this guy is really not worth the effort. He looks really cool and since I've tamed him I haven't gone more then 30 mins a without having at least one person whisper me and tell me how cool he is and ask where I got him.

There are a few downsides to this pet, I don't know how he works with everyone else, but I am a Tauren and here is what I noticed.

1. He flys way too damn low. He barely skims the ground it seems like he has the same problem the companions had from SMC when they first came out.

Because he flys so low he always flys inside/overlaps with my character and after a while this becomes very annoying to me. Like all the other exotic pets issues still have to be worked out on him because he IS bugged. I noticed a lot of the time the animation is completely wrong when he is attacking and sometimes he fails to attack at all he just stands there and does nothing, at other times he attacks when he is on Passive move.

I've talked to a Game Master about this and he confirmed these are some issues with the exotic pets because they were never originally designed to be pets. He said they are working on a resolution to the problem but as usual there is no time frame on when a patch will be released to fix him.

Possibly the most annoying part about this pet is the fact that he flys inside your character (at least if you are a Tauren) and when you try to attacking something or loot something in front of you, you end up clicking his wing instead, and you have to swing around and try to get youself into a position where you can actually loot without clicking his wing.

If they changed his flight path and made it a little so he flys above your character it would not be so bad.

For the time being I have put him in the stable and dont intend to use him anymore until these issues are resolved. I'll stick with Humar.

The nice thing about him thought is I am on an extremly high population server and I am probably the first person to ever tame him, given the fact I have never seen anyone else with him and the extremly large number of whispers I get about him, no one on my server even seems to know anything about him. I've never seen another person hunting him. I've whsipered to several hunters hanging around that area asking if they are looking for him, and they have no idea who he is.

Does anyone know if he follows a linear path when he spawns, or randomly glides around. I don't get to spend hours camping but when i get time i like to make passes over known locations, IE Humar

Edit: I saw him today but as luck as it... 5 minutes AFTER another hunter found him... she found him on the south run but i forgot to ask if he was wandering randomly and at what rate of speed. Also.. why is Area 52 marked?

well, on Doomhammer, I have done an 8 hour camp, an 11 hour camp and am currently on hour 15 of my third camp. I don't think he spawns on my server.

Just tamed Nuramoc at 2:15AM Boulderfist (US) server time. Spawned at bridge next to Arklon Ruins. I camped the bridge area for about 35 minutes, but had flown the patrol paths for about 1.5 hours. Based on this, definitely recommend camping the bridge. I'm a blood elf (Horde).

Showed up on Track Beast, easy to notice because he flies fairly quickly. Easy tame--didn't pop any potions, just had on PvP gear (season 1, couple of season 2) and Aspect of Monkey. My HP: 10288, got me down to about 5500 health before tamed.

*Edited to address cattracks' post: Flew in linear path, started flying westward from spawn point at Arklon bridge. Flight speed comparable to flying mount (~60% I think, maybe faster). Good luck!

I tamed him this morning on Zul'jin (North American server) at about 6:50am Eastern (server time). It was around 34,77 south of Area 52.

He flies very fast for a patrolling mob. My first attempt to tame him, just west of the bridge, got to about 5% left before he got tired of me and evaded. I bandaged up and chased him farther west to directly south of Area 52 and was successful on my second attempt.

As with most hunters in this thread, we really didn't want to risk following him too long to map out a detailed path and lose him to another hunter. But the path he traveled on for me matched the dots on the map in that area on the map above. The only uncertain thing is whether he stays in one of the 3 areas until killed or tamed, or if he despawns from one area and reappears in another area regularly.

Since I have him now, I may try to find him again and follow him for awhile and see. If he is truly on a 24-hour spawn clock, he should show up at around 7am-ish tomorrow on Zul'jin.

hey guys i got this pet a few days ago after camping him for awhile......what i found out about him while i was camping him was

1 he has around a 8 hour spawn timer

2 he will spawn and pat around Only 1 of the 3 zones he spawns in....(wont leave that path) so ur gunna wanna watch all 3 zones (or like me have friends camping 2 spawn points while u camp the other)

also on my server i got alot of reports of seeing him around 11am to noon server....and alot at 7-8pm (thats also the time i found and tamed him at)

i hope this info helps other hunters trying to tame him

also...alot of people are after him for the Medium Rare Achievement ( http://www.wowhead.com/?achievement=1311 ) as well as to just tame him....so for hunters looking for him keep in mind some people will see and kill him on the spot for that......really sucks i know but nothing can be done about it =(

I'm in line with Sojourner from Doomhammer, I'm starting to think he doesn't spawn on my server either, going on 8 days of camping and still nada! I hope he does, but I'm starting to lose hope. That long and not 1 person, not 1....has seen him, be it to tame or kill? Starting to hate this server b/c of that, lol It's like tons of other realms have seen it, killed or tamed it. Mine, idk.....somethings not right with that. Should of at least been killed by now. And if this suckers a MEDIUM rare, I'd hate to see what Blizz is calling a hard rare! Good grief! Again, here's to hoping....but I think I'm going to give up soon b/c this is just out of control.....8 days! Beyond frustrated now...

Heck, me and the hunters on my server have been searching so long we have developed a support group. first one to tame is going to let everyone else know when and where. That entire zone is being covered 24hrs a day.

I got the little punk at about 7:10pm ST on Onyxia. I was at the bridge next to Arklon Ruins and he appeared, after I waited there from about 6:45pm ST. I was seconds from finally giving up after days of looking and poof, I see Nuramoc appear. Strange how some are getting a little earlier and some are seeing him later. I guess we should just say be there a little before 7am or 7pm ST and you should see it spawn.

On a side note, I would seriously say that Nuramoc looks about 100 times better than outlands green skin, and it is even more of an improvement over the regular blue skin. I hope blizz does not put this skin on other ones so that we who take the time to camp and track Nuramoc down can have a unique pet for the work. Then again I guess it would be near impossible on a really high pop server to ever get this pet so that would suck to be stuck with ugly ones!

On a last note, so far comparing my cat, ravager, devilsaur and Nuramoc for pvp, I like the devilsaur best by a slight amount. While Nuramoc and the like have the slow effect and ranged attack damage on top of that making them very helpful against the almighty Retadin and all melee, the Ironhide I have does make for higher crits and more dps. While not as useful against plate wearers, the devilsaur has worked better against everyone else that I have come across, although that could just be random luck. In battlegrounds, the devilsaur just rips people up with the monstrous bite stacking to 3 usually and the rabid up most of the time. Not theorycrafting here, just thought it was interesting how much damage the monstrous bite and rabid do. I gotta try a core hound now to get more input on them.

Ok guys, just an FYI about this guy. It would seem as though there is no real "set" spawn timer. I've read the posts and camped the sites, paid attention to the "guesstimated" spawn times and honestly, it seems to fall in the hands of luck here. The spawn coords are correct though. After camping and circling the spawn points for DAYS I finally had him spawn right on top of me at 34,31 by forge camp oblivion at 3:38p server time on Arygos. He almost killed me but I got him/her...whatever...now my guildies can have their leader back LOL.

Best of luck to everyone still trying to tame this one. It is beautiful...keep to the spawn locations...times don't seem to matter.

The thing people keep forgetting is there is no real way to establish a spawn timer until the realms are stable. When a server goes down everything resets. This doesn't mean that he will spawn but it does mean that it resets any spawn timer that was in effect. I tamed him this morning at 7:30 server time on smolderthorn at the northern spawn point.

I tamed him today at approximately 44, 72, at 2:00 PM server time on Draenor (US). I literally just popped in to check if he was randomly up, found and tamed him within 2 minutes of arriving in Netherstorm. I'd been checking several times a day for the past week. Not a difficult tame at all. I didn't get any adds (although several things aggroed me right after the tame completed). Wearing all Kara level purples (no PvP gear), he took me down to around half health or a bit lower. Nothing needed other than a straight tame.

I had killed him once a few months ago while leveling, so I knew that he existed and what he looked like in the world. Best of luck to everyone else!

Well, he has finally been seen on Doomhammer today at 3:49 server time. I fellow hunter was in the right place and got the tame. I logged in 10 minutes after and heard the news....groan.

I dont know but hes pretty rare, since I've tamed him 8 days ago, I've been checking around and still as far as I can confirm I am the only person on my server to have tamed him as of yet.

I have a 70 on horde and alliance and spend a lot of time in trade, and talking to other hunters. I still get whispers every few mins asking me where I found him, and the more people that see me with him, the more are going to try and tame him. Since I've been adding people to my friends list that ask about him and noticed that they are in that area a lot, so I know they are looking for him. Glad I got him before anyone knew what or where he was. When I got him there were no other hunters around all day, at least none that were camping him.

I can't wait to get the new rare cat that is in WOTLK!

If I find out more aobut him, I will inform you.

I tamed this awesome pet yesterday at 4:00 am server time on the Blackhand server. After reading the information in the posts here I decided to camp the bridge leading to Manaforge Coruu at location 44,76. I had been camping this spot for 16+ hours and was about to give up when I see Nuramoc on track flying past me. It was worth the time spent and I am very happy. For those of you out there still trying to tame her, don't give up. Just be patient and it will happen.

im starting to lose it.. its been almost a week now and constant patrols is taking its toll.. im beginning to think that maybe i should just wait til wotlk to keep looking..

the closest i came to finding him was when i saw his dead corpse a couple of days ago, and ive come to the conclusion that it is complete luck if you find him.. i logged on and did patrols every 2 hours for 24 hours.. and i did not find him..

but people who have tamed/killed him, can you guys shed some light on how high he flies? etc. where he actually spawns from? because staying in netherstorm for hours and hours is killing me.. i really cant take much more..

Found him just north of Cosmowrench, I don't remember the exact coords, but I landed in Cosmo, mounted up and instantly saw him on the mini-map, he was flying west towards Mid-Realm.

It was a little shaky, I still had rez sickness from some South Shore Hallows End PVP the night before. Nuramoc got me down to about 5% before he was tamed. Whew!

just tamed him @ 2:25 ST on Blackrock US. just west of the Arklon Ruins bridge.

ok heres all the info people want to know who havent seen or tamed him yet..

he doesnt really fly that high, if uve been doing patrols around the area you would have seen Netherock wandering around, he probably flies a bit lower than that guys head.. so you dont need to be heaps high in the air..

he doesnt hit too hard, but hard enough, my hunter took bout half hp dmg.. i got around 12k hp and 400res, but that being said, i was so excited, i forgot to click the tame button for like 10 seconds..

i got sick of the whole going around to the different locations so i just stayed at the bridge at arklon ruins and played fifa / spammed a /tar nuramoc macro.. after 2 days i got him..

i think thats all you really need to know, if theres anything else, hit me up in game and ill see if i can help you out further..

