Straight forward tank the boss/dps/heal fight. He does an AoE Nature attack -- make sure to get the buff from the druid in the cage(in the same room as the boss, look to the left when you enter).
He is the final boss located in Coilfang - Slave Pens.

His AoE Nature attack is a dot and can be cleansed. One healer would be difficult as everyone is constantly taking lots of damage. Any sort of AoE heal would be recommended as well as a poison remover.

I just healed through the fight alone, as a 63 shaman with tons of healing gear. The fight was relatively easy, and no one got killed.
Unfortunately we didn't get the resistance buff by the druid in the cage, since we were unprepared for the naga attack. Fortunately
we had a hunter with aspect of wild (+60 nature resistance), also, Nature Resistance Totem didn't seem to stack.
Drop down a poison cleansing totem, sit back, let the other group members heal themselves with either a potion or a bandage after the AoE poison attacks. Tank used shield wall, and I drank one mana potion. Nothing fancy.
I can imagine this being a piece of cake with two healing classes.

The final NPC for the "Lost in Action" quest gives the buff, no reason to not get it.
Easy tanking for a level 64 warrior with spell reflect. When he starts channelling, spell reflect to damage him.

Downed him with a group makeup of the following:
Level 63 Protection Warrior, Level 63 Feral Druid, Level 61 Feral Druid, Level 65 Arcane/Fire Mage, Level 63 Holy Paladin.
This guy has just a ridiculous amount of HP, and his poison/physical attacks hit for 1000+ damage a whack, even with the +110 Nature resist you get from the NPC.
I was the warrior, and I turned him away from the rest of the party, facing the pool he comes out of. I sundered up, then spent the rest of the fight hitting devastate and shield block. We had to keep one of the druids out of animal form dropping heals and abolish poison. Took forever and I had to pop Last Stand due to some lag issues (all the instances went down on our server shortly after), but he went down.
This fight is almost a gear/skill check. You either need someone who is REALLY on the ball at removing poison and healing, or you need the obscene stamina from BC equipment.
Simple fight though.
1. Let tank establish aggro and turn him away from the group.
2. Make sure someone is constantly getting rid of the poison and keeping the tank healed up.
3. DPS down. Mana using DPS classes will probably be dry before the fight is out.

Just FYI, if you wipe on the first try. The nature druid disappears, losing your buff if you want to reattempt.

NOTE: Be sure you get the druid buff before you attack him. The +110 nature resist helps alot.
Abilities:
1.) Poison bolt volley. Deals nature damage and then poisons everyone for DOT damage. Poison cleansing totems work best, otherwise a few abolish poisons work.
2.) Nature breath attack: Turn him away from everyone to avoid hitting your buddies

He uses Poison attacks, use Aspect of the Wild if you have. If you have a druid / shaman, remove the poison dot.
He shots a poison volly, which hits everyone nearby and puts on the poison dot.
He hit really hard so make sure that the tank got much agro before you start

Abilities:
Melee for 1000-1300 on a standard TBC level 63 tank (non-epic).
Poison Frontal Cone that can be removed off the tank.
RSTS 360 Poison Volley, can be mitigated via NR gear, nature pos, and because it is targeted at one person only, spread out your team to avoid collateral damage.
A mana potion or two won't hurt, same with NR pots. Face the boss away from camp.
We were not able to use the druid NPC as he was killed by the Naga spawned patrol, but with the hunter NR aura, it was not that big a deal. Our team did have to bandage themselves, and expend healer mana on the tank only.

Heroic: It's very important that you protect the npc which gives you the nature buff, during the event, where the nagas come, they can easily 1-2 shot him. I would advise you stand in front of him, and AoE fear once the naga's spawn, and then start crowd controlling.

