The Super-Seller 680 and Vendor-Tron 1000 are part of a scripted caravan that travels between two points in Desolace. The 680 appears when the caravan reaches the southern location, and the 1000 appears when it reaches the northern location. The two robots sell different sets of items.

When the caravan is at the southern location, one of the two goblins tells you that the 1000 should be set up at the northern location in an hour, but it only seems to take them 15-20 minutes to make the trip and the robot appears immediately. They seem to stay at each location for no more than 10 minutes.

There are quest for escorting them both directions. If a said person helps them by doing the quest, the travel time will take longer between the two points.

The robots travel the roads from Kormek's Hut (60, 39) in the north to just next to Gelkis Village (40, 79) in the south.

I tested this today.
Vendor-Tron 1000 stayed for about 13 minutes,
Super-Seller set up about 12 minutes later, and stayed for about 11 min.
The return trip north was about 12 minutes too.
both travel times include a stop early on to yell for guards.
Sadly, I did not think that there might actually be a quest at that point.

I paid this robot a visit today to get some cooking recipes. What really puzzles me is the dialogue that popped up when I clicked on him. He said the following: "DISCOVERY! Celia has discovered the Super Rejuvenation Potion recipe!".

My character Celia is level 37 and has tailoring and enchanting as professions. What's scary though, is that this recipe is the last one I discovered on my main, which is a character of the other faction, and even on another server. It has a different name as well.

Does anybody know what this is about? Pretty weird stuff.

I was sitting at 41,79 for close to 10 minutes waiting for people to show up for a quest and the caravan just sat there. I think that's the spawn point.

I brought some of his limited supply cooking recipes today between 17:00 - 18:00 server time and can confirm they were at both spots (north and south) as usual. Perhaps it was sorted after the extended maintenance this morning?

Think I figured it out - these guys travel extremely slow when not being watched. As a hunter, after getting tired of waiting, I sent my pet to see if they were coming. Sure enough, they were almost to me. Eyes of the Beast wore off and I expected them to show up any second.

After about a minute of waiting, I sent the raptor to go look again. They'd only moved about 50 yards in that time.

Moral of this story: Don't wait for them, find them and follow them to where you need to be.

If you're going for Sous Chef, chances are, you're gonna wanna find this guy, or his counterpart, Vendor-Tron 1000. They get set up on opposite ends of this caravan route and it's likely to have some recipes you don't have. I picked up five from him on my way to the 100 I needed to get the achievement.

The name of the caravan is Gizelton Caravan. You can see the route they take by looking at the NPCs in the caravan:

Do not make my mistake of buying from the Vendor-Tron 1000 and then going to the 680's spawn point. You will wait forever. Instead, follow them along the route to get them to their next stop faster.

If you ride ahead of them until you just barely can't see them, then stop, you will wait a WAY TOO LONG time for them to reappear. The second you stop looking at them they essentially stop moving (as others have said).

Stopping by this guy and buying all his cooking recipes is not a bad idea, in my realm some of them go for over 20gold or even more on AH. And since they only cost around 20s makes you make profit. :)

It should be noted that the caravan stops when traveling from north to south points for a good 5 minutes or so to allow people to get the quest to escort them to their next point. Not sure if they do it the other way.

The best way to get to both vendors "wasting" as little time as possible, is by first searching for the caravan, which is traveling between 58.38 and 40.78 on the main road.
Once you find it, wait for it to stop, always stay next to them, because if you run out of sight, they WILL stop moving, and as far as I know, somone will have to take a quest from one of them, to escort them further.
This will take ALOT longer, so just stay next to them as they travel. If they travel undisturbed, going from north to south will only take about 5-10 minutes.

In the south, you will get to buy from the Super-Seller 680 (40.78) and in the north (58.38) the other one.

I am replaying here,so my post is at the top of Comment List.

The Caravan Route is being described in this map.

When the Caravan is at the south edge of the route, Super-Seller 680 bot is spawning with some rare Cooking Recipies.

When the caravan is at the north edge of its route Vendor-Tron 1000 bot spawning with some other rare Cooking Recipies.

Note 1: The Cooking Recipies are limited Suply.
Note 2: If you complete the quest that Cork Gizelton giving to you,caravan will accelarate its speed till it reach its next destination (north or south).
Note 3: The caravan stays at its destination for 10Mins excactly

I encountered a trick on accident that sped up the trip from south to north. Not sure if it will work for everyone, but it did for me.