Just a tip........If your looking for this mob for your Achievement as in killing a rare mob...Dont just wipe it for that...some people actually really want this dang mob and spend hours and days trying to get it...For example me...Ive spent 40+hrs now trying to get this pet despretly on Hellscream US server only to see it dead from some jerk who killed it for his achievement....Also not 100% sure on this yet but theres another hunter with this pet on my server which is chargeing 20g to duel his pet if you kill it you GET THE ACHIEVEMENT anyway...few people said he wasnt BSing...but something to think over before destroying it when you know hunters are looking for it....needed to put my 2 cents in on this....

Not sure how much this will help, but here is my experience.

Alll times are server times for Malygos.
MFC - Manaforge Coruu
MFD - Manaforge Duro

Yesterday @ 2:00pm, I started watching the 44.77 respawn point at the bridge by MFC. At 5:10 and 6:20pm I swept over by MFD and searched the area real quick then each time returned to 44.77. At 7:00pm there was a World Server crash. After getting logged back in, I searched all the areas for him, but did not find him. At 8:05, 9:07 and 10:02pm I again did a quick search of the area around MFD. Again each time returning to 44,77.

This morning I logged on @ 6:40am, still at 44,77. At 7:03am I again went over and searched the area around MFD then returned to 44,77. At 7:19 am Nuramoc flew over to my camping point at 44,77 from the direction of MFD. Looks like he came from over there.

I tamed him with about 1/3 of my health left to spare.

There seem to be 3 respawn points that I hear mentioned: 44,77 / 34,31 / 63,57. Considering this, it will be really hard to determine his respawn cycle since he can respawn at any of those points. I assume he will fly to the 3 different areas if not killed. I assume this, because he did not respawn and my camping point, and cam from the direction of MFD. So I assume he respawned over there and flew over to my spot.

Wonderful news, after 12 days of searching and waiting, finally with my Daughter at my side both times, I have finally tamed Nuramoc!
I am on Hydraxis US server, I'm BE horde. The first night I saw him finally (this past Wed night) my daughter was with me, we found him over at MFD at 6:30pm EST, near the pipes, bridge side....DEAD! I figured he had only been dead for about 2-3 min, body was still there (obviously) so I looked at the clock, said ok, I know what time, now it's just where will he respawn? So yesterday (Sat night) I set out to be in the area 30 min BEFORE I saw him last. Went to MFC 44.76 area, nothing, flew immediately to MFD....and there he was again! Couldn't believe my eyes, I was shaking, was so excited, nervous and happy! So I went to him, grabbed aggro, set down (first mistake) in the area of the Warp Chasers....the spot was sorta clear, but between trying to set the trash pet free, Nura hitting me....I was already at 1/2 health or less....then, stupid Warp Chaser popped up, and finished me off.
So I ran back immediately...popped, mounted up, flew in a fairly tight circle in same general area for what seemed like an enternity, and finally he came back in sight (I also strongly recommend the tatic /target Nuramoc).....grabbed aggro for 2nd time, flew to the pinkish pipes, still bridge side of MFD, set down, popped Major Fort, and set back to taming....(he will stay with you, if no one else is stealing him) after the painfully long 20 sec, he was all mine!
***I recommend the tatic of using the pipes in that area if you see him there....ur best, safest bet. ***
Finally, I just want to thank EVERYONE that has contributed to this posting, I used the tatics of other posters, /target, and pipes, those were used by others, your words have helped pretty much everyone else to tame....also, suggestion, talk to other hunters in the area on your server, I think that can be of great help, if you get the right person. I did the very thing and it helped me to get that much closer b/c she did know someone that had killed it that very day I talk to her.

I myself camped for Netherstorm for over a week, one day pulling a 12 hour watch on two characters. ( two machines ) mostly patrolling the three spawn locations.

Over the weekend I spent roughly 10 hours at the bridge to coruu. No dice.

Finally I gave up, deciding to camp overnight, as during the day nothing popped.

Nuramoc finally popped for me near the pipes north of Duro. I had seen 2 youtube videos of fights taking Nuramoc down at this location so had hoped to spot him here.

I would say I have spent about 50 hours in Netherstorm hunting this mob.

If you find him grab aggro by flying into him. Then land in a clear spot. ( If you can ) You need to be fast in this tame, don't screw around, EVERYONE is out to either tame him or kill him. Even at the time I tamed him, being at around 5:45 AM server time ( Nagrand Oceanic ) there was a Druid nearby grinding mobs.

The tame is easy. Any 70 without adds will easily tame him. 8-10k health is all you need. I had 13k as I am PvP geared.

Interestingly enough 15 minutes later the server was set to a rolling restart. I literally got him 15 minutes before the server went down. VERY lucky.

I had a targeting macro being

/target Nuramoc
/cast Tame Beast

you can spam this constantly, even during the tame and it won't break, so it's a one button solution, no messing about finding two buttons. macro it for peace of mind.

Solo taming an MC core hound was difficult, however you KNOW where they are. This is definately THE hardest mob in the game to tame at this time. It's a mark of a true hunter that gathers unique pets.

Don't give up to those that are still trying. My suggestion is to camp one spot and stick to it. The mana forges provide the safest places to tame as there are clear spots on the pipes near duro and north of the bridge at coruu where no mobs path. I however tamed Nuramoc on the ground as I was chasing him away from the pipes. ( He flys I would say a little lower than the pipes, and does not land. )

Good Luck, best looking pet out there, till I grab a spirit beast in wrath ;)

I've been trying to tame this menace since since the day after the patch and just got him this morning at 6:35am server time at location 60,60 on Blooscalp (I'm horde).

Instead of camping any one spot I just followed the paths shown on the wowhead map that Nuramoc patrols. After logging some serious flight miles he finally showed up on my mini map (track beasts) just north of Cosmowrench.

I tried to tame him three times, first two times warp stalkers aggroed and got me. After rezzing I was happy to see he did not despawn and kept flying between Cosmowrench and "The Scrap Field."

He hits hard but if you tame him at full health you should be OK. Good luck all and just keep looking (between 6am and 7am server time is best, not many people awake and looking).

After 6 days of camping finally tamed it on Jubei'Thos.
Found it at 60, 60 Netherstorm.

My conjecture is that Nuramoc has at least two parallel spawn timers. AND it is confirmed that each of these timers run for 23-24 hours...however, he can spawn more often than 23-24 hours, on the different spawn timer. eg. You kill Nuramoc today at that spot, he will spawn 23 hours later at that spot...but in the meantime he may spawn 8 hours after initial sighting somewhere else. yeah.. a little confusing, wish I could word it better, but I need sleep.

Was about to give up after camping for 24 hours once, dual boxing on Hunter and Warlock.

Those on Jubei'Thos that want the achievement please post me in game, I charge 50g :P.

I had to abandon my Molten Corehound ><. Will have to go back to MC and solo tame another one.

PS: To the Orc Horde Cohiba, be warned, I will camp the spawn site, and if I see you there, I will give you a hard time.

Been trying to get her since patch.
When i finally did find her and started to tame her a paladin came by and killed her ..
Couldn't kill the pally since he was my faction too go figure ...

So a week and half went by and i kept camping the bridge to no avail.
One day i hung at the bridge for over 18 straight hours when flying around with a hunter on a friends account... didn't see her

Then finally wednesday (day after i quit my job hurray!) at 2pm (server time, europe server Outland) I finally spotted her out of the corner of my eye and went after her with the speed of light.

I forgot to do all the normal things lay down frost trap etc.
I just flew in dismounted and started to tame her.

Now i bought all these green boe items from AH to get my stamina up and ended up with a little over 10k stamina. She got me to low health before i tamed her but still got her at first try.

She moves westwards at a pretty fast rate after she spawns and she was hovering above the ground when i cought her.

She truly is a gorgeous pet, so if you are still out there trying to get her, hang in there she's well worth it!

I also believe (from lack of others talking), that I may be the first on the server to tame him. I was even able to use the name (Nuramoc) for this pet. I figured, if somebody else had tamed him prior to me, then I may not have been able to use the name (as they might have used it)

Everytime I logged into the game, I was in Netherstorm. I did sessions of 4hrs, 9hrs...12hrs...even a session of 21hrs! I was determined to get him. I Mainly camped at the spawn point of Manaforge Coruu at location 44,76, as this seemed to be the most popular...according to posts I've seen here.

And when there wasn't many people in the zone (didn't want to risk having somebody else grab him while I was gone), I'd fly by the other 2 spawn points (34,31 & 63,57). I'd just woke up, went to bathroom, and thought I'd check and see if he was up. I'd been in the game for about an hour (at the bridge) when I saw only 2 other people in the zone. I figured, I'd go and fly by and see whats up.

Never thought anything would happen...hadn't b4 during the previous sessions. I found him at the 63,57 spawn point (approx 4:30 to 5:30 est/server time). I was just flying along when all of a sudden he was right there in front of me. Startled me...almost crashed my mount. lmao My heart was a thumping as I desperately tried to find a spot free of adds, to land and tame him. No sweat! Just be sure to have full health when you tame him.

Use the "Pins" on the map above as a guide for patrolling.

After spending so much time at just that one point (at the bridge), I'd reccommend camping one spot.....BUT...with somewhat frequent flybys of the other areas also. If I hadn't done my flyby....I'd not had him yet. Finally...I can go ellsewhere now. lol

Oh, as a note...I tested something I'd read about in the posts. People can get credit for the initial achievement (or for an element of the achievement, if you've already killed a different rare mob in the outlands) by dueling the pet. I was grouped with a guildie, when he dueled my pet. We BOTH got credit for it. I also tested it with somebody not grouped, and it worked also.

I'm just extremely happy that I've finally got him. =) I wish the rest of you the best of luck!

Finally tamed Nuramoc at 16:44 on The Scryers server. His pathing was just as people posted. He started to the right of Manaforge Duro about halfway between the manaforge and Eco-Dome Midrealm. Spawned right next to the pipeline. It was a serious challenge keeping up with him. Suprising enough though, taming was not an issue. His spells really didn't hit that hard and was spaced out enough to allow a good tame with little damage taken. Looks really nasty, in a good way of course, hehe.

