I found this NPC in Dredhollow, Revendreth, South-West of the Wanecrypt Hill flightpath. He's where all the spiders are gathered on the east side. He's trapped in webbing on top of a stone monument. He first interacts with you by saying:

"Oi! You there. I'm in a bit of a pickle 'ere. Help me out would ya?"

"We won't make it far unless you kill their queen. Break her eggs. That'll make 'er mad."

He's part of summoning the rare Tomb Burster. You have to break all the egg clusters in the clearing. I didn't count, but there's probably 7-ish eggs to break. Then you begin to get waves of the regular spiders.

"Ooh, you made 'er mad! Looks like some of her cluster are on their way!"

You get progressively bigger waves, I was busy killing them, but I believe it goes: 2,3,4, & 4 or 5. Funguss, being trapped, shouts at you for each wave, then you get:

"'Ere she comes!"

And as you fight; "Keep going! I can feel my flesh rotting...even more than usual!"

Once you defeat her, he says; "Good job. Now, GET. ME. DOWN."

After releasing him, you can click on him for vendor items: Extra Sticky Spidey Webs (Cost: 20 Infused Ruby), Wriggling Spider Sac - WIP (Cost: 10 Infused Ruby), & Cyclonic Chronicles (Cost" 10 Infused Ruby).

As of right now, this NPC and the rare are connected to the Blushing Spiderling battle pet. It comes up as a potential drop from the Tomb Burster, and as a vendor item from Funguss. It wasn't an option for purchase when I interacted with him, so as of right now this means it's either, A: just not on his table yet, or B: only comes up on his table sometimes. If it's B, then we might see different items on his table at various times.

I kill the rare mob Tomb Buster, free Funguss but he dont sell any pet... a bug or maybe we need some other or its related to a WQ... or the pet its just a random item and you have to came back to free him every day. After you free him... Funguss desapper after a while.

I could not start the encounter with Funguss until after I'd cleared the daily quest.

Break the eggs to start the encounter. Easy to solo and rewards don't seem that bountiful.