I encountered the caravan just before it got to the southern location. I purchased what I needed and waited. It left and I followed until it stopped announcing that it was looking for escorts. I took the quest and the caravan started walking really slow. Since I'm impatient, I abandoned the quest in hopes it would start walking fast again. It actually despawned the caravan.

Crap, I thought to myself. I rode back to the southern location and there was no caravan. So I rode the entire route to the northern location and when I arrived there, the caravan was there and Vendor-Tron 1000 was out and available.

Obviously you have to be able to acquire the quest, so if you've done it before, you probably won't be able to do this, but in the event you're like me and hadn't, try this out if you're looking to buy from both locations.

Confirmed. Only, I was unfortunate enough to try it the other way. I needed to make a purchase from the southern vendor, and while the caravan was headed south along the path, I picked up the quest and abandoned it, with the hope that they would respawn down south since that's the way they were headed. This trick works beautifully if you want them to get to the northern location quickly. Don't try to do it the other way around or you'll wait twice as long.

That said, they do move at about a run speed until they stop to yell for a bodyguard around 66,37. I picked up the quest to get them moving again right away, and they dropped back to a slow walk. When the quest was complete, they picked up to a run again. I'm not sure how long they wait to find a bodyguard, but I didn't want to find out!

I tried this method to aid speeding up the caravan walk, and what I've found is a way to cause the vendor to respawn (bare with me!)

Starting from the North position, the goblin wanted assistance. I helped and then abandoned the quest once he got walking. I mounted and went back to the south to see if he had reappeared but alas, no. Heading back to the North I found that he had respawned there and the vendor had a full compliment of recipes.

In effect, rather than waiting 30 minutes for the vendor to respawn with a restock, I managed to get the restock in about 15 minutes from the same vendor.

Interesting side effect.

Just tried forcing the vendor to respawn by accepting and abandoning the quest.

As of patch 3.09 the caravan respawns, BUT NOT THE VENDOR. GG waiting forever now.

I just did this - took the escort quest - followed it once I passed the dangerous part and bought all the recipes. You can only buy one of each but it's still a better deal than what some of these are going for in the AH

If you get the escort quest, their speed drops from approx 80% run to 40% run.

If you abandon the quest they vanish and respawn without the vendor bot at their previous end point and wait about 5 minutes.

I followed them each dirrection staying right with them and it only took about 5 minutes each time to make the trip. They're just a tab bit slower than walking speed.

Got to the northern point where the 1000 robot spanws and bought 6 recipes, got my sous chef achivment. He stood there waiting for me, guess i was lucky.

The limited supply cooking recipes the Super-Seller 680 has for sale do not have time to respawn before the caravan moves out. The result is that the recipes may only be purchased a single time each time it sets up shop.

Like many scripted NPC's (The racers in Shimmering Flats are another example. Try following them around the track and you will keep catching up), this caravan will not move AT ALL if no one is there to watch it. If no players are in range the server doesn't bother to update their position.

So, in answer to the question, "If a tree falls in a forest and no one hears it, does it makes a noise?" The answer for WoW apparently is: The tree cannot even fall unless someone is present.

Just as an FYI to any person who is trying to get the recipes from BOTH of the vendors...if you take the quest just to get them moving ((because you are impatient like me)) and then abandon...they will return to which ever point you started from...be it north or south...and you will have to wait for them to move again. So if you want to take the quest to get them moving it works....but finish it...for your own sanity.

Confirming most of what has been said before.

Found the Caravan heading north along it's route and followed it. It stopped at the northern stop and the Vendor-Tron 1000 spawned.

8 minutes later, "Cork Gizelton says: So sorry to leave a customer but we have places to go and people to swindle. We will be back sometime later today. Good-bye!" The robot despawns and the caravan moves off.

1min 30 seconds later, the caravan stops, "Cork Gizelton yells: I am looking for some bodyguards that would like to protect the Gizelton Caravan. We are stopped on the road east of Kormek's Hut, north of Kolkar Centaur Village." Stopped here for 5 mins. I did not pick up the escort quest.

They move off again, followed them the whole way south and they reached the southern stop and Super-Seller 680 spawned after 5 more minutes.

The roads have changed slightly in Cata (obviously) but it seems these guys are still doing their thing. I was looking for them to get some cooking recipes and found the caravan heading south-west along the path near Mannoroc Coven. They eventually stopped and set up their shop just north of the Gelkis area as before.

Not sure if anything has changed when they head north though, I got what I came for and hearthed.

Pretty much the same in Cataclysm...

I've been studying these guys a bit and it seems that most of the stuff said before is confirmed. I've even done the timings for them, if you follow them, but don't take any of the escort quests (just waiting).