To sum things up a bit:

He is not a 'road warrior'. I found him in the warp stalker area above manaforge Duro, and got killed by them at one point (resulting in panic from me). as far as I could tell he does a rather big figure 8 in the area.
He does not actually hit that hard. My hunter has less than 7000 hitpoints and survived the 20 second tame. It was closer than I liked though.
Some have suggested Aspect of the Monkey - I cannot see why this is useful, as he will rarely (if ever) go melee. Go for Aspect of the Wild, and you can resist the lightning breath he tosses at you.
Personally I don't care about spawn timers because no one will ever agree. I camped my hunter out in Netherstorm, and a couple of times a day I would log and then scan all three areas before logging out again. Lady Luck helped me out at 8 o'clock int he morning, November 2nd. I'm still high on adrenaline ^^

Good luck hunters, he really looks awesome. Off to test him out now.

Just tamed it on Quel'Thalas (5:35am). Very easy to tame, very hard to find... for those who like details, I found it roaming away from the road north of Manaforge Duro.

OK,

here goes.....

Managed to tame this guys after stalking him for 3 days. This is where I found him.....
I am on Dath'remar Oceanic sever, and the time was 6.16 pm ST time. I would feel this guy is on atleast a 8+ hr spawn time, I will try to confirm this shortly, as I have decided to complete the achievement Medium-Rare with this guy.

Nuramoc likes to travel pretty much in a straight line up and down, between the co ords 53.56 to 65.62. His altitude is quite high, and flies no faster than a normal flying mount. Nuramoc contiunally flies above other adds, pretty much in line with the Mana Forge Duro conduits. I HIGHLY suggest u make a macro for this guy, as warp stalkers, and mana drainers cover the map at times, when on tracking beasts, which he DOES show up on (if ur lucky). I did make some foolish mistakes in my frantic/rushed attempt to tame him, therefore dying twice :). Firstly, just because the ground looks clear, more than likely its not, 3/4 way through taming him, two warp stalkers decloacked and began to eat me, not pretty. Second time, in my haste not to let him despawn to another location, I rezzed and mounted at Cosmowrench and flew after him. I managed to land on the conduit ahead of him, free from adds, and began my taming ritual. However, I quickly forgot how hard he does hit, and the stacking effect of one of his poisons. I managed to run out health about 2sec from victory, because I was about 70%health(I am in mainly T4+ gear with 8.2k health). So, on my third attempt, Nuramoc was mine. All in all, the whole dying, taming exercise took about a couple of minutes, which I would suggest when he does spawn at this location, he does manage to fly atleast a few laps. I do recommend to land on the conduits to tame free from the other wildlife out there :)

**EDIT: I Watched Nuramoc Die from a Mage at 5/11/2008 @7.27PM ST near Mana Forge Duro, I Sighted and killed Nuramoc just a minute over 24hrs later @ 7.28 PM ST 6/11/2008 Near Mana Forge Curu Bridge: Therefore he is on a 24hr timer atleast, and seems to respawn at a different loc every 24hrs... will keep u posted

I have finally managed to find and tame Nuramoc on the Destromath server. I have been camping in Netherstorm for about 4 days (50+ hours). I was starting to lose hope after many hours of standing in the spawn areas and flying around, kept thinking to myself does Nuramoc really exist but i just kept at it. I was mainly flying around and checking 2 major spawn location (manaforge duro and Arklon ruins), this is where Nuramoc was spotted the most. Once in a while I would pop up and check the third spawn point at Forge Base: Oblivion. When I got tired of flying I stood at spawn locations (44, 76) and (66, 58).

Like posted on the previous posts a targeting macro is a MUST HAVE. Keep spamming it while your flying around.

At about 3 o'clock AM EST, there were a lot of Allies flying around and some even attacking me where I was standing (44, 76). So I decided to fly around, I few up to Forge Base: Oblivion and was on my way back down to Manaforge Duro. When suddenly the targeting macro picked up Nuramoc. At first I thought I thought it was a Nether Ray that targeted me because I was flying very low, but when I saw the silver dragon my eyes lit up. I knew I've finally found it. Location was (52, 59). A little advice for people who still have their broomstick from the hallowed even in October. Do not use the broomstick mount while searching for Nuramoc. I had trouble dismounting off of the broomstick while in combat. When I finally got off the broomstick i was down to 75% health. I quickly fired a shot to tagged him laid down a freezing trap and started to tame. You have to move back a little for Nuramoc to fly down into the freezing trap. 20 seconds later the beautiful beast was mine. It was an easy tame, just finding it was difficult. I will post a screenshot in a bit.

I just tamed Nuramoc at 2:15pm server time on Khaz'goroth (US/Oceania). Coordinates were roughly 34.4, 35.0.

It was pretty much the same experience as Nimea. I found his flight path to be more elliptical than linear though.

WOOT! Just tamed him on Illidan server at approximately 7:30ish Eastern time pm (6:30ish server time). I had been looking for him sporadically at the three places indicated on the wowhead map and ended up bumping into him while flying around. I got him at coords 34 27 .

It was an easy tame considering that he started attacking me while I was in flight. I had to take some hits before I could get to the ground, and there was obviously no freeze trap involved either. I have on season 1-3 mixed PVP gear. No potions or other flim flam necessary, just channeled tame and let him beat on me.

He is totally gorgeous and well worth the wings flapping in your way!

Nuramoc is a tough spawn to get. He has 3 spawn points spread out across the zone, 2 are in high traffic areas, and there's a bounty on his head from Achievement seekers.

However as I've always said about rare spawns (and I have a stable full of them) If you camp it, it WILL spawn.

It took me 2 weeks, but I finally got him. My advice to all Hunters looking for him is; Don't spend all your time in Netherstorm patrolling his spawns. That's what I did for my first week, and I came close to giving up. It's just so demoralising. What I advise is to just go about your game same as you usually would, just check his paths a few times a day when you get some spare time.

When you do find him, and I believe that if you do this for long enough, you will. Make sure you're ready. Have Aspect of the WIld on, have Tame Beast shortcut, or added to your actionbar, and I strongly support having a /target Nuramoc spammacro.

Onto the tame, I caught him at 0.25 server time on Runetotem EU byt the forge camps, which is my favourite of his spawn points as it has the least normal traffic. My macro picked him up and then I spotted him visually. Although he's in Netherstorm colours, he's a little brighter than you'd expect so he's not hard to spot.

I hear he flies fast, and I only have a standard flying mount, so I guess I got lucky as Nuramoc was flying toward me. He was flying a little lower than some reports have sugested so I was above him and divebombed through his flightpath to grab aggro.

I landed, popped my Battlemaster trinket for the extra HP, and threw my green Chimaera at Nuramoc to tag him and cement aggro. Sadly I landed too close to an Elemental so I picked him up too, and because all this happened in the space of 2 seconds I forgot game mechanics entirely, and FD hoping to lose the elemental, who, of course aggroed onto my pet who I promptly abandoned.

Now both Nuramoc and the elemental are on me. I toss down a trap and back up, snaring the elemental. I have around 70% health and 2 stacks of Nuramoc spit and I havent started channeling yet. I hit Tame Beast and get an 'Out of Range' error. I move forward and start sucessfully channeling.

I'm not sure what happened next, but I'd like to believe Nuramoc saw all my effort to get him and so went easy on me. He only spat at me once more, then flew in close like he'd run out of mana, but he didn't attack me very hard or fast. My real worry was when the trap set the elemental free as I didn't know if he had any stuns or knockbacks that could stop my channeling.

However, it all went well, and I put my purple pal to work straight away before speccing or food to kill that pesky elemental. I ended the Tame channeling with 25% health. I wear T4/T5 quality gear and have around 10k health.

I know this post is longer than it really needed to be, but personally, while I was camping Nuramoc (or any rare spawn) I enjoy reading other people's taming stories. Especially if they have a happy ending. So I add another one, hoping that someone will enjoy it while they wait on the spawn.

After running around with a Rhino for a bit I decided I wanted a better pet for PVE/PVP. Seemed like my Rhino didnt keep aggro real well and stampede is neat but not very practical.

Popped on my beast tracking and headed over to the bottom part of Area 52 and found him at around 27,80.

he moves extremely quick so I after getting killed by elementals I ran back, got on my mount and found him flying east towards the bridge. I caught up with him there at around 42,65.

I tamed him with less then 8K HP and died from his dot but tamed him nonetheless =).

He has a very unique skin and his lightning/ice breath attack means that you can slow mobs down for 5 secs every 10 secs.

This works great for running mobs =).

Oh I tamed him at around 4:35AM EST on Elune on11/24/2008.

As far as the respawn timers are concerened I didnt have to camp for him and got lucky on my first try.

It might be because everyone is questing in Northrend right now too I only saw 4 players who where in Netherstorm so if your a hunter and want this pet now might be the best time to try and get him since Numaroc is also part of a achievement so people are looking to kill him too.

I finally tamed this pet after looking for him for a long time. However, he doesn't hold aggro as well as my cat, so I think that I am going to have to stable him for now. >< And the wing in the way thing really is annoying. I wouldn't mind that so much if he held aggro better.

I found and tamed this guy at 7:56PM EST, server time north of Manaforge Duro. I started at about 6:00PM, so I'm pretty sure he had just spawned. I actually ran into him a few days ago, but I was 69. He does seem to stay in the pathing zone where he spawns, because when I ran into him before, he was still there after I made my corpse run.

Tamed it at around the same time as TheAtomicMan. Caught him on my warlock while flying around Netherstorm, then hopped on my hunter and tamed it west of Forge Base: Oblivion. Not extremely hard to tame, even though it's constantly spamming nature spells (Aspect of the Wild anyone?) and not getting within range of freeze traps. You just need to be patient long enough to see it; I know I've seen it at at least 2 of the patrol areas listed (most notably the one west of FB:O and the one northwest of Tempest Keep).

It's always flying in the air, and usually surrounded by tons of other mobs, but it pats near clear areas in all of its patrol paths (I believe so, anyway; it did for when I tamed it), so try to keep in one of those empty areas. It only took me a couple days of searching (but I'm on a low-population server, so that would explain it). Good luck to any aspiring to tame this beauty of a chimaera.

Okay, not sure if he's still all that hard to tame, but it took me 5 minutes, on Cenarious, just did it and he was at the northwest spawn area. Of course, since I'm in East Berlin at the moment, the server time was something in the mid morning. Happy New Year everyone, be safe!

I found this badboy on 02-01-2009 at somewhere between 4:45 ST, i managed to tame it at 4:58 ST.