Some advice for doing this guy on heroic:
Tank on one side of him, everyone else spread out around him. Have everyone spread out enough that his geyser ability will only hit one person. DO NOT try to be clever by avoiding the geyser, as it just follows you around. So chances are you're going to make it worse and get other people hit if you run around. Just eat it, and heal through it.
(Incidentally, you do see advice all over the place about how to avoid the geyser, usually by running through him or whatnot. Maybe that works on non-heroic, but definitely not on heroic. We had many wipes figuring out that advice was dead-wrong).
He has a cleave that rogues need to watch out for. Our rogue found a sweet spot that he only described as being slightly off-center behind him. If he stood directly-centered behind him, then he'd get hit with the cleave. This is second-hand advice, so take it with a grain of salt.
A priest with Prayer of Healing (for the poison bolt AoE) would make this a lot easier. We did it with 2 shaman though, with me (druid) tanking. We also did not have the nature buff, as that guy was mysteriously murdered by the 3 mobs that spawn (even though I picked them all up right away). We also used greater nature pots as a crutch, but they are so cheap to make now, it's a worthy investment.
So anyways, this is basically a tank-n-spank fight, and contrary to most advice, you should not be moving around much. Find a good spot and don't move, and heal through the damage.

I had noticed this in a previous post, and I only saw it mentioned once, so I thought I might expund on it a lot. Spell Reflect.
My group consisted of a Shaman (me), a druid, a warrior, a rouge, and a hunter. at first we tried lots of NR gear, and started to slowly shed it due to lack of dps, healing, etc. Eventually we ran out of pots, waiting on cooldowns, leaving to repair. After about an hour of wipes I did some reaseach and noticed a 64 warrior mention spell reflect. I mentioned it to the tank and he said he would try, it just wasnt predictable when it was going to happen. well, the first time he didnt have enough rage, but the 2nd time, he was able to get it off. it was astounding how fast his health started to drop. everytime after that when he did his gyser, first thing done was spell reflect, and there goes around 6% of his health. after that it was good game.
that may have just been something everyone else knew and I didnt, but hey, Spell Reflect and its good game.
*note we did have the rouge and hunter in 80 NR gear and had the hunter use his aspect of the wild.

We were there yesterday night on a heroic run, with a frost mage, a holy/disc priest, a shadow priest, a feral druid and a demonology lock. We had besides the Gift of the Wild-buff no resistances at all - just assured that Quagmirran doesn't face us (since he killed us clothies with the Geyser-ability before). The Felguard is pretty nice for extra damage, also the mage's pet. With the passive healing of Vampiric Touch it was quite easy for the holy/disc-priest to keep up the bear alone while the shadow priest added damage with Misery/Shadow Weaving and healed in the same time. Took us four attempts to get him down.

On heroic mode I have farmed him many times. Typically with 2 holy specced healers, a heavy fire mage and a prot tank.
A prot tank that will keep spell reflect up makes this fight much much easier.
When the boss does the geyser effect it has a 30 yard range, and you CAN run away far enough away not to get hit with it. When it's due for a geyser DPS and healing should back way off, this will make Quag geyser the tank only, with spell reflect up. I've seen the prot take out about 6% of his health per geyser wave.
Also the AOE posion bolting is not effected to which way quag faces; if you're within 40 yards you get it. Pallies cleansing posion off those that do get hit helps.

Heroic:
its intence fight he does a AoE Nature damage 10 sec poisen dot. my advice just out heal it takes more mana to try and remove it.
he allso does a debuff on 1 of the guys in our group u just move away from him while he has the debuff.
idd say 2 healers is needed would be nice with a hunter for the nature ress aura
no need for nature ress gear for the tank since its mustly your party members who struggle with the poisen dots.

We downed him and all the other bosses in there yesterday, i don't think any of us knew very much about his attacks so we didn't know what to expect.
Either we were lucky or there is nothing much to worry about.
Our group consisted of hunter, rogue, priest, mage and furu warrior. level 62-65
I was spamming sunders, revenge, slam and taunted him if i lost aggro. Straightforward fight, took maybe 2-3 minutes.
As in most other boss fights, much of the outcome depends on the healer and we had a very good one.

We did this guy on Heroic last night with set up:
1 Prot Warrior
1 Feral Druid
1 Frost Mage
1 Holy Priest
1 Resto Shaman

We didn't get the nature resist buff from the Druid in the cage because he got 2 hit by the spawns that came, that sucked. We did manage to kill him though :) That AoE acid attack he does hurts though.