7:45 - Arrival at Kormek's Hut (N)
7:55 - Departure from Kormek's Hut
7:57 - Wait for escort at Kolkar Village
8:01 - Escort quest timeout
8:08 - Arrival at Gelkis Village (S)
8:21 - Departure from Gelkis Village
8:22 - Wait for escort at Mannoroc Coven
8:26 - Escort quest timeout
8:33 - Arrival at Kormek's Hut (N)

So Vendor-Tron 1000 stays 10 minutes and Kormek's Hut, while Super-Seller 680 stays 13 minutes at the Gelkis Village. The quest timeout time is 4 minutes in both cases and the complete trip from one point to another, if accompanied by a player for the entire trip is around 12 minutes.

One thing to remember is that these guys behave differently when they're alone. What I mean is that if you follow them, they RUN. Problem is that when they're out-of-sight of any player, they drop their speed to very slow-pace walking so the trip takes longer than 12 minutes. To confirm this, I flew and waited for them at the Gelkis Village once they've departed Kormek's Hut at a very uncommon time (~6 AM server time) so that there were no other players in the zone to interfere. It took them exactly 40 minutes to make the trip.

So the best approach is for you to search for the caravan, rather than waiting for them at their vendor locations.

11:00 Finish quest
11:04 Travel through magram territory
11:06 Arrival at kormek's hut
11:17 Departs kormek hut.

To confirm they do travel faster if you keep them in sight.
Notes: if you do the quest they do travel at walking speed when in sight.
If you are looking for the kormeks hut is more north of lake/pond next to the cenarion wildlands.

I don't know if this was the case for all, or just for me, but to actually see their caravan, I had to first do quest from Scrabblescrew (their partner who is lcoated in post on a road just south of Cenarion base), only then I found caravan on the road north of Magram teritory with their escort quests waiting for me to start it
Before that nothing, I cruised around for 20 min, so I'm pretty sure you have to do this quest to trigger them.

You need to perform the escort quests to gain access to all the recipes. I completed both Quests on 08-03-2011 and gained access to both the Vendor-Tron 1000 and the Super-Seller 680.

The Northern Location for the 贸易机器人1000型 is 60.3, 38.2. The Southern Location for the 超级商人680型 is at 40.5, 79.3. I am standing right on top of the 超级商人680型 now as I type this. Arrived at 12:56pm, having departed the northern post at exactly 12:26pm.

A 30 minute trip precisely. Just now departed from the south at 13:07pm precisely. A stay of exactly 11 minutes.

Later departed the southern port of call at 20:38pm and also observed leaving the same place at almost 23:45pm. No server restarts in between the previous timings.

In my case, 贸易机器人1000型 arrived at 2:18 pm today at his northern position and after buying my recipes I immediately went to 超级商人680型 at his southern position. He arrived there at 3:07 pm. So it took almost 50 minutes from one spawn to the other.

Waited for about 5 minutes @ 40.79. It was 10:30am server's time. I didn't have to do any quest in order to buy recipes from this ncp. When the caravan made it to where i was, the ncp jumped down and i was able to go straight to him. ps: you are only able to buy each recipe one time.

Below I've given you 4 spawn points in Desolace to look for them. Once you find them, follow them, keeping them in sight. Weirdly enough, if you let them out of your sight, they move at a crawl, whereas if you're actually looking at them, they move much faster.

I've done kodo round up and i can't see the caravan, i walked/flew up and down the road and waited at both locations and still can't see them
i think they've removed it

i guess there's a bug with it going back almost a month

I was also wondering if the caravan has been taken out since the patch 5.04. I have went to both spawn locations and followed the caravan route up and down. I have yet to see the caravan.

Been traveling up and down the route all day the caravan follows and havnt seen them at all, since this new patch, before the patch I came across them no problem. I got a horrible feeling they have now been removed.

The caravan does not seem to be appearing anymore. I do not know if this is a glitch with all the recent patching or something that has been changed with Mists of Pandora. You would think they would add the venders to the goblin hut if they were removing the caravan as a questing line.

TL;DR: 2 Que-sts gone for good, 2 Ven-dors MIA, 3 re-ci-pes currently unobtainable,
and a touching letter from Game Master Evinderminus regarding Cork, Rigger, & the Kodos.
And Auction House Statistics for the recipes are now at the end of the comment.
PS - I intend to re-update when the recipes are once again available in-game.

This NPC seems to be AWOL. (30JAN14) Went to designated coordinates, battled several critters, fished in pond. NPC did not appear or re-spawn.