I first saw it patrolling straight south of Area52, but i tamed it North-East of the bridge South-East of Area52

Happy Hunting! so worth it, with talent its breath has a 7sec CD, with 50% slow for 5 sec. that means if you throw in a Cuncussive Shot, your target will be slowed at all time. Great for PvP!

A complete pain in the rear for melee class to kill for the Medium/Bloody Rare achievement. I eventually got him down to the ground and clear of all the elementals at the Eastern edge of his loop south of Area 52. And it does seem like he loops down there. The East-to-West leg is above the ground, but his return West-to-East is a bit off to the South of the edge of land.

Found at 53.3, 60.9 (NE of Manaforge Duro) at roughly 2:08am (server time) ... was flying at around the same height as the glowing tubes that are in Netherstorm.

No one else was nearby so I took the chance to kill it towards the Bloody Rare achievement. Got Chimerahide Leggings of Spell Power (130 Armor, Req Lev 68, +70 Spell Power) & Razor Sharp Fang x3.

Tamed him a couple weeks ago prolly the easiest elite tame out there.
Lvl 70 hunter got him around 7 am server time,on Gnomebergan. First time looking for him saw him on Flight path to norhtern Nether Storm. Marked him, conclusive shot, and tamed. Lvl 70 hunter average blue dungeoun armor got me a lil more than half way down.

On Shadow Council I tamed this at 11:35 pm tonight.
I was on the west side of forge base oblivion apx 35,25.

I happen to use my eng transporter to area 52, so I could get to shat and run to the AH.
I have been looking now and then. I had a macro and had track beasts on.
When ever I am up there I do a round in the areas that he is supposed to frequent.
I had never seen it and this time I didn't see it on tracking, but I happen to look down and see that purple/blue color.
I was surprised at how low it was, I didn't think I was that high.

When I realized it WAS him, I was panicked. I had to calm down and think. (first get out of the chopper!) I landed on a rock. There were those blue windy mobs and the rock/earth guys.
I am really tired and my mind is going :)

It was just luck that non of them attacked me; even tho I was up on a rock, they were close enough to aggro.
At that point my pet began to attack nuramoc- which helped because that stopped him from flying away and up to the base with all of the elites.
I abandon my pet and began to tame. ( after I took tame form my spell book because I was to flustered to find it on my action bar)
He tamed quickly and even tho he was attacking me, I did fine and had most of my life. You can't ice block it, he's too high.

No one was more surprised than I to see this guy. I have wanted him, but really didn't think I'd find it. I had talked to so many who have camped it, even with friends and still not found it.
I have been happy with my condor-dragonbone condor.
Good tree and nice blue/lilac color. Holds aggro well.
My other fav is the vargul blighthound, also a ferocity pet.

If Nuramoc does spawn every 24h, then on SC, he/she should be back tomorrow at 11:35 pm (give or take a few hours)

Good luck to all who want him or her. This is a cunning pet and I don't know how well it will do.
Even if it doesn't do well, would I dump it? Naw! Probably not. With the 5 slots, I have room!
I am going to post this on TB too, in case anyone from SC see it in the next 24 hours. Would be nice to know when it did spawn.

Just tamed him at 5:00 pm server time on Venture Co.

he was at 33.4 / 25.4 I thought i would try to get a Chimera and looked him up as a cool skin. then went out and found him first try within a minute or two. its not hard to find him now since the zone is practically dead after WoTLK release. if you want him go and try he might just be there.

Oh, did it at 70 with a rock guy hitting me and did not die.

This isnt hard to tame at all. i found him at upper-left path, he doesnt leave path. so dont get frustrated when he gets away. keep looking at path and you will find him again. To track him you'd better have flying mount or i'll be harder. if you want to tame, fly at each path (3 paths ) every day. I found mine 3th try. My oppinion is you'll find b4 10 tries, trust me, aint hard to track.

Tamed Nuramoc on Shadowsong server 2 days ago around 8:40pm server time. He was flying around Manaforge Duro by 65 / 60.

He flies faster than I expected. I was using a targetting macro and it's a good thing I was as I didn't actually see him on my screen until a few seconds afterwards.

I abandoned my junk pet, tagged him with an arcane shot to get his attention and when he got in range, just did tame beast. No ice trap or anything.

Found it wihout even searching for it. I went to Netherstorm for the Devilsaur from there, occasionally checked the west side of northern part of Netherstorm (western of Forge Base Oblivion) and here goes.
I found out a problem to catch him in safe place and in range. I managed to finish taming with 1 mob hitting my back (i died, but taming suceeded).
I actually thought i screwed and went back there, but remembered that the rare just dissapeared instead of flying away, so after a short search i landed and called pet (and he was there).

Tamed him today on Nagrand Server, 7:20 server time. Found him about 34, 27... oh, I love roar of recovery. Now I have Uhk'loc, Silithid Ravager, Loque'nahak, the hydra spirit, and Nuramoc! Woot for rare spawns!

After months of looking I finally got it. Found it flying just north of the bridge next to Arklon Ruins at 9:45 eastern server time. Nuramoc was flying south below where the bridge is and back up again where the Mana Snappers are. I've already got alot of comments on it, definitely one of the better looking pets out there. All i did to find this butty was fly around the spawn points and i hoped to find him.It was a succes.In WoTLK no one is looking for him so its easier.Still dont try the freeze and tame procces beacouse he stays in the airs and spit on you and it kinda hurts.I just got him.I had to follow him on my swift mount to get to tame range.But it was worth it.Good luck and happy hunting:)

I found him quite easily at 34.40-21.91 (Just between the Forge Camps directly on the side.)

He flies a couple yards off the ground, maybe 10, and wouldn't pull when I flew into him on my flyer (Level 80), so I just got down and death grip'd him and killed. No big prob. To me he dealed 40 damage per second, and an add pulled, but it wasn't an elite. I didn't expect to find him so fast, but anyways guys, gl hunting.

Probably got lucky, found after 20 minute at 35,19, managed to bring him down with two level 70 "prot" Pallies. Was flying higher than him i.e he flies at quite low level, probably to allow you to attack from the ground . . . and yes I was flying between all three suggested areas in Netherstorm.

Tamed yesterday at 22:45 gametime, at 37 - 78,5. European server Emerald Dream. He was flying to the west from the bridge to Manaforge Coruu along the Arklon Ruins, freshly spawned. Patrolling there for 1,5 hr before his appearance. I have presumed 8 hr spawning time periodically from the restarting of the server after the new patch at Wednesday. It was some time before 15:00, so that the theory about 8 hr between respawning seems to be correct. Good hunting to all!:-)

Hi all! I just created a Wowhead account specifically to thank everyone for their discussion on spawn times and points. After about a week of flying between the spawn points, I flew up from Hellfire Peninsula (just came through the Dark Portal) tonight at 7:57, and flew straight up to the bridge at Arklon Ruins. I arrived RIGHT on 8:00pm and my /tar Nuramoc macro worked its charm! I had to call my stabled worg and quickly abandon it (not that it matters, can always re-tame another one from Storm Peaks at level 80 for raiding), and by that time it had already zoomed off into the distance. I remounted and caught up, tagged it and started taming.

I took a screenshot showing that it was tamed right at 8pm, so if/when I upload it, hopefully it will shed some light on its spawn time across all servers. If you're not having much luck finding it, try coming back at 8pm server time at the Arklon Ruins bridge!

Despite its slightly ugly looking heads, this pet is a beast! I can't wait to try it out in arenas in season 6! Thanks everyone for the help.

Got jumped by this guy on my warlock alt, flew out my hunter as quickly as possible.

-He takes awhile to wheel around at the ends of his Duro route, making it hard to pinpoint where he'll be around the ends. I got around this by stalking him until a friend flew out and took over; if I hadn't, I probably would've spent a decent amount of time having to look for him again.
-Freezing Trap never touched him: he starts off flying in the sky, and he stays there. Silences or kiting probably would've been required to get him to come down to the ground, and it's certainly not worth bothering at 80.
-That said, if he's patrolling over infested areas, Freezing Trap will help if you butt-pull. I had my friend obliterating the warp stalkers for me, but I probably would've been ok on my own-- they're not too aggro-happy if you're 80.

Good luck snagging the pinkest monstrosity this side of Mulgore.

Just tamed him south of the Eco-Dome, at about 3:58 PM, Friday May 1st.

I'm a level 70 Hunter on Arthas, and it took about an hour an a half. :]

I tamed him roughly 24 hours after the server reset--I found and killed the two other rares, too, Chief Engineer Lorthander and Ever-Core the Punisher. Nuramoc here was patrolling west of the Stormspire, where I found him a couple months ago, too. I was the only person in the zone. Taming nowadays should be less stressful, since all the 68+ players will be in Northrend. So if you're looking, just wait until a server reset and search the next day.

He's an awesome pet, nice coloration and the slowing attack makes him a true beast in PvP. :D But be sure you can stand the flapping animation; thankfully, he's quiet.

I found this guy at around 31, 78. I had just headed over to Netherstorm to tame him after looking at comments, started out there.

At first i didn't see him, ran right down, was about to go to Area 52 and head to the next location when i saw him over head.

He flies pretty high so remember to keep on Track Beasts at all times.

When i was about to tame him i had about 10 elementals on me, so i feigned and waited untill they had left. But by the time they had Nuramoc had flown out off the side of Outlands.
I was pretty worried after getting so lucky, so i followed him as he flew back up the way i had come, towards the bridge at 44, 76.

He crosses the bridge low enough to be tagged and tamed, so don't worry if he flies off the side of OL because chances are he'll get close enough for a tame/kill.

Last time i saw him was on my warrior, he had bugged by the bridge for months, just evaded all attacks, pretty weird.

All i'm trying to say here is, very nice pet, make sure you look ABOVE you at all times, and stay as close to the edge of Outlands as you can, because he spends alot of time out there.

Just to stress what others have said, this guy is a flier, NOT a walker. Do not look for him on the ground. A targeting macro will help, but eyes to the sky - usually about 30 - 40 feet I would say.

Pain in the bum to get him in melee range - taunted him, and he happily sat in the air doing ranged attacks for a minute, while I wondered what to do. Saw a nearby ridge, so shot him a couple of times (carry a gun), and made my way over to it. Taunted him so as not to break the hold, and once I moved out of range, he follow. Stayed in the air, but he bumped into the ridge, so I was able to stand on the edge of it - just - and melee him. Easy meat after that.

Nobody should have trouble finding him - Netherstorm is deserted 99% of the time (EU Darkspear).

I was up in Netherstorm to finish exploring it for the achievement, and I decided to try for a rare creature. I found Nuramoc in the list and he was in Netherstorm too. So I clicked on Track Beasts, flew around for about 30 seconds, and he popped up on my mini-map!