On heroic, you can EASILY do this without the nature resistance buff, or any nature resistance buff at all.
And its very simple, the channeled ability he does, all you have to do is let a warrior tank him and when he begins to cast, taunt and use Spell Reflection
'cos its a channeled ability you reflect every bolt back at him :)

On heroic mode, if you want to make sure you can get the buff from Naturalist Bite move to the entrance where the adds spawn and tank there.
As long as he's kept out of range of the mobs he will not aggro them and won't get 1 shot.
Killl those, get your buff, pwn Quag

Heroic mode:
Last night after a wipe on Quagmirran, I popped and rezzed the priest. I was still standing at the entrance to his cave rezzing someone else while the priest ran even further away from Quag to rez a couple who had tried to get away from the wipe.
At this point, I'm closer to him than the priest is and I'm watching to see that he doesn't agro on me (this is my first time there on heroic) since I figure the guy has a huge agro range.
Suddenly, Quag starts running in my direction. I click on him and see that he's actually targeting the priest, not me. He one-shots the priest, then me, and we're left there scratching our heads.
Not sure what happened, but I'm chalking it up as a bug. It couldn't be agro radius because the priest was further away than me and I wasn't the initial target.

When you talk to Naturalist Bite, some adds come.
Our rogue said that if he was closest to the adds when you talked to Naturalist Bite, and he vanished, the mobs would evade, but you still be able to attack them. So we listened to him, and he was right. The mobs just wandered around, and we plowed em down.
Just a little tip for you people who are doing it on heroic if you have a rogue (This may work on normal slave pens, maybe not)
This works as of March 20th, '07.

Easy fight even on heroic... when he geisers.. have the tank taunt and spell reflect and it's gg.
评论来自

As of I don't know when he switches targets after every geyser, meaning that you have to save taunt for after the geyser. This means no more just spellreflecting it back at him; you're forced to let the party take the full cone of green death and then taunt it back after he runs away and trys to kill some mage.
Poison cleansing totem is heaven on this fight.

Heroic:
If you get your rogue to stand near the tunnel when the adds come to kill the buff npc, and you vanish they will stop. They will then just walk around confused and NOT fight back at all. Just kill them. This is working on the 26th of March, 2007.

Bring along a shaman with the group, while the rest of the party should be on spec. Use poison cleaning totem to help priest/healer remove poison faster. Nature resistance totem will stack with the druid npc buff, which helps mitigate the damage a lot.
As others said, Prot tank will need the put spell reflect at the right moment and the fight will be quite managable. We took him down without a single wipe in heroic mode.

jackpocalypse
Tips:
- Tank should turn him away from the group
- Everyone should spread out, since the poison spray is single target with a directed AoE
- The tank can taunt while Quagmirran is doing the poison spray to turn Quag back around to him
Not too tough. It also helps immensely to get the nature resist buff from the NPC in the cage. So don't skip the Defender pack :p

Downed him on heroic with prot warrior, combat rogue, fire mage, resto shaman and marksman hunter. However, wiped once when he acid-spewed the rogue(me) and then hit with an 8k dmg uppercut. The shaman only had 8.5k mana and we barely healed through it(tank died, dps'd him down in the following seconds). The key imo is having a healer with a buttload of mana.

Surprisingly, we downed this boss in Heroic last night with a 4 man PUG group.
Warrior, Pally, Fire Mage and Hunter (Me). The other 3 were partially T4/T5 geared.
The group struggled through some earlier parts of the instance primarily due to PUG group impatience and pulling before my traps were set. A 7.5k crit from a Crab is not funny. All bosses downed first try through.
For Quag, we had the full NR from the Druid, + my Aspect of the Wild. We just spread out around him and went for it. With only 2 DPS it was a long fight and i was down to < 1000 health, 2 times during the fight. Stopping and bandaging was no good as Nature damage was ticking. I took 2 health pots and a couple of heals from the Pally.

On Heroic, he can have his attack speed slowed by Slow (mage talent). By keeping it on for the whole fight it will take a huge load off your healer.