I landed and shot his ass down for the achievement. Done!

Be advised that he also flies in the broken-up terrain just south of his spawn point by the Arklon Ruins. You will need to fly out to aggro him.

I found this guy today, 6:56 server time. He was around 50, 53 when i first spotted him. Had beast tracking on and saw alot of ticks on the map, so i hovered my mouse and saw the name Nuramoc blink. Pretty sure my heart stopped. I turned around and spotted him, then flew after him for probably 2-3 minutes before stopping to tame him in an area with few mobs, around 57, 58. To the dismay of many people in the comments here, i was only actually in Netherstorm about 5 minutes before i found him. I came with the intention of taming this pet, and had it back in dalaran to show off less than 10 minutes later! Really a beautiful pet, and an excellent pvp ability to boot! The location that I identified and tamed Nuramoc at really goes to show that rare spawns are totally unpredictable, as the area I found him was not at any of the locations on the wowhead coordinates map. I tamed this as a lvl 80 hunter really easy. Found him at the northern spawn point flying from north to south just west of the Forge Base Oblivion. Found and tamed at 11:58pm server time on the Blackhand server. He does fly at a pretty good speed, almost as fast as a normal flight mount.

I tamed Nuramoc on 7-11-09 at 8:38am server time at coords 64.9,58.7 in front of Tempest Keep. I went back 24 hrs later to kill him but was not in the same place. It moved over to the zone south of Area 52. I used an add-on called NPC scan and it works great. One thing that I noticed was that the rare elites seem to spawn world wide around the same time. Takk the Leaper, my first pet, was roaming his zone and I just happen to fly over on my way to the crossroads and looked down an saw him. So I thought I would go to A52 to ck if Nuramoc was rocking around. Sure thing. Easy tame beacuse I am LVL 75. I have bagged other npc on the Medium Rare list. You only need one to get the Achievment, but I'm going for the whole list.

This was done on the Spirestone realm.

After reading comments here, I feel lucky to have found him after flying around for 2.5 hours. Found him at 60.4, 59.6 and tamed him without too much difficulty about 4:30 eastern this morning. I'm a level 72.

He does like to stay up in the air and I was concerned at first whether or not the taming spell would reach that high. He also flies fast. After dumping a temp pet, dismounting and so on, I lost him a few times. Tried to chase him down but couldn't. Ended up watching his flight path and waited for him to come to me. Lucky for me there wasn't anyone else around at 4:30 in the morning. :D

I have to point out that now WotLK is out, Netherstorm is almost empty all the time on most servers, and with the fact that BM is a very bad spec, and that this pet is out of the way (really far up or off the side of OL most of the time) he will be there 90% of the time on most servers.

Just follow the three lines and chances are you'll find him within 10 mins of entering Netherstorm, just make sure to keep your eyes on the skys!

It took a few days of looking, I am a Goblin Engineer Hunter so I had the port to Area 52, which made it easier. Found Nuramoc at around 44.76 heading toward the bridge at around 7pm server time 10/5/2009. Flying around with a "/tar Nuramoc" is pretty much the key. He was flying high off to the east of the land mass heading toward the bridge, I would have missed him without the target macro. Happy Hunting and taming...

Ok so I camped this guy for a couple days. I saw him on day one after a few hours of cruising the area and proceeded to tame him. I am not sure if he calls for help or what, but several mobs just aggroed to me from miles away and ended up killing me before I could finish. To make matters worse there was a pally standing nearby watching the whole thing. I quickly ran back to my body only to see that the pally had already killed him off... jerk! After reading time stories on here I came back 12 hours later and instead found Chief Engineer Lorthander just north of Manaforge Duro. After killing him I searched the area for maybe an hour more and never saw Nuramoc. 12 hours later I logged in used my Dimensional Ripper - Area 52 and cruised over to Manaforge Duro again and there he was, right on time.

It appears to me that these two rare spawns are tied to each other on a 12 hour respawn timer. Anyhow, I have my very own Nuramoc now and wish all the rest of you luck getting yours!

Took me a good couple of days to find her, but I just caught Nuramoc flying west of Oblivion on Shattered Hand (only a few minutes ago.) As a level 70 hunter, all I had to do was tame from the ground and survive the barrage of poison spit and bolts.

Found this sucker literally half an hour ago, first off thanks guys for your locations of nuramoc it certainly helped. i tried looking for him last night though to no avail after an hour and a bit of searching. i logged in half an hour ago to begin patrolling/camping and found him within minutes on my ESN Rare addon. just to confirm he can be tracked in the track beasts tracker.
i found him at 12:07 AM local time 9:07 Realm time in Shu'halo, found him at the coords 57,57/ 58,58. hope this helps to whoever is on my realm and looks for him in the future.

what was weird that when i found it the creature it wasnt on the land but rather between the two islands. then i went down on the bridge and it was gone (so i thought) just abandoned my other pet and looked up and it was gone...i was like where did it go...so i stated flying around wondering where it went...i finally found it and couldnt find a safe place to drop due to the elementals on the ground...finally found a spot and tamed it...it didnt show up on NPC addon...i was randomly flying around looking for it and found it...looks pretty cool but havent seen it in action yet

I was just saying earlier today that I would totally dual-spec BM if I caught Nuramoc before I got Wrath. Seeing as how today was a holiday (Veteran's Day) and couldn't get the money to get it, so today was the last day to catch him. And I had swapped to BM for the hell of it, and not having anything better to do at level 70.

Lo and behold, NPCScan goes off, and there he is! Around 35, 27. After flying around and getting mobbed by elementals, I finally caught him. :3 Of course, I got launched off the edge of Netherstorm into nothingness, but it was totally worth it.

Now, back to survival until I get enough gold for dual spec. After I run around Org for a while.

Also, FYI: during taming, he stayed above ground and launched ranged attacks at me. They didn't hurt very much, even though he was flinging them pretty quickly. Don't worry about laying down a trap, he won't get anywhere near it.

I can't believe this %^&*. I'm lvl 69 hunter, and I found it -.- It took about 3 mins to find it with macro /tar Nuramoc
Now i'm camping at the bridge near Area 52. South-east, and i'm level 70 now =)
Day 2:
I've now tried to get the pet about 30 mins. Haven't find it, yet.

Btw, anyone knows co-ordinations for the spawn?

Finally got this pet after a few months of casual farming. I downloaded "_NPCscan" and "_NPCscan overlay", which alerts you of rares and puts their paths on your map. Be sure to delete your cache folder... other wise when you run into Nuramoc as a tamed pet with the same name, it'll remove it from your notification. Same goes for any other rare. Good luck!

Just tamed this bad boy today. It was pretty exciting, even though it was only a minute or two.
Here's what happened:

I downloaded the _npcscan overlay for my carb.map (really helpful). I followed the path for a few minutes, and while I left the game for a second it went off, I rushed in and my eyes darted around for him.
I couldn't tame him because I was in my SV spec, I felt like an idiot then. I noticed in the time I took to switch he had flown too far for the tame spell. My heart racing, I ran along the ground underneath him, ready to tag him from anyone else. After what seemed like an eternity, Nuramoc got close to the ground, and I got the tame.

He spawned in the second group of spawn points, and he does fly a set path.
Just for some hope, this took me a few minutes, I didn't expect to find him at all. I was prepared for an all-nighter too XD.

Just Tamed this beauty at 8:30am on Drenden server. Had never really considered taming him until I read an article by Garwulf on huntsmanslodge.com. Thanks to our lovely new glitch with Call Stabled Pet I have been entering Arena's to reset but am considering actually trying my hand at arena's as my guildmates all do them. I had farmed for him from about 1am to 3 am saw and killed both of the other rares in the area to get the medium rare achievment but did not see Nuramoc. Thanks to npc_scan and Silver Dragon when I logged on this morning flew through the 2 most southern spawn points and then tamed him at the Forge Base Oblivion spawn area. I now have a full stable again gave up Humar to get Nuramoc and I will not go after Arcturis until Blizz gives us more stable slots. Thanks for all of the info above it all helps.

Just tamed this guy about 10 minutes ago (4am pst--Terenas). Very cool looking pet. I have consistently had success finding rare mobs between 3 and 5am. I would say that is one of the best times to search and find.

The nice thing for hunters about going back and finding and taming these rare pets from TBC is that they're almost guaranteed to already be spawned, since there's so few people in these areas now (particularly Netherstorm and Shadowmoon Valley since most people leveling to 80 skip those zones, just go straight to Howling Fjord/Borean Tundra at 68 from Nagrand or whatever).

Of course if these rare spawns aren't there it's most likely because another hunter has recently tamed them :P

Nuramoc: Finally got Nuramoc after trying all weekend long searching the paths that he flies - like other posts he appeared right in front of the bridge by Arklon Ruins at exactly 8pm eastern time. Just camped out on the bridge at about 7:45 and waited for him. Make sure to use a trap/frost to keep him from killing you - I made it with just about 2% of health left!

I can't believe how lucky I was to get this guy.

First of all, he has a ridiculous spawn time in three ridiculously spaced areas. I was searching for him for about an hour before I moved to a different location, and lo and behold there he was! I couldn't believe it. So I try to start taming him, but chasing him attracted four or so creatures, and on top of that, two Hordies began trying to kill him! So I'm without a pet/method of defense, and I thought I was going to die! If it wasn't for my friend coming to help out I don't think I would have tamed him.

He is a great pet to have, he's pretty tough and can really hold his own in a battle with multiple targets. I have to say he is my favorite pet so far. Not to mention he's really pretty! I love telling this story to anyone who will listen :P

Just got this pet on Deathwing at 11:00 am server time (PST). I didn't need to worry about the freezing trap as I survived his attacks and he was ranged so he never got close enough to get on the one I dropped. A rogue was going for the achievement but I had made a habit of everytime I logged in to look for him I would message everyone in netherstorm asking what they were up to. He told me he was going for the achievement and I asked him to leave Nuramoc for me and he did so. Nice guy.

Does anyone else that has this pet have trouble feeding him?

I am feeding him the correct level food, but he never seems to get past yellow. Then after about 4 or 5 mins of standing around he goes back to red. I don't use him at all anymore because nothing I do will keep him happy.

I've asked the game master about this and he didn't know anything.

Flew in to the spawn point this morning at 9.07am server time a day after taming Loque. Nuramoc was flying right there. At first I dropped off my mount to tame him not realizing I was not above ground and died. Came back and flew around and he was still there so I waited till he flew over a bridge, tamed him with rez sickness nonetheless and 5k HP. He barely hits hard on a Level 77 hunter. Easy and no one is really out to tame him anymore I guess. But he is beautiful, keeping this guy.

I tamed this awesome guy today with my 72 hunter. Found him at 35/25 around 6:30pm CST (US). I was able to aggro him by flying through him, then set down in a fairly clear spot to finish taming him. He took about 5,000 life from me, but he never got close enough to me to melee, and his ranged attacks weren't all that powerful. I had another chimera from Azshara and I found they pretty much fight the same. But that beautiful blue/purple chimera (I named him Nuramoc) was the envy of everyone I saw in Orgrimmar. I'm so glad I found him!

I tamed him at 2:30 Korialstrasz server time (Pacific time) on a lvl 70 Blood Elf Hunter. I patrolled his flight path area from NE point near Arklon ruins all the way past the Manna Forge staying close to the edge with track beast on. I didnt see him until on my way back which leads me to believe he just spawned. He was near the Arklon ruins (a little west) right at the edge of the land. I followed him on my flying mount and found a spot ahead of him to dismount and switch to aspect of the monkey. I tamed him no problem, even without a freezing trap. Stay close to the edge because there are a lot of elementals around.

BEST OF LUCK. PS I agree that the wings are really annoying. I don't think this is a good dungeon pet.

Just tamed this beauty today 9/24/2010 at 2:23pm server time on Thunderlord. The hardest part was actually getting in range, I didnt have flying mount. Anyway, depending on his spawn point u can tame him at the bridge between Arklon Ruins and Manaforge Coruu. If you get up on top of the bridge h flies right over it in range of shooting at. shoot once, frost trap, and tame. He took me down 3/4 of my life in the process but hey, he is so beautiful. Saw some people suggested looking around 11am - 12noon server time and it worked like a charm. No one was around and found my beautiful new pet within 5 mins of looking. He was by the Arklon bridge. So happy! <3

The other day I reached lvl 70 on my hunter and went straight for Netherstorm for this bad boy. Logged on my lock so i could do a fast fly-by on all the 3 spawn points. Nuramoc was west of Forge Base Oblivion. In the 2 minutes it took for me to log off my warlock, log back on my hunter (stationed near Mana Forge Duro) and get there, a paladin was already looting the corpse.

This was at 17.00 - 17.10 ST. At 23.00 I logged back in and started spawn camping. With a more than 95% accuracy (Netherstorm is absolutely empty at night save for the odd player every 2 or 3 hours ), I can say that he did not spawn after the generally assumed 8-12 hours. At 7.11 in the morning I halted my efforts, returning every 2 hours for a full sweep of the patrol paths. I found Nuramoc again at 13.06 ST, north of Mana Forge Duro, the second time i circled through the spawn points., so precisely 19 hours after the last sighting.
This would put him/her in the 12-24 hours respawn timer category rather than the 8-12 as previously assumed.

Had circled all 3 spawn locations for about 2 hours or so. Stopped at the "main" spawn location near the bridge and sat there reading comments for roughly 45 minutes. Decided to go ahead and do a quick round again. Lo and behold, there he was. Flying along the edge of the world near Manaforge Duro (directly north of it). Actual taming occured at 5:28 PM server time (CST).

Note: Someone had said that npcscan did NOT go off when they found him. Npcscan caught him immediately for me.

I just realized that there isn't a single post regarding Nuramoc's spawn locations, so here:

Download NPCscan and NPCscan Overlay. The scan will go off when he's in range, the overlay will show you where he paths.

He has about an 8 hour spawn timer. He flies, but he's still within range of ranged attacks and Tame Beast. He also paths rather quickly. There's no need for Freezing Trap at level 80, since he'll attack you with spells from afar, that'll most likely miss.

He was flying from Manaforge Duro to the Eco-Dome Mid-Realm.

I've been checking all 3 spawn/path areas about 5 times a day for the past 6 days. At first I was using _NPCscan and SilverDragon, but those addons broke a couple nights ago from 4.0. I was still using my /target Nuramoc macro when I found him, though he was visible and attacked me before the macro found him. He's fairly large, and moves fast. He's hard to miss.

I was getting a little discouraged by the end, but he does still spawn. To anyone trying to camp him, stay persistent and patient. You will get it, and you won't be disappointed. He's my favorite pet yet. Good luck!

Ok so I am crying right now and really upset this game put lame achievements that do NOTHING for you along with rare spawn hunter tamable pets. I looked for Nuramoc for 4 days STRAIGHT with NO REST and then finally I target him....I see him....ZOMG! Guess what he was already tagged by someone just wanting achievement points. I lost him by 10 sec. Over 30 hrs of my life GONE just so some guy can have a few more "I better than you" points. /CRY

Update: I camped him starting 8 hrs after he was killed and it took a total of 15.5 hrs until he spawned (he was killed at noon) and I got him at the N most spawn point at 3:30am. WOOT!

For the hunters looking to tame this pet on Veknil ash sever heres some info that might help you out. I just tamed this pet today and i started searching for this pet at alittle past 6:30 a.m. and didnt stop doing laps untill 6:55 p.m. He did not spawn once during that time untill just before 7 p.m. sever time at the nothern most spawn location. So my advice for hunters on veknil ash sever get the add ons npc scan and npc scan over lay to help you find his exact paths. and then start your search around 6.30 p.m.

I tamed this in less than 2 hours. And I don't regret the search. While I was waiting I noticed a lighter purple thing move behind the rock and im like wtf? So i go over and there he is. I set up an ice trap then started to tame. The ice trap works for those of you that are wondering. If you start taming from a distance behind the ice trap you will get some seconds before he actually gets frozen so you can ensure that he is yours. I did this. I set my trap about 5 meters behind him then stood about 2 meters behind the trap and started to tame. Luckily he didn't use the lightning strike thing on me. It also helps if you put beast tracker on.

Just tamed this guy at around 9:51 AM server time, near 35, 26 on his northern patrol, behind the two forge camps. He does move fairly fast, but getting in cast range was not a problem as I landed on one of the nearby hills.

I had camped this guy at his three spawn points for around 4.5 hours last night, but with nothing to show for it. Today, I logged in, flew to his northern path, and there he was. Now that Netherstorm is all but deserted, it's a good time to go pet hunting. Best of luck.

Got him! Been casually checking Netherstorm on-and-off this afternoon and logged in around 5:00 AM server time on Malfurion-US, and there he was on his southern-most spawn path. Easy tame, wasn't interrupted once. Gave him his name back too :)

I spent about 18 hours yesterday looking for this, either actively flying the routes or camping the spawns with NPCScan running and not even a sniff of him. Logged out in the Spire, checked the North, nothing, then the East, nothing, then the South. Nearly jumped out of my skin as NPCScan went off and I couldn't believe (a) how far up he flys and (b) how far off the "shoreline".
I tried to aggro him by flying into him but no go, so I eventually flew back to the bridge, stood on top of it and got my tame in, and I'm sure I was at the limit for the tame distance!

Also worth noting, when you tame him, he goes right into your pet slot, he doesn't pop out next to you as I once again, in the space of 2 minutes, I had a heart attack thinking he had de-spawned on me.

Anyway, well worth it, really nice looking pet indeed.

I found it today at the southern control paths, it was flying east. I recommend having Track Beast on, since there are not alot of other beasts nearby, so it will be easy to distinguish. Looks awesome tamed :)

I found him on Zuluhed at 5 AM Mountain time. Forgot to check server time. He was on the northwest route. Petopia says he is spawnable at 69 but he was 70. One level to high for me. So I couldn't tame. But I let him smack me around for a while to see how hard it will be when I find him again. I don't think it will be that hard. His damage wasn't to high. Cool looking though. Took some snapshots will try to post soon.

Welp...just hit 70 about 10 minutes ago, hearthed to SW, trained up flying, took the BL portal, flew to Netherstorm and flew by his southern spawn point once, then up to the NW one, spotted him right there and tamed with no issues on Uther at around 12:10am. Wish I had this much luck with all rares, heh.

Tamed this guy today at 3:22 server time on azjol nerub! Hes a great pvp pet, i just patrolled the three ares while in que for random battlegrounds. Hes quite easy to spot, and If you fly right through him he'll aggro easily. Level 71 Belf hunter and i was being attacked by an elemental, no less took about half my life but hes worth it!
Got him right below the manaforge :P

So I went to check for this guy since I couldn't find Madexx in red, and surprise! My npc goes off, but I go and get ready to tame only to find it's just some jerk horde that decided it was cool to name it Nuramoc, just like the rare... People that do this should be banned! >:( The hunter was a level 70 though so I assume he had just tamed it. It was around 1am server and the hunter that had him was at the bottom most spawn area, but I didn't see him tame, so of course my info probably doesn't help much.

Edit: I finally found him! Tamed at 10:45am server on Mok'nathal. He was at the farthest right spawn area.

So freaken pissed right now. I've been after this pet since last year and spotted him once, however i was 10% away from the level to tame him. Today i was flying around and had a special feeling again. I saw him 35.2, 28.7 and tried to kite him to the ledge. I abandoned my pet and realied i wasn't in my BM spec and Auto shot killed him by accident. Bugger.

So third time lucky. Spotted just after i killed the Ever core punisher. I do believe that the rares do share a very similar spawn time in an area. This time, spotted at 12:40pm, 9 minutes after the ever core punisher at the mana forge duro 59.5, 59.4. Im so f*cking happy I got him. Good luck to you all :)

Found this guy around 23, 80 A few hours ago on Emerald Dream. Spammed Tame Beast and it wouldn't work for some reason, and ended up having to feign death to avoid dying before I realized I wasn't in my Beast Mastery spec

By the time I had swapped to it he had already disappeared without a trace and I couldn't find him again.

I spotted him traveling west to east; he was skirting the cliff face. Flew into him to gain aggro and pulled to one of the floating rock islands on the southern border for the taming.

These seem like good times to pick up the old cool stuff.

I was going to peek into TK, and got sidetracked watching TV; when I came back to my window then NPC_Scan had picked him up, so I chased it down and tamed it.
Went back to TK, and a non-hunter just sat there behind me forever while I was busy moving buttons around, for like 7 minutes, just standing there, so I pulled up Nuramoc, and he flies away.
Boo hoo.

I also recommend Ghostcrawler, since he's so out of the way.

I just picked him up right at 3:00 am on Draenor - US, which is a pacific coast server. He was patting the eastern route indicated on the map. I just checked Netherstorm several times within 12 hours and got him. I think it helps that Outland is pretty deserted now. At least it is on my server.