This boss seems to have a massively increased agro range if you wipe. Normally he will sit at the bottom of his little hole and u really gotta swim out there to agro him. If you wipe on him, he'll start walking around and come up to the front part of the water. At this point it makes it really hard to rez people, especially melee/tank who have died close by.
It takes a long while for him to walk back in the water, so as annoying as it may be, a walk back from the gy is often the best option.

Notes for SOLO at 70
I did this as a druid and some of the things are specific to druids.
1- Kill all monsters in his room.
2- Talk to Naturalist Bite.
3- Run to the entrance of the room so that when the mobs come Bite is as far as possible and doesn't join the fight.
3b- If Bite joins the fight, the monsters will cast fear on you and kill Bite. The buff Bite gives is too good to pass on.
4- When he starts to channel the "Acid Spray" he will be stationary and you can run to the entrance of the room.
While running you can cast your instant healing spells and then your regrowth. Start by Abolish poison if you have the poison on you.
Of course that the second time you run back to where you started the fight.
6- Keep close to the wall opposite Naturalist Bite otherwise he will engage and get killed.
I know you are not going to need him to give the buff a second time because you can kill the boss at the first try, I'm just saying. :p
5- He did around 50% melee damage and 50% nature damage to me.

It could have been a glitch but I noticed that if the tank fights him whilst he still has a foot in the water my hunter pet refused to attack him. Never had a problem in the past when he was completely out of the water but last time he still had a foot in it and pet refused to attack.
Probably worth making sure he is completely out of the water to be on safe side.

This boss is soloable on normal difficulty (mage). Clear a large area to kite, preferably back to the long corridor before the second boss. Aggro him with a ranged attack and stay ahead of him while keeping up Living Bomb. If he gets too close to you, he'll uppercut you into the air and catch up, so try to stay farther away from him than your Fire Blast range.
Use Mana Shield to absorb the poison volley and acid geyser -- the mark of bite and the Magic Absorption talent in the arcane tree are very helpful for this. Keep up your mana with mana gems and a mana pot. If you need another mana pot, use invisibility and immediately cancel it once you fully fade out (this resets your combat potion timer) and quickly hit Quag with a spell or reapply Living Bomb to prevent him from resetting.
Kite him back and forth between his spawn location and the corridor before the second boss, wisely utilizing the time he stops to use acid geyser to start kiting him back around the opposide direction (save blink for this).
Having Boar's Speed on your boots or the run speed meta are recommended.

Soloed on heroic difficulty as a level 80 feral druid tank. I made sure to get the mark of bite beforehand. As usual, spam mangle and keep lacerate, FF, and demoralizing roar up. I did not attempt to remove the poison DoT, so I'm not sure how that would change things. I had to use pretty much all my cooldowns, and it was still a pretty close fight, due to the unmitigated abilities he has.
Barkskin through the acid geyser as much as possible, berserk whenever you have the rage for constant mangling.

The reason why he bugs out is due to path of frost, if anybody uses it over him. He will fling above the cave( though still able to kill you ). So it's best to leave the water when this happens. He'll reset in like 1 minute.
Otherwise, you can Death Grip him or make your pet leap him, so he'll get unbugged.
Hope this helps.

The tank should pull the boss out of the water he is in - just to let you know - if the group wipes he does not return into the water because he has already been pulled.
Watch out for his acid spray /venom spit ability - it does horrible damage to casters - which is why casters should not be in front of him - there is no reason to actively move during the fight.
Note for Casters: Have killed this boss a lot of times - he doesn't seem to drop the cloth shoulder piece often at all.

Just finished this boss as heals, and have to say that acid spit is a pain to heal thru. Priest shield on target, and DPS person still died. Is it a random person or did the tank have him facing the wrong direction?
评论来自

Even in normal mode the acid spit and spew can deal out unhealable amounts of damage if hitting more than 2 people without a nature resistance buff. In the same room is a druid needed for a quest, talking to him when he's out of the cage allows you to get a 110 nature resistance buff - get it!
A good tank can also carry a bad group through this boss without deaths even without the buff by prematurely facing the boss away from the group and taunting when he starts to spew, using damage reduction cooldowns as seen fit.

our group was decimated in matter of seconds multiple time, before boss killed even NPC and basicly screwed up the dungeon for us