Tbh, once I tamed him I wasn't too keen on his design when looking up close, but after leaving the purple haze of Netherstorm, he is looking much better.

Was farming for Spiteflayer and after killing basically every rare spawn, waiting for that damn bird, I decided to try for Nuramoc on a whim. Pretty guy was flying at 43.6, 71.2. Flew right into him and started taming him. (10:15pm on Silver Hand.) Slick guy. Though, it's a tie between him and The Evalcharr...hrm...

Nuramoc is the best chimera skin in the game imo. I have tamed him several times, as I kept getting rid of him for a pet I would actually use. Now that I have a ton of pet slots, I tamed him again and now he's sitting in my stable, QQing. Now that no one really quests in endgame Outland anymore, Netherstorm is now "out-of-the-way." Chimeras are also not very popular pets, so very few hunters ever get one. You're more likely to find him now than not.

Just tamed him on Elune, 03-25-2011, at 4:36pm Eastern Standard Time (Clock below Mini map also had that time). Coord 35.0 - 19.9. I am level 85 so the only difficulty was finding him, searched for 2.5 days. Maxed my riding skill just so I could cover the 3 areas faster.

When I went to spec him he was already level 82 at the time of capture. Did not check at what level he was before capture.

I tamed him a few months ago after looking him up on here and seeing how cool he looks when i was about lvl 20. I actually waited to hit 70 to search for him. A guildie hunter was online and i asked him to help me find him so with his addons around 4am we found him in the center spawn point. It was crazy since i was still tryna find a good spot to start looking when he told me he found him. I thought he was talking about something else since we found him so quick. I love that pet. After my 70 twinking days ended, i know that i will be using this pet for pvp at 85 too. He looks so cool. And my favorite color. Plus people always try to kill him cause of his op aoe. Some things you can do while flying around over all his patrol areas:

- Stop by Area 52 to check Qiff's supplies. He's the goblin dude next to the sunken steps and near the engineering trainer. He sells limited numbers of certain engineering supplies (like khorium power cores) that can be worth a pretty penny, especially if you're an engineer, so it's always worth seeing what he's got.

- Go see the wondrous sites of Stormspire. Some of the traders here sell useful things, like the exotic pets, spare parts, potent portables, and exotic weapons vendors. Some items come in limited numbers, too.

Anyone else have any other vendors they visit for limited items? Other than that, good luck to all! :)

Tamed yesterday morning on Earthen Ring server, at the southernmost spawn site. Takes some work to taunt him down to the ground, but Netherstorm is deserted anymore and there was no one about as I got set up. Good looking pet, so far I get more whispers about him and the Lone Hunter wolf (sword in head) than anything else in my stable.

Given his lightning attack, I decided to name him Blitzkrieg.

Snagged him at 60.0, 58.0. 3 Hunters we kiting him west toward the end of his patrol route. Amazingly he was not life tapped yet, and after about 5 minutes of watching them screw with the NPC I dropped to a safe fall distance and popped a arcane shot to life tap it. Tame was a little iffy without a frost trap at level 80, but very easy. The area is full of all sorts of twisted sh*t pipelines and such.

This being the case it is easy to grab aggro and get to a area that is in reach for a tame, should have no problems with the tame, as long as there aren't any others hunting him.

Just tamed him today on Ravencrest at the northern set of pins. I was exploring the zone on an alt for the free xp when NPC scan alerted me. Great pet, and his special ability is pretty good.

Tamed about half an hour ago on the southernmost patrol route. Was a great stroke of luck because I'd been doing quests for Loremaster in Nagrand and went to Blade's Edge for a herb for Greatmother Geyah and figured I'd check since I was near Netherstorm, just in case he was up. Once I got there I figured I'd exit game and delete my NPC Scan cache. I logged back in and flew along a bit and boom, there he was. My tame beast button wasn't on my bars so I had to go to spellbook and he flew pretty far away in that time! Wanted him since i) he's rare, ii) wanted to try a chimera in pvp and iii) purple is my favourite colour :D.

I got this insane nice pet on Ravenholdt EU around 9.30. I saw it in lvl 69 and a paladin mate helped me to quickly reach lvl 70 so i could tame it. Then i tamed it when i reached lvl 70 fortunately Nuramoc still was there and with some problems i tamed him. For some reason i couldnt tame him when my mate paladin got the aggro. I managed to ice trap him, so yes it is possible to ice trap him.

I tamed him aprox 10 PM EST. I saw him around 8 PM EST (Bloodfurnace) but had to get one more level before I could have Beast Mastery Talent. When I got back, he was still there 2 hrs later! Easy tame at 71. Wonderful pet!

Found him flying around the bridge at 44,76 so I attacked, pulled him down out of the sky and dismissed my pet. Stopped attacking and just tamed him.

I just tamed it around 0740 server time on Bleeding Hollow. The NPCScan and its overlay addons really help. I found Nuramoc in its northern spawn location in the middle of the cluster of locations while it was flying and patrolling. (Not in the single point locations listed above - can't recall the exact coordinates.) Since most people are doing Wrath and Cata content, there shouldn't be much competition for BC and Vanilla rares, especially since people level in and out of those zones rather quickly. Nuramoc shouldn't have much competition since it's in Netherstorm (far out of the way), and most people stop BC content at 68. Netherstorm is 70.

Found dead at roughly 28, 79 on the southern spawn area at 1:58PM UK time.

Found exactly 7hours and 53 minuets later at 34, 24 on the north-western spawn area, flying roughly 10 feet above the ground.

During the tame beast cast I went from about 14k HP to 3.2k at level 70 in full 70PvP gear.

After 2 1/2 years of circling that path- finally tamed him on Korgath at aprox 10:15 AM EST (8:15 am server). He spawned under the bridge for me.

Hands shook, and I actually cried. lol.

Just killed Nuramoc at 57.58, at 10:40 AM, server Perenolde. Nuramoc was traveling east, towards Tempest Keep, flying slightly above the mana tubes.

Dropped Chimerascale legplates of Stamina, and Razor Sharp Fang X2. Also, skinned for Knothide Leather.

I tamed mine last night on Frostmane eu, around 7:25pm uk time. He looks amazing and I love that this moduels skin is so unique! I found him at choords: 36,23 just flying around, waiting for someone to come and tame, I saw him and panicked as I clicked tame beast and Arcturis started atacking him, I quickly dismissed Arcturis and tamed him. I laid a freezing trap but that is pointless as he casts range attackes and flys above it anyway. I love him and he looks amazing!

Found this today on Alonsus at around 16:00. I found it on it's southern flight path near 40.4 - 79.8.

I recently got the NPC Scanner but we can't find the cache to clear it and apparently i'd already seen Nuramoc O.o which was a surprise since I had had a good look yesterday and never saw the thing.

However after finding it today I realised how it was possible to miss it, It does fly fairly high up off the ground and goes at a fair speed so quite easily missable when questing either that or I saw another hunter with one previously.

Since I had no useable NPC scanner for this one I used the good old use wowhead maps and fly around. I had been to all of the spawn points without seeing it but I decided to go around again and keep a closer eye on the mini map.

So I got a little startle as I saw the word "Nuramoc" show up amongst the usual spawns and then shock at how big it was. I didn't want to land there due to the mobs so I went ahead to meet it but it didn't show, I realised I had gone too far and lost it. I had a job locating it again and it had gone all the way to the end of it's path and turned around a second time, eventually tamed it but it almost killed me.

I couldn't reach it from the ground so I had to fly into it to pull aggro.

Well, I finally found him and as a bonus, got to keep his original name! He was at 42.4, 76.3. I had actually given up, got a sandwich, came back and noticed my npc tracker picked him up. I was scared that I missed him so I started patrolling. About 10 seconds later he was flying slowly my way. I dismounted, dismissed my pet, and casted tame beast. Now I can show him off in dungeons and bg's. I don't care if his stats aren't the best for either one, Nuramoc is by far the best looking pet available to me. Eventually, I want one of those shale spiders, but alas, I am only level 72... Either way... I got Nuramoc... enough said.

Got lucky, on my 2nd day, 1st pass of the third area where it circles @ 34,26 spotted it and tried to tame it. I couldn't, even though it said it was tameable.
I think my error-- was due to the fact i had been drinking at Brewfest and being a lil drunk, forgot to switch to beastmaster spec =D.
So make sure your in BM b4 attempting to tame, or else someone else might kill it n get cred. lol.

I had my heart set on this pet, being that he's purple and cute(ish). So, I was pretty lucky with it only took two casual days of looking for him. About twenty minutes apiece, before I found him in the middle of the northern-most path.

For any mages out there feeling like having some fun: this guy's 棱彩护盾 currently does HUGE amounts of damage when spellstolen.
For me with about 8.8k spell dmg it hit mobs for around 14.5k arcane damage. Only lasts two minutes though.

On a sidenote, the 献祭 that the 深渊烈焰行者 on Isle Of Quel'Danas have does around the same amount of damage, although it works a bit differently.

Possibly the most Favorited Chimaera tame there is. If you're looking for a pet that will turn heads when you walk through a city, the Nuramoc is the pet for you.

I tamed mine in the middle of the afternoon (12:00pm CTS) on a Medium pop server, after camping him for three days.

Obviously the higher pop the server the lower your chances at getting this pet, but take comfort in this; not very many people are playing BC content anymore. (at least not on my server; Garithos)

I guess I over looked something, for those of you who are strictly PvE oriented; This pet does decent DPS now that patch 4.3 is live... their frost breath has been increased, these and Worms are the BM AoE Pet's.
Which are handy to have as an AoE alternative pet. Most Raids will be looking for a raid buff pet. Choose wisely.

In regards to PvP (which is where I specialize in), the chimaera's lightning breath ability is a valuable asset when you concussive shot with it, NO ONE escapes a chimaera.

Just tamed Nuramoc after a couple days of random checking his flight paths. Got him around 33,29. Used NPC_Scan and it worked like a charm - as i didn't notice him (probably flying too high) sound went off and red warning color along with a little minature flying icon of Nuramoc saying it was him. Landed, shot em with an arrow to get his aggro and began taming. Didn't lose more than 25% health at lvl 70. Even got to keep his original name, woot! GL to all you hunters out there!

Today is Sunday, January 22, 2012. I've been hunting Nuramoc for 3 days now, and it's always been at night late. Last night I decided to just spend the night in Netherstorm and try this morning. Was a good decision, as I was flying around the spawn point just north of Manaforge Duro.

I had already made 1 pass thru the area, and was on my return trip thru it. As I was flying thru, I was watching down below me, and just happened to look up and see this beautiful creature coming straight at me. So I quickly landed, and began casting my tame. SUCCESS ! Got him without any problems. This was at 11:30 a.m. to be exact, so that might help the next Hunter looking for him.

Now, it's back to the search for another pet to add to my stable. Just not enough room for everyhing. The 25 slots are great, but sure would like 25 more. LOL. Good luck to everyone hunting him, the days spent looking for him were worth every second. Just a magnificent creature. Show off time ! :)

Just found him this morning at 11:25AM EST, 10:25AM server time (US-Greymane) at coords 30.9, 34.6 (just barely southwest of Forge Base Oblivion) moving from north to south through the spawn location. He dropped Chimaerahide Leggings of the Whale.

Almost missed him! I was trying to get a good screenshot of him and was maneuvering around when he all of a sudden de-spawned at the southern end of the spawn point. I got all disappointed at first, then decided to check the other 2 spawn locations, and ended up coming back to the spot I originally found him. After remembering that NPCscan most likely wouldn't find him again for me and quickly making a targeting macro and flying around spamming it, I very luckily found him again! I appears that after he disappears at the southern end of this location, he re-spawns again at the northern end of the location again after a minute or two.

Just killed Ever-Core the Punisher and Chief Engineer Lorthander in Netherstorm (both were up). However, traveling around everywhere it seems Nuramoc was already tagged/killed/tamed.

Seems unlikely someone would leave the other 2 rares up, so I'm fairly certain it was a hunter that tagged it.

Found this beautiful beast today at 11.45pm server time...i had been out in netherstorm earlier with my mage n npcscan picked up the elemental rare, so i killed him on her and got the achievement. Was hunting round Hyjal and firelands for the rares in there when i decided I'd go have a look and see if Nuramoc was about...I wasn't getting good vibes, having been through the north n east spawn points with no luck...i had just rounded the east corner of the southern spawn point, when npcscan goes off...couldn't believe my luck...landed, cast tame (thankfully no active pets) and its mine :)

renamed Khimaira...a little more exotic :)

Since I've been on a rare pet collecting spree (4 this week), I decided to hunt this beautiful creature down. This was actually the first rare I looked for. I scoped the area and with no luck left for Feralas to hunt The Razza. He was easy and just sitting there chillin like wassup?

Loving the Chimaera frost breath and after collecting 3 other rares I decided to try one more time. Really I wanted to know if Nuramoc had purple frozen breath.

Feeling like a pro, I made the long trek back. I flew the lower spawn path first and followed it around to the north spawn path.

That beautiful red dot was at the very end of the north spawn path, the very end of my search. I looked and looked, where was he.... I stopped directly above him. I followed him to a clearing and had my way with wooing him! This was approximately 2:30am server time

No purple frozen breath, but he is so beautiful!

As many hunters do, I got in a tame ALL the rare pets! mood. As I was browsing through the list, I saw this guy and fell in love. Being the most unlucky WoW played in the world I figured he wouldn't be there but tried anyways. NPC scan went off and I about had a heart attack. lol
4:34pm on Caelestrasz, at 53,55.
As a level 85 you don't have to do anything at all but target and tame.

On Argent Dawn I found my Nuramoc after 2 days of looking! He is very pretty! Everyone said that he flew really high and they had to go to a cliff to tame. So I went up quite high and when my NPCScan went off I was looking round like a crazy person and he was below me between Manaforge Duro and the Tempest Keep (around 10pm server time). I haven't decided on a name yet though.

I was on my way to Tempest Keep to try to do the raid for the Ashes of alar mount and on the flight there, NPCScan popped for Nuramoc. After I landed, I flew back to find this mob. Since nobody goes here anymore I found him with no problems.

This was a very easy tame.

Just to clarify, Nuramoc is Tameable only after you have the Beast Mastery talent in your BM talent tree. This requires 31 points in BM. You have to be level 69 to set that talent. I was over in Netherstorm at level 68 (with 30 points in BM) questing and looking for him when my NPC Scan went off. When I tried to tame him, the message "Not Tameable" came up and he killed me. After re-reading all the posts, I realized what the problem was. So once I hit 69 and set the Beast Mastery talent, then I am going after him again.

I found Nuramoc on 5/14/12 around late afternoon (wasn't paying any attention to the time) on my hunter and I was only 69 so I couldn't tame him but I did kill him for 'Medium Rare.' Then on 5/15/12 I hit 70 then and saw him around 11 to Noon and Tamed him. He's pretty cool and neat looking, I like his colors. If you're trying to get him as a pet or just kill him, I suggest you make a /tar Nuramoc macro, it really helps. Good luck :)

Careful though when persuing him, if he comes to the end of ANY of his patrol routes, he'll despawn fast and turn around to continue to the end of his route.

This was the only rare I was missing for Bloody Rare... He was showing "catched" on my npc scan add on but still I went around looking for him and found him flying low @ 61,59. The Ncp scan did not go off.

After three days of flying along his paths, I tamed Nuramoc at approx 13.10 EST on his Northern path, just south of Oblivion.
I've already done a battleground with him and his Frost Breath is spectacular. He makes an excelent PVP pet.
Now I just need to name him- something I should've thought of whilst circling his paths, but I guess I doubted that I'd even find him.

Have been searching for Nuramoc for a few hours today. Just hitting each of his spawn points. Was kind of neglecting the northern spawn point. I read a lot of comments and most posts stated they found Nuramoc up in the north.. I decided to head up there and bam, there it was. Popped up on my screen, landed, tamed, now my pet. First rare. Really excited to try him in BGs.

I just encountered this guy whilst have flown all around Outland to find a rare. I killed him mid-air but i did not get the credit for the kill. I even looted the guy.. :( Did i do something wrong?

There are various estimates on this guy's spawn rate that I have found on different sites, I don't think anyone knows the exact. However, as many others have stated below, it is known that he has a very slow spawn rate. I spent 9 hours straight (on one of my nothing to do days ;) ) circling his patrol areas. I have npc scan installed which helps alert you if he is within radar. So from 4 p.m. to 1:22 a.m. I farmed for him. He popped up on my screen just west of Oblivion. With everyone in Pandaria land now, it makes it a bit easier, but it's still difficult because of the spawn rate. I don't know how many people still farm for him. Hardly anyone was in nether on my realm the whole time I was there but every server is different. So some could get lucky and find him within 10 minutes, and others like me will have to put some time into obtaining him. He's worth it though even in this new expansion, he's going to make a great addition to my pet collection. It was also a bonus I got to kill the other two rares in nether as well during the process. Don't get discouraged if you can't find him right away. Best of luck!

I did not have to search for this guy as long as some people did on this forum. I started lastnight about 10pm server and searched for only an hour with no luck. I parked my hunter at the inn at Area 52 for the evening. I logged in about 6:30 server and startted my sweep of the patrol locations. Then on my return sweep is when he popped up on my "Silver Dragon" addon which works the same as NPC Scan. Nuramoc was not cached and I actually spotted him before the addon popped. So my discovery was by mouseover.

On my PVP realm, I was taking my 70 hunter to Botanica for a run at Beast Lord gear with an 85 Paly. On the flight over, npcscan alerted, and we avoided the Horde at the flight point and made a beeline for him. The Paly aggro'd him before I could start taming. Froze him and had the paly clear out the other mobs while I waited for Nuramoc to become tamable. Guess those Horde at the flight point weren't using npcscan, or didn't care.

Just flying around and Came up on NPCscan just west of Base Camp Oblivion at (34, 24), Tuesday 26th March 2013, 1333hrs realm Time (Gundrak). Interesting to note that I have been flying around in some zones for more than an hour to find a second Rare, after finding the first Rare easily, but give up on finding the second rare.

Seems as though when you fly into a new zone for the first time in the day you get the chance to find ONE rare spawn if you go into one of the relevant zones they spawn in, but you probably have to wait for the next day to get another rare spawn in the same zone! [Edit: No, scratch that theory! I just ran into Ever-Core the Punisher at 1340hrs Realm Time a few mins later! at Voidwind Plateau at (68, 40). !

Found him after literal YEARS of looking, only to have a same-faction warlock kill him instantly. YEARS of searching (yes, I have spent weeks camping his twin with no success either) wasted because a warlock was being greedy. I felt like crying, it was so wasteful and frustrating. Its like the people who camp Loque for years only to lose him to a quester wanting him for exp.

Edit: Got help from a friend to eliminate CRZ and found him and tamed him almost instantly. Thank you, Qinni the hunter. I named my Nuramoc after you. Its amazing how just eliminating CRZ makes things 10000000x easier and faster....

Hey guys!
So I just got Nuramoc today after a couple of days of searching. I found the easiest way to go about getting him was:
1. Obviously have beast mastery spec on
2. Make a macro for /target Nuramoc
3. Fly around the areas he's been spotted with macro

Ta-da! He's tatgeted once you come close. I also had good luck finding him around 11am pst. Server was pretty dead then.

Last night around 9ish or so he came up on my Silver Dragon. Needless to say I didn't get him. I wasn't in Netherstorm. I did a lot of research and found his location, etc. I read that he spawns between 10-noon, and again between 8-10 at night, or every 8 hrs. I did absolutely nothing today but sit in front of my computer with my hunter waiting for him to spawn. I can tell you he doesn't spawn every 8 hours. He doesn't spawn between 10 and noon..at least today he didn't. I am coming up on 13 hours camping him, and so far nothing. This is insanity..btw..level 72 hunter

Ran into him at 8:47pm realm time on Area 52 at his crumbling wastes patrol spawn. I was 3 levels shy of being able to tam him so i kept him frozen with freezing trap for 20 mins until i could find a hunter to come tame him since i already had him for Bloody Rare and it would seem like a waste to senselessly kill him when he is so sought after :)

I nabbed this guy for the "Bloody Rare" achievement today (12/27/15) at 5:04 pm on Moon Guard-US (I think? Cross realm zones) at the coordinates 64.7, 58.4. We'll see in 7 hours if he's back up. I wanna tame him as a pet, too. That was a hard choice to make.

Great news for Hunters for Patch 7.0! Taming Nuramoc now grants achievement credit towards 罕见品种, allowing you to avoid the heartbreak of making a decision on whether or not to kill it for the achievement!

As a hunter, I can confirm taming this guy contributes to the achievements, Medium Rare and Bloody Rare. So don't worry if you're conflicted between taming for pets or killing for the achieve progress! You will get both if you tame! :)
